No one can get a fire going, they're afraid of the water, and the only liquid they trust is coconut milk. They just don't have the strength to open very many, although they did somehow pick up canteens to pour the milk into. People are swaying, collapsing, and napping whenever the urge strikes, which is often. Dehydration is in progress. No one's tried to use Yau's glasses to start the fire, but maybe it's the wrong prescription type. Meanwhile, Moto is in such good shape that they have the strength to laugh at Lisi's dumb jokes. Boo even has the energy to injury himself. Four times. Eye into a stake, then an axe swing through the fleshy part of his finger and a little into his leg (no Medical summoning), and finally the hammock collapses while he's resting in it. Dreamz notes that the vote may not be necessary for Moto: just wait for Boo to injure himself out of the game. Has anyone thrown in the nickname 'Boo-Boo' yet?   Top

Sylvia comes back to Ravu and learns they were just waiting on her before doing -- well, anything, or at least that's the excuse of the moment. She does try to get things organized (and Yau's glasses aren't suitable after all), but they then resent her trying to get things organized, especially after she didn't steal the flint from ExI. Still no fire and no real food, even with the island exploration team locating baby (and inedible) mangos -- but then Erica finds pineapples near camp, in the opposite direction of prior explorations. It's food, it's moisture, and it'll keep them alive until the challenge. At Moto, Dreamz confessionals about how this is easier than being homeless, and he has more food here than he's had before at times in his life. He's here to try and get money to support his family. Good for Dreamz. Now let people sleep, willya? Moto, with time on their hands, is starting to weave grass baskets. For some reason, the buffs this season have the word 'Buff' on them. Apparently no one would have figured this out on their own.   Top

Show up at a combined Reward/Immunity: fishing gear, safe from the vote, and a flint for Ravu if they take it. Row the boat out along the course, collect boxes with flagpole puzzle pieces on the way back, hooking them into a trailing rope. Haul the pieces in, put the pole together, hoist the flag. Ravu gets the early lead due to Michelle's decent reflexes and ability to consistently unwind the rope spool without a tangle, but they never get more than one station ahead. The flagpole itself starts giving them trouble, in part because Erica insists she knows exactly how it should go together, they listen to her, and guess what? That's not it. Moto hoists the flag at Fiji DAWa, and the rich get richer. Earl to ExI, with another clue awaiting him. (Hopefully he remembers to try and steal the flint.) Ravu to Council. Oh, what fun they're having. And since it rained during the challenge, their materials at camp are wet, and fire is that much more unlikely to come. Whee!   Top

Maybe not: people are starting to lean towards Erica because they think she lost her head at the challenge. Anthony's starting to get dizzy: people leaning this way, hedging that way -- he thinks they may be looking at a four-four split vote, which is kind of hard with nine people. Nothing is with this tribe right now: clouds block the sun just when the glasses are starting to look like they're working, and they have to bail out the boat before they leave. Council. Leading questions. No, Sylvia doesn't really feel like part of the tribe. Yes, Erica was loud. Jeff explains the idol: it's good through Final Five this season, which makes it sound like we've got another F3, jury of nine situation. Time to vote. Come, Mister Tally-Man, tally my pineapple finder... Jeff puts out the first call for the idol, then reads the votes. Erica goes out with an apparent 7-2, Sylvia getting the lower tally. Jeff tells them they need to find a way to win, doesn't let them keep the torches, and sends them out. Really, this could be Ulong #2. How long until the first medical emergency? Unless someone risks the water...   Top
