I'm guessing that Bob's immunity makes it's appearence and somehow Randy ends up with it around his neck. Will he be duped? Whether or not she survives, she doesn't look confident. Brownroach, the "reeking" totally cracked me up. I'm glad to see someone else remark that "wreaking" is still the standard form. But what if Randy is literally forcing people to smell him, trying to perturb them and get them off their game -- or perhaps trying to get them to quit. I so wish Matty and Sugar would send Crystal home, but it seems unlikely. I don't know why Randy would have on Bob's faux necklace going into Tribal Council -- usually the "Hidden" one's don't appear until just after they have voted. Therefore, it is reasonable to think that that is indeed the Immunity necklace around Randy's neck and he will be safe from Tribal Council. Bob's Necklace will not fool any of Sugar, Crystal, Kenny or Matty, (and most likely Susie) as they all know that Sugar has the real one. Lastly, I don't see Randy winning Matty over to their side either this week. Logically, he is stronger than any of the old Fangs AND he has Sugar with the HII watching his back. So far, I think we may have a pagonging of the Onions. If Randy has Immunity, than it's either Corrine or Bob whose neck is on the line, IMHO.   Top

They are trying to make the others think it is real. But it's a total Bluff...is Randy a better poker player than JOnRobert? Is the pope Catholic I don't think Jiffy would tell the others until after the vote and only IF Randy played it. Randy would not actually play it though knowing it to be fake. But by then the votes are already cast. He can wear whatever he wants to TC and say whatever he wants. Until it is played I don't think Jiffy would say a word and interfere. "RE: Faux Idol pics" It does not have to be around his neck, and I don't think it is anymore, for them to try to fake CSK out. REmember they got those necklaces (with blue in them) on Reward last week. I think that Bob will tell Randy it's fake and Randy is probably checking it out around Bob's neck in that vidcap, probably saying wow that looks so real and then he tries to convince Bob to give it to him to use. Randy is a better liar than Bob so Randy is the front man and the Uthongs are not going to target Bob they will target Randy (and/or Corrine first). Maybe Bob even has won II. So they go to TC without anyone knowing about the fake idol except Bob and Randy and possibly Corrine (there's conflicting things going on with Corrine this week...she says "we have to get this right" but she is shown after Randy says people at TC will be surprised). Randy says he has it at TC and maybe even opens up the wrapping to show them a glimpse) Then SSCK and maybe Matty don't know exactly what to do and split their vote, some still voting for Randy and others switching to Corrine. The CRB and possibly Matty vote for one of CSK, if Matty is in on it I think it will be Susie bc he is not as close and one of CKB has the II (only ones not shown compeletely in walk to TC) CKB have to hope that Uthong splits their vote. They must try to get one more on board with them, i.e. Matty, to better avoid Uthong calling bluff and there being a 5/3 vote against Randy. But how do they convince Matty without telling him about the fake idol? They can't trust that he won't tell CSSK. Therefore, they have to give Matty his choice of whom he wants to vote out...Susie imho...and further try to convince him by telling him hes not F3 with CK, rather Susie is F3. So CRB are hoping for 4 votes for one of CSK and 3/1 or 2/2 for Randy/Corrine. There could still be a 4-4 tie if CSSK all stick with Randy vote or all switch to Corrine. If that's the case, what would happen in a revote? Say it's 4-4 Randy and Crystal. The remaining 6 would revote and know that Randy has not idol or he would have played it. Then Corrine/Bob would be only votes left. Matty would/should turn against Randy at that pt. to avoid the purple rock? But they are hoping that by Randy bluffing they will split the vote and win with 4 votes.   Top

"IC Winner" LAST EDITED ON 11-16-08 AT 08:40 PM (EST) Here we can see the challenge course, where they carry a bag, presumably of puzzle pieces, to assemble at the end of the course, and do a balance beam challenge, where they must run to the first pole, knock it down, where then every other vertical pole drops down, as a domino effect, so they can run it to the end. We see here... Moving from proximal to distant, we have: Susie - blue Bob - yellow Kenny - purple Randy - green Crystal - red Corrine - black Matty - orange We can see that Matty, the farthest away on the end, is winning the challenge at this point, note all of his beams are down and he is on his way. Kenny is in second, just knocking down the first beam. From the looks of these vidcaps, it looks like Matty will easily win the race portion of the challenge, yet, there is most likely some rule that says if you fall off, then you must start all the way back at the beginning...Here is the tribe as they leave for TC... And, here is an old pic of the IN's, for comparison... So, we can conclude that: 1. At first appearance we note that Susie, Corrine, Randy, and Matty are not wearing the IN. So, they must not be the IC winners, which would mean that one of Crystal, Kenny, Bob, or Sugar did. If the challenge ends with the completion of a puzzle, as it seems, who is most likely to win? Perhaps, Bob could win the IC challenge and give his fake idol to cover another one in his alliance, Randy? JUST food for thought... ETA: spelling   Top

