Let me take time out from bashing the panhandling wannabie lawyers who can't drive, and blame others for their own stupid mistakes to focus back on a truly dreadful middle aged man. This could only mean Ian aka "Brutus the Brute". As has been pointed out by other posters....this dumb ass has no problem blaming his wife for damn near every misfortune that befalls them, but did anyone notice how he claimed full responsiblity for their arriving somewhere in the middle of the pack last night. He told Phil how "he" had pushed, cajoled, and drove his poor suffering wife into finishing somewhere other than last. I thought this was a team race. This moron has probably never uttered a kind word towards, or about his wife in his twenty plus years of marriage. It was obviously beyond his grasp to thank, praise, or otherwise include his wife in his victory dance. I bashed team reverend in TR2 for crediting the lord with every and anything that they did, and although many agreed with me, there were many others who disagreed. However team rev was a mutually supportive couple who, by their actions, and to their absolute credit demonstrated mutual respect, caring, and dare I say love for each other. Ian is a moron who is as self centered and self absorbed as Will and Tara. Ian, you have a lot of class, but all of it is third.

IMHO, this was Ian's way of acknowledging he had been behaving badly and this was his way to apologize to Teri. You and I may not get all warm and fuzzy with his "gesture"; however, I have noticed how Teri takes Ian with a grain of salt and an eye roll or two...reminds me so much of how my father and mother interact (lovely visual of my former home life huh?!)
