I grew up with them and I consider myself an expert. I would like to know your opinions on some very important 90210 matters 1. Should Dylan be with Brenda or Kelly? 2. Should Kelly be with Dylan or Brandon? 3. Was Donna losing her virginity the cheesiest thing ever? 4. Best Bad girl, Brenda, Valerie or Gina? 5. Who was the best woman for Steve, Clare or Janet? 6. "RE: Beverly Hills 90210" LAST EDITED ON 07-15-03 AT 12:31 PM (EST) I watched more of this program than I care to admit... freshman year of college my roommate and I were one of the few folks on our floor with a TV (does that even happen anymore... college kids today seem to have everything) and we were more than glad to host weekly viewing parties for some of the girls on the floor. Actually now that I think about it, it wasn't even a TV... it was an old VCR that my roommate's parents had let him take to school that (like all VCR's) had it's own TV tuner and we hooked it up to a 15 inch computer monitor we had. I think that was the second season of the show... we got stuck living in the same dorm again as sophomores and did the same thing again, only by the second year we'd gotten a real 13 inch TV (woo-hoo! ...of course I think we still had our custom shelving built of empty Domino's pizza boxes, Pringles cans, Coke cans, and duct tape) I barely watched any TV in college... of course the fact that the dorms didn't have cable (Real World what?) helped. -SB   Top

The show started when I was a sophomore in college and the cast followed us exactly four years behind. So when they graduated HS, my friends and I were graduating college. They were actually in HS only 3 years, but I think they were juniors the first 2 years because they were all driving from day one. Of course, the actors themselves were my age and older. 2. How many story lines revolved around drug/alcohol abuse? Most of em. The earlier episodes were more family-oriented, but as they grew up, so did their issues. Lots of sex too, with lots of people. 3. Is it true that Tory Spelling is often mistaken for a horse? I always thought of her more as a donkey. Horses are elegant creatures, you know.   Top

I watched it every Wednesday and I was crushed when it went off the air. As a matter of fact, I gave up part of the Survivor finale to watch the 90210 reunion. 1. Should Dylan be with Brenda or Kelly? Brenda. I actually liked Brenda and think her and Dylan were soul mates. 2. Should Kelly be with Dylan or Brandon? I guess Brandon. I was never a huge Kelly fan, but they did have a cute relationship. 3. Was Donna losing her virginity the cheesiest thing ever? Oh man, the whole relationship was cheesy! 4. Best Bad girl, Brenda, Valerie or Gina? Valerie was the supreme b!tch! I loved watching her scheme. I never thought of Brenda as a real bad girl, but the "if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck" scene had me LMAO. 5. Who was the best woman for Steve, Clare or Janet? Janet. I like Clare, but Janet understood Steve and his personality quirks much better. 6. And make your predictions on what you think their characters are doing now Dylan and Brenda-Living on a beach with 2 kids is the perfect ending for them. Kelly and Brandon-Brandon's the editor of a liberal magazine and Kelly is a housewife taking care of their 2 kids. Donna and David-David is a music star and Donna is his manager. They have 4 kids that they take on tour with them. Steve and Janet-Janet is a marketing director for a huge firm making bank and Steve stays home to play Mr. Mom to their 6 children (well, we all know that Steve is a horny devil!). Andrea has found the love of her life and is running on the Democratic ticket for Vice Pres. Thanks, Trish! It's so fun to think about these characters again. I miss the show.   Top

"RE: Beverly Hills 90210" My roommates and I were addicted to this show in college and then I got Mr. Spidey into it too. It was such a major cheesefest I couldn't resist it. (But the spin-off Melrose and the crazy not-dead Kimberly with the plate in her head blew big time) 1. Dylan and Kelly, definitely. No question. Brenda was a whiny beyotch who never appreciated the amazing family she had and poor beautiful Kelly was the rich girl no one cared about. And I'll always remember the cabana scene of forbidden love. So much cooler than Brenda losing her virginity after the prom. 2. Kelly and Dylan. See above. Plus Brandon, nice guy and all, is a wanker. 3. It's a close call between that and the prom scene with Brenda and Dylan. But I think the tie-breaker goes to David and Donna with the candles and the lingere and the "Surprise! Do you like your present?" I think they cheeseclothed the scene too, a nod to Moonlighting? 4. Valerie. She got around way more than the others. Slutty bad girls are always better. Add in her numerous criminal acts and I think we have a winner. 5. I really liked Claire, but Janet was clearly good for Steve, so I'll go with Janet. 6. Steve and Janet have 3 kids and he stays at home with them while Janet works a beat at the LA Times. Steve has to stay home anyway, because he is serving out a term of house arrest for getting involved in an illegal pyramid scheme. Dylan and Kelly live on the beach and spend their days surfing and sunning. They've had to cut back on their world travel because Erin is living with them since Jackie threw her out for hosting too many teenie-bobber orgies at their house. Brandon is running for a congressional seat and has a large lead in the polls over his fellow republican primary candidates. Let's just hope his DUI doesn't come out ... David and Donna are seeing a marriage counselor because Donna is upset that she missed out on her youth and has uncontrollable urges to hump random men in the street. Thanks Lady T!