Note the necklaces that Corrine and Sugar are wearing. I think that the necklace Randy is wearing on his way to TC is one that he must have gotten at the Native Feast/Festival. I don't think he'd wear a hidden II around his neck...fwiw.   Top

"RE: Ep 10, Vidcap Thread" Let's examine all of the necklaces: After re-examining all of the evidence, I have to concur with Flowerpower that Randy does NOT have the Immunity necklace on as he leaves for Tribal Council. If you look at his necklace, you will see specs of blue as well as a blue bead. Then, look at Corrine's necklace -- she also has a blue bead. If you look at the two images of the real Immunity Necklace, you'll see that they are more broad and they have NO blue beads or any other color other than earth tones. Therefore, we can indeed conclude that one of Crystal, Kenny or Bob wins this challenge. I'm going to have to go with Kenny, the gamer on this one or possibly Bob, as a long shot. Either of those two will be more likely to solve the puzzle faster.   Top

Randy says there's gonna be a lot of surprised people tonite. If he does have it I don't think he will wear it to TC but that boldness could be part of the plan. I still don't think that Randy is done yet. This could backfire on Bob another blindside of a "less evil" onion like Charlie instead of Corrine or Randy. Bob had a increase in game confessionals. Or if this works and Matty goes along with Randy's plan then he might ask to go after Susie as the F3 he wants to replace (who disappeared in confessionals even though she won II) Regular old OFG theory says it's either Randy or Bob ETA: Could Bob be setting up Randy? And Randy is the surprised one at TC? "RE: Ep 10, Vidcap Thread" My prediction of what is to come: Randy stirs up the camp -- makes everyone angry. They go to Tribal Council and Randy tells them that Bob has given him the HII from Exile Island. The five Fangs (Crystal~Kenny~Susie~Matty~Sugar) who had all planned to vote Randy out this week are suddenly screwed. They're Fangs after all and have NO Plan B and their votes will be split between Bob and Corrine, while the three onions all vote Crystal. Will this work? I don't think so as the HII is not real. The only onion it'll save this week is Dandy Randy, while one of Corrine or Bob will be sent home. I have one question, however, what happens if the votes are tied 3-Crystal; 3-Bob; 2-Corrine? Will there be a revote?   Top

If he did, then it would be easy, even for Fang, to figure out that they all throw their votes to Corrine and send her home. Bob giving up his idol to the most hated man in the tribe just doesn't make sense if he doesn't have some protetcion of his own. He can do math, and the only way he would give it up was if he was protected. Either he won the IC, or he told others it was a fake.   Top

In the promos on Sunday (we need FP to post ) Randy says there's gonna be a lot of surprised people at TC tonite and CSM is shown. Then later during TAR the Four are shown again in a quick 5 second promo. I'm actually leaning toward Susie the invisible one after her II win last week. Matty wants to replace her in the SCK F3 to make it a MCK F3. He can't win if an Onion or Sugar is there with him bc the jury will be packed with other onions. His best F3 is Crstal and Kenny.   Top

