Heather was actually ok as a competitor, but Eve was just not competitive enough (in nature) to handle the pressure of the race. What's wrong with casting two Type-A Women who can play? We've obviously seem strong women in this game-- (Amie, Margarita, Mary, Emily, Paige) just not two of them on the same team.

You forgot Heather and Karyn. And, boy are you right. I really thought we had broken the spell with these two, but things quickly fell apart.

This is soooo lame. To think the strongest woman on this race has been Margarita, way back on TAR1. She would have won, if her partner wasn't an ass.

If there is a TAR4, they need to work on this, like NOOOWW !!!!!

Add me to the chorus. And not only did they cast lame female teams, they only cast two of them. And when I saw the "soccer moms" I knew the charges of sexism on TAR would resurface.

Really, I think the Gutsy Grannies were Jordan-level compared to those moms. Why are the moms, especially, super-lame (except Nancy)? Patand whoever were also extremely weak competitors.

In defense of Peach, it was really Mary's fault when they lost. But their demise also shows bias, because the previous week they were first, and it was a non-elimination week. Every other non-elimination week, the first team was awarded a free trip, but what did M&P get? Zip! Nada!

How do you know when a team is strong? Until you see them race, you really can't tell. A team can seem great on paper but that doesn't necessarily mean that they will be good during the actual race. TnT looked good on paper and see what happened to them. Maybe they should expand the try-outs to include a mini-race. That would give a much better sense of a teams strength. I do agree that it would be nice to see more all woman teams.

TnT looked good on paper?!?!? Go look up the original PTTE thread in Fanatics and look at how many people picked them to go really early. I thought on paper they looked very weak. (Too young, unworldly, naive) Almost all the teams that people pegged as "weak" are gone with the exception of Ian and Teri. Unlike Survivor, TAR is the one show where the weak players are easily evident by their profiles. (Gina and Sylvia being the most obvious offenders)

With all the psychological testing that goes on at CBS for reality shows, it shouldn't be hard to pick out to extremely competitive women, who are also in shape, and have decent intelligence. Mary and Peach were the closest, but still not quite, you got the impression that Mary was really dragging Peach around.

Well, you beat me to this post, but I've been saying that since the "run up the pyramid" moment.

Put Jill and Mary together and you have a team that can win. And I'd rather see that than another Chex.

Of course, CBS casts the show with an eye toward conflict and drama and ratings, so they want teams where at least one player is geeky, freaky or weak.

Two competent, level-headed women who have the ability and the drive to win - how boring is that?

These reality show contestants need a reality check!

Maybe TnT don't have travel experience but their youth and strength might have carried them farther than they got. As far as the rest, I just watch the show, I don't analyze these people in minute detail.
