The beginning of the show was edge-of-the-seat good and I thought, Yes, we are going somewhere tonight! However, when the show was over, I was left feeling a little flat.

Widmore's team is now pointing guns at the Losties which also includes Jin (the way they filmed the reunion was rather disappointing too - oh and look, Sun has her voice back too!) whom Widmore would not want killed. Jack jumps overboard in jeans in the middle of the bay and washes up on shore right in front of Locke so he can be "The Last Recruit." Those rocket grenades that Widmore is launching reminds me more of the producers loving big explosions and special effects than really driving the story - an explosion is not going to kill Smokey and you would think Widmore knows that.

Next week's show is a repeat of Richard's episode. I guess the producers really think the cork in a bottle analogy is a good one regarding Smokey.
