Foa Foa gets together says Dave. Shambo wants Dave and they don't want to get her upset. Monica tries to make Shambo look like more of a jury threat than Dave. RussHell does say that he knows he can beat Dave at the end so that could be a reason to keep him. RussHell goes to Dave and asks why he didn't come to him. Dave says the Lord fricking provides so anything can happen.   Top

Still, IF and that's a big if, Jaison and Mick were about to vote out Russell and chickened out, they could have stayed with it because they knew Russell was voting Monica. Going with Brett is stupid so maybe Russell saved them from their own stupidity. The correct move for Mick and Jaison was to vote out Shambo. Do like Cirie did in Panama and Rafe in Guatemala: Go goat hunting, eliminate Russell's options.   Top

I haven't been keeping up with all the threads this week so just went back and found your original post and you totally nailed it: Suppose Russell whips out the hidden II before they all vote and announces that oh yes, make no mistake, he plans to play it after the vote, so vote for Russell at your own peril. Then, to complete the bold move -- HE DOESN'T PLAY IT. And, lo and behold, he has gotten no votes. It could be something like that, the "shocking performance by someone who fears he's on the chopping block." And the promo calls Russell the "master manipulator." I do think all the Russell stuff comes after the first boot, and the big move is designed to work as a deterrent to Mick and Jaison, who Russell believes are gunning for him. What else would he need to make a big move for?   Top

When I read it I thought how smart would it be for Russ come up with that ploy and actually do it. But I put it into the catagory of things that the viewing audience can come up with in the comfort of their Recliners, but that is difficult to see for someone living in their circumstances on the Island. We've seen so many potential brilliant ploys that they never think of. This is another reason why Russ really stands out.   Top

Are people really going to remember that as "the boldest move ever made at a TC?" I don't think so. The plot against Russell still seemed somewhat indefinite heading into TC, and I suspect that Jaison and Mick had already decided not to vote for Russell. Otherwise I think they would have edited it to be more dramatic.   Top

Seriously, yes, I noted that also. The first Day 32 was probably a typo and that was day 31, Dave voted out the same day as the IC. Day 33 had a scene of them returning from IC if I remember so it must have been partly filmed on Day 32 and the vote was on day 33.   Top
