Outfrontgirl 6830 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Playboy Centerfold" 10-30-08, 04:27 PM (EST) "S17 Ep9: "The Brains Behind Everything" Air date Nov 13" I don't at all want to pre-empt suzzee's weekly topic, but the title for Ep 9 is up at TV Guide: http://www.tvguide.com/detail/tv-show.aspx?tvobjectid=294795&more=ucepisodelist&episodeid=8937723 as I found out by visiting Survivor Phoenix (thanks VG!) So I thought we should discuss it. I think Ep 8 will be the merge. This sounds like someone in the minority, for example Ace (or Kenny, or even Matty) sizing up the majority alliance, presumably talking about Marcus. Alternately, Ace might be claiming to be the Brains Behind Everything in sheer defiance of the reality that he's got very little in the way of an alliance for which to pose as the Big Brain. But still ... poseurs scoff at reality; reality is what one makes it, no?   Top

Perhaps this is Randy-centric, if he's still feeling like king of the World in two weeks. I still think this should be a merged tribe episode, perhaps the merge, or the merge happens in the latter part of Ep 8. Because "everything" would seem to me to refer to a one tribe scenario, a tribe that is sorting out its factions and its head honchos. The word "behind" evokes for me someone who is trying to step back from the limelight and pull the strings - puppetmaster.   Top

There is that "behind the scenes" delusion, so Kenny and Randy may both fit. And so may Corinne, Marcus, and Charlie. They all think they're in the driver's seat. Matty seems to be the only strong player who knows he's got everything against him.   Top
