{So far, Good Vs. Evil has mostly been Me Vs. Boredom. (If you're curious, Boredom is winning.}{You didn't like seeing Ace go out?} {Too early. And I mean that: if MB had any control over this group (and they're clearly too stupid to read the hints), he would have saved the Ace Gets His Up The Acehole storyline for sometime around F6 at the earliest. When you have that kind of arrogance on the team, you want it to go out when it'll produce maximum interest/ratings. I could have lived with Ace as the winning villain, just because it would be kind of refreshing to have one. But this was just your plain & simple backstab, followed by your pure & unstoppable denial over not seeing it coming.} {{The show isn't that rigged. It's not like BB: these people have some independent thought.} {So that officially means Suzie is People, because her thoughts are completely independent of her brain.} {Um... are we sure we've got a merge? I'm not liking the lack of buffs in the promos.} {I'm not liking Randy declaring himself to be King Of All He Surveys in the promos, especially given that his perceptions range out to the end of his nose and stop there.} {We've got to have a merge. Jeff said they were falling for a new trick: we've seen that one.} {Let me guess -- as soon as they get together, they're allowed to banish one person to Exile Grassland, and she can only return after she changes her name to Splenda.} {We really are still waiting on the theme this year, aren't we? Corinne finally started paying into her bitch declaration and Randy couldn't be any more full of himself without clearing out organs to make room, but tell me where the 'good' side is. Marcus is too arrogant, Charlie's the little toady looking for a brain to bring his master, Crystal's attitude problem is the sum total of her personality, and we can't classify Sugar with the angels after the planting of the brimstone knife.} {I don't know if anyone's asked this yet, but -- if this is Good Vs. Evil, what's the normal storyline?} {I thought that was one of the four basic storylines.} {No -- I mean that usually Good starts off weak, maybe starts to build a little hope -- then, somewhere in the middle of the story, gets absolutely trashed and pushed into a position where they can't possibly recover from. The rest of the tale is then about the miraculous comeback against impossible odds. Right?} {I'll give you that as a common thread. And?} {So right now, Fang is our minority tribe. They're the ones in the trashed & hopeless position: nothing to work with because Sugar can't make the idol function to save her game life, no numbers, not enough strength across the categories for any one member to make an immunity run -- basically looking at a Pagonging out the door. Does that place them on the Good side, as the ones in that desperate situation? And are we looking at an eventual comeback against all odds?} {From who?} {Right now, I'd guess Ken. He's so physically weak that no one's going to vote him off early: no threat to win the more intense challenges, and puzzles have been rare. Leave him alone for long enough, and maybe he can pull a Chris and split the diamond.} {I don't know. It's an MB story. I'm pretty sure he's comfortable with the idea of Evil winning. He gets a higher commission on Evil.} {We happen to need -- a hero.} {No kidding. And we happened to get -- jerks.}

That leaves Bob/Corrine/Randy/Charlie on the other side with dumb Sugar the swing vote. Could it be?

Oh wait, I already did. b1 was so right, Crystal is evil. You know, when I saw the swap and it looked so bad for Marcus, I think I wanted desperately for nuFang to go to TC and didn't want to consider anything else. I really really enjoyed seeing Marcus play ... the others are all a waste of space to me. They are all evil now except Boring Bob and Charlie ... and I suppose Sugar and Matty.
I just don't see the big theme. But no wonder, it is Jeff hype after all.

Or after throwing the idol out to sea, would he be Dopey?Susie made the only move she could. With NuKota, she knew she was in 6th place. Now, she's moved herself up at least one spot. If NuNuKota goes back to TC, Bob's the obvious target, which would take the NuKota6 down to 4. So she's moved herself up a spot, with an argument she can make to Crystal and Ken to take her to final 3. There's no way she would make it that far with her other alliance.

I cannot stand Susie either. I am rooting for Charlie too, in part because he is the token person of my demographic in this cast. I like him (as more than just eye candy) and I was frustrated on his behalf over the whole unrequited Marcus crush (been there, done that; no matter how rational you know you should be acting, there's no way to control attraction). I also hate these stupid swaps. Once per season keeps it interesting because it does demonstrate a certain skill set in adapting, but multiple swaps svck. Pagonging is boring, but I'd rather see people play the game by making inroads to alliances than having a random swap hand them an opportunity. There is no glory in being handed the numbers by buff draw. None. Merging and making your way into alliances, cracking alliances, that's what I call game play. I completely agree. Thanks for summing up my thoughts so well.

I have often wondered how a season would work if they had to all live together. Then at every challenge they draw buffs before the challenge. They would be adjusting all the time. No tribe would become too strong or too weak. They would always be kept even. A person would have to be a true player to make it through. None could be saved by having the right alliance.