CKMSusie know it is fake. - Sugar has given Randy the real HII, and he pulls that at Tribal after CKMS have voted for him. Then Sugar, Corinne, Randy and Bob are suddenly in power. Crystal, Kenny and Matty seem very strong. With Susie they are dominant and will be F4 unless broken NOW. Hopefully someone can see this and talk Sugar into using her HII strategically to break that strong 4. Would Bob and his FauxHII be smart enough to pull that off? I hope so! Even if they hate Randy and his obnoxiosity he is a valuable vote to keep in the game, and not likely to win at the end if he survives. Randy is pointing out that Matty will not be in the F3 with the Old Fangs, in an effort to get him to switch and join in with Randy/Corrine/Bob...that is why there is focus on Matty...but will he betray Crystal/Kenny/Susie this week, I am not convinced that he will. So, Randy is being incredibly obnoxious this week and nasty to the old Fangs, especially Crystal. She vehemently hates him, he's nothing but an "evil troll". Ken has to reel her in and is seen telling her that he is the glue that holds them together. Sugar is seen in confessionals also saying she loathes Randy. Randy's attempt to sway Matty/Sugar is failing so he has to have a plan "B". He devises a plan "B" when he learns from Bob that Bob has a hiddden II(don't know if they will know it's fake or not). We see Bob wearing it and Randy touching it, and in one shot I think Randy is seen with it wrapped up in his hand. He is going to devise a plan to be executed at TC in order to save himself. Randy is indeed the one going for broke...What could he possibly do? We also hear Corrine say that they "have to get this right, if we get this right the whole game will change", which makes me think that all of Bob/Randy/and Corrine are all in on "the plan". So, what could they do with a "fake idol"...they could let it slip to Matty/Sugar that Bob has found another HII at EI. Perhaps, they will even get a glimpse of it, as it does look far more realistic than Ozzy's did, and according to Jiffy, more authentic than the authentic one. So, at TC, perhaps they will pull a bluff to save them all. Randy could say that "one of us has it, and you all won't know which one of us until after you have voted...", or, something to this effect. Here is the Voiceover for the 20 second promo... Randy: I'm gonna burn this house down... Announcer: One Castaway is going for broke...(picture of Randy) Jiffy: As Matty scurries across the balance beam in the IC, "Matty doesn't hesitate" Announcer: Randy is shown, "insulting everyone", then shot to Matty and then to Sugar... Sugar: "I loathe him" Then shot of Fake II... Announceer: "But with a fake Immunity Idol in play", Randy: "if Bob would give me the idol" Announcer: Will his strategy work at Tribal Council? I don't think that the old Fangs would have a plan "B" and I definately think that they are solid with a Randy boot prior to the TC...so, if the plan works for Randy, he is saved, yet if he is saved then one of Corrine or Bob is toast, or, Randy is toast... As he pointed out last episode before the reward, he's been with Fang since the beginning through every switch. If he betrayed his alliance at this point, he'd be toast with the jury - the onions wouldn't vote for him over one of their own, and the Fang wouldn't vote for a backstabber. What could surprise Matty at TC is seeing his name written down on votes...by the onions. If he doesn't have II, they could target him amidst their dangerous plan. What I'm wondering about is how the Fang figure out the idol is fake. a) They figure it out on their own, since they know Sugar has the idol. b) Since almost everyone already knows she has it, Sugar says something like, "Well that doesn't look like the one I've got" during TC, to arouse suspicion. c) Bob told them. The three reasons I think c might be a possibility? Bob is not in the shot of the surprised people. And during the first tribal switch - the ranking/pick 'em - Jeff made an ominous comment about Bob not being picked for so long even though he had been ranked high, and so far, we haven't seen that impact. And the third reason is a basher one - Fang is stupid.   Top

No single person from the five person alliance can flip at this point because it'll be a 4-4 vote. The only way it works is for 2 to flip - Matty and Sugar. However if they do, so what? They're in a different 5 person alliance and again they're at the bottom of the pecking order. Matty and Sugar will not flip yet. Next episode, maybe, but not this one. Now last episode, Sugar had an unusual confessional after the RC - they almost never put confessionals there. The basic thrust of the confessional was "Bob won't find a HII because I have it. Ken, Matty, and Crystal all know I have it." Basically, I think there's no way anyone on Fang falls for the fake HII. Randy will try something but it won't matter. I was just stating that those people were the only ones who COULD have it. Bob's cat in the canary face is because he is not at all in danger. He figues this is the best time to try to use it to try to get RCB further and he has no risk if it fails. If Uthong thinks it's a fake Randy still goes, if they are afraid Corrine would get the votes....and the best thing would be if they were able to split the votes...but that still hinges on Matty voting with them. I don't think it would be that bad of an idea for Matty to do it here to oust Susie and then go back to CKSugar next week to pagong the onions. He needs to get SUsie out to have better shot as becoming the F3 with CK, esp. with his hope on going on an II run come next week. I know it's probably hyperbole but Jiffy does say in his blog that this week's show is really good. I just don't think he'd say that if Randy's plan fails. The dominant alliance has a 5-3 advantage plus the hidden immunity idol, which should punch their tickets to F5 as long as they follow the logical path of booting the lesser alliance members one by one until they're all gone. That means Corinne, Randy, or Bob is the boot. Bob's sympathetic edit leads me to believe he isn't the first "onion" to go, so I arrive at the same conclusion as Corvis, that it'll either be Randy or Corinne this week. And given how obnoxious he's been, I think Randy goes before Corinne unless he somehow wins individual immunity. Jeff: It is Episode 10 of Survivor Gabon and the good vs. Evil theme is in full force. Sugar and Corrine are battling it out. Corrine is having to bite her tongue alot because we are now in a situation where every time you vote somebody out they are a member of the jury and they could determine whether you win the game or not. So, people have to start placating each other and it makes Corrine absolutely miserable. We also have the survivor auction. And there is a great moment, a GREAT moment with Randy, that only Randy could provide us, and it just shows us that you can't predict human nature and you can't change who you are because in the middle of a game for a million dollars, Randy doesn't seem to care about who he offends. Randy in confessional: "I left the auction broke, full, half drunk, and pissed off..." Cut to Randy talking to Matty at Camp: "I gotta little room left for one big cookie..." If Bob is trying to help Randy, he has to let Randy know that the idol is fake and he can only wield it as a threat. If Bob wants Randy gone (or doesn't care if Randy leaves), he doesn't have to tell Randy the idol is fake. But there would also be no reason to even give Randy the idol in that case. Bob might be able to use it later. So it makes more sense that Bob is trying to help Randy, which means Randy should know that it isn't real. Surfkitten Summer Sigshop 2008   Top

