"SurvivorBlows Tribe, Time To Vote: S18 Ep 8" |
The Rules1. Put the name of your choice for this week's boot in the subject heading! This is easy, just erase the bit where it says "Re: SurvivorBlows Tribe, Time to Vote..." and replace with your vote, e.g., "Taj!" Or, for example, if you think this will be a two-boot week: "Taj and Bubbles!" It doesn't matter which order you put them in unless it matters to you. This makes it easier to tally votes quickly and accurately. Nicknames are tougher to tally unless they're really obvious without actually reading your post. Other things you want to vote on, exiles, who wins what challenge, who makes the title quote, et cetera, these should go in your post not in your subject line. 2. Reply only to this post! We like a nice straight vote thread around here. Don't take it personally, we're just that way. EXCEPTION TO RULE 2! VOTE CHANGES!2b. But to change your vote reply to your own vote post! Your new post heading should read, for example, "VOTE CHANGE: Sierra!" (Or perhaps "VOTE CHANGE: Sierra and Stephan!") 3. This is not a discussion thread, do not treat it as such. There are plenty of places on the Spoilers Forum to debate he merits of people's arguments. But feel free to discuss the logic of your vote in your own post, cast all the extra votes there you want, who wins what challenge, whether an HII gets played at Tribal, who is the head of the dragon, how whitewater rafting is really an upper Brazilian thing to do, we really are interested in what you have to say. 4. No graphics, expecially no sig pics! This could theoretically become a very long thread, the fewer graphics the better. If you have to do graphics make them pertinant. 5. Have fun! That's why you're here, right!! The DAWs! Forza (green buff) merge tribe Coach Ben "Maestro" Wade (Timbira/Forza) Brendan Synnott (Timbira/Forza) Debbie "Bubbles" Beebe (Timbira/Forza) Erinn Lobdell (Timbira/Forza) James "JT" Thomas, Jr. (Jalapao/Forza) Sierra Reed (Timbira/Forza) Stephen Fishbach (Jalapao/Forza) Tamara "Taj" Johnson-George (Jalapao/Forza) Tyson Apostol (Timbira/Forza) Eliminated Carolina Eastwood (Jalapao) Candace Smith (Timbira) Sgt. Jerry Sims (Timbira) Sandy Burgin (Jalapao) Spencer Duhm (Jalapao) Sydney Wheeler (Jalapao) Joe Dowdle (Jalapao/Forza) medical evacuation Jury ???

This vote could be a bit premature, I won't hesitate to change my vote should more information be arriving that negates this choice. However, this episode pits Brendan et al vs. Coach et al. But before that, we have an epic reward of white water rafting. After much analyzing I am confidant that the unlikely trio that makes the trip are indeed the black team, Brendan, JT, and Debbie, leaving those left at camp to worry that Brendan will woo the every popular, JT...Along comes the IC, which, rather than an endurance challenge is likely some kind of shooting contest or very, very physical challenge. But, with no vidcaps, it more likely is some kind of puzzle of some kind. I doubt that either Coach or Tyson will win...could be Stephen, Brendan, or JT or even Erinn. I don't know how the TC will go...at this point, with no hype in the promos regarding an idol being played, I am thinking that there will not be a HII played. But, the scheming from last week will be for naught and indeed we will have a huge blindside for the snarkiest player out there...co-Coach, Tyson. Afterall, he's told us in previous episode how much he LOVES blindsides...

Tyson, the co-coach, is collateral damage in the war between Brendan and Coach.

I think all the talk about slayer is setting him up to be slain. It would certainly be a blindside.

Just to be different. And Because as much as I think wish this were the episode that either Coach or Tyson (or even Brendan) goes in a "blindside", I'm not sure. I fear if I blindly follow I'll miss something obvious. So, other than the main three targets, Erinn is "low-man" on seemingly everyone's totem pole. An easy vote that really doesn't disturb anyone's myriad alliance ties. That and swing voters get targetted from time to time, right? Or it could be Sierra. She's no one's favorite either. *crosses fingers that all of the above is just hooey and I finally get my wish*

Just following the editing I have always thought Coach will outlast Tyson. Tyson's edit last week really made him look nasty. And I think he is due for the famous Blindside.

He had the confessional immediately after Jeff told them that Joe was gone. I think it was to show that Tyson was the one most affected. Too much scheming and not good enough at covering his tracks.

I'm kinda split on this one. The cross-tribal alliance either has to take control in this episode or rely on their HIIs in the next episode, the best strategy is to take control now and keep the HIIs out of play.Ben is the most logical target for the CTA, and the edit on his narcisistic dementia have viewers just waiting for him to get his. Should he win immunity, though, the CTA has to take out one of his wingmen. Debbie is the only player totally behind Ben, Tyson is backing him just as long as it amuses him, Erinn has just adopted a strategy of playing along in order to avoid more ridiculous drama. Logically, Tyson is the fallback boot of the CTA, just on grounds of being a challenge threat. The biggest trouble I have with this all is it relies on Ben actually performing well enough in a challenge to win immunity. But in the promos Ben doesn't appear as emaciated as he does in the weight-loss spoiler photo, so I'll just assume Ben must win the immunity challenge by some bizarre alignment of the stars in his favor, or something equally inexplicable.

Everyone knows he's co-coach, but Coach has other allies too. Still, I think Tyson goes this time, as he is more of a challenge threat.

LAST EDITED ON 04-16-09 AT 04:16 PM (EST)Just to be different. I'm just not getting a "Tyson leaves now" vibe. But also because there was so much invested in the Coach/Brendan show-down last week only to have it shelved; I somehow think the delayed climax must occur this week. It all depends on which way JT and Steven decide to go. I think they will vote with the Coach alliance, which should make Tyson relatively safe. *If* Tyson leaves I think two things must happen: 1) Coach wins immunity (which I am having a hard time with) and 2) Brendan uses the idol to bounce Tyson since he can't get to Coach. It's possible, but I dunno... I also agree with tribephyl about Erinn and Sierra being potential boots as well. Should be a fun episode.
