PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."
I think as you said, the question of who Smokey CAN'T kill and that can't kill him is more important. Is it people who are "Candidates?"
The more I watched Season 1 last weekend, the more this whole thing as an ancient form of backgammon of sorts makes sense. And since Locke talking about backgammon was on the "scenes from last week" after that episode where he tells Walt about backgammon ("one of the oldest games know to man, one dark one light..".)it was obviously extremely important, I did a little wikipedia reading: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabula (the Zeno stuff is interesting) and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senet. I'm sure this was discussed long ago, and is still being discussed in LOST circles, but it's fun to read about the ancient games and leaders, and fill in names with some of our LOSTies.