I don't understand why Matty jumping over to a C/B/R alliance is even in question at this point? He knows that the jury will be Kota-dominated and that means he needs to F3 with some combo of C/K/S/S to have the best shot of winning. The promos of Corinne and Randy talking to Matty is classic mis-direction. Randy's threats to 'burn down the house' only makes me think that its a Bob/Corinne boot and I'm leaning towards Bob because of the whol 'fake immunity idol' story-line. Bob's being voted out would be the biggest shocker to Corinne who seems to think either her or Randy's fate is sealed as is evidence in her expression as they head for TC.   Top

Matty would feel very confident sitting against "King" Randy and the "horrendous" Corinne, especially if they split the 3 onion votes. With Crystal and Kenny, he'd be much less secure. Crystal could get Susie's vote. Charlie and Randy both praised Kenny last week. Besides Sugar, who would vote for Matty, especially if he turns Randy and Corinne down this week? If, in addition, he feels that Susie is ahead of him in the pecking order, (something an auction could reveal with sharing prizes) he'd be smart to jump.   Top

I noted with the promos that Susie and Crystal were seen partaking of the cookies that Randy was offering, and I can't help but be reminded of the challenges where they can opt for a feast and all they can eat, or play for immunity....often in those episodes, the ones that feel they are the safest and partake are very ones that are booted. Seeing Sugar deny a cookie from Randy, while Susie and Crystal took them, reminded me of this....   Top

Sugar doesn't like Randy and Corrine ... Sugar doesn't trust Kenny and Crystal. To me there's a difference between not liking and not trusting. I would tend to think she would want to get rid of Randy and Corrine ... maybe she see's them as evil ... except, if she was F3 with C & R, then she would have a nice dowry for her wedding. But that's still too far off. Of the 2 I believe she dislikes Corrine more ... but that's open to debate (and a change of mind). If she waits too long by voting off Corrine then Randy she won't have the numbers to get rid of Kenny and Crystal. It is important for her to make the right choices at the next 2 TC's. Is she smart enough to pull it off? I could see 3 alliances right now ... CR, CKS and SugarMB ... but that seems too disjointed at this point of the game. But again this crew of castaways have done some pretty stupid things. Another thing ... JP said about Randy, "Randy is crotchety and clever. He's the guy who will come to Tribal Council and try to challenge me, which is a huge mistake, because I'm not playing for a million dollars. But I don't think he's as evil as he wants you to think he is." Is this the TC where Randy challenges JP? I'm really enjoying this season because it is so unpredictable in comparison to previous seasons. It's hard to dispute the comments that Corrine may be F3, and that Randy pulls it off this week. The obvious choice of Randy getting punted is a misdirection aimed at the masses who simply watch Survivor for entertainment, and don't even speculate who might 'be next'. Those masses would be as happy to see Randy go, as they wanted to see Jerri go much earlier in S2. And that's what makes it seem like such a misdirection to me.   Top
