Not a lot of organization early. They're spreading out in small bunches, checking for food, looking for potential shelters -- one nice cave appears -- and wondering where Jeff is and why they're all on one beach. Jeff eventually airdrops a box that containers instructions for building a shelter, a map to the build site, and -- wimp-out alert -- a flint. One of the brighter ones, whose name will escape me until I decide to care, realizes that this must be leading up to someone getting screwed later. Quite possibly him. Right now, it's another case of 'Why don't we get intros any more?' Too many people, too little camera time. It's a bit of a mess trying to get anyone sorted. Meanwhile, in an alternate universe, Desmond looks at the blueprints and cries for two hours.

Supplies at the top of the hill, and it is the Richest Haul Ever for a start, which is worrying some people. Construction site is at the front of the cave. It's a long trip between the two, which adds to the construction time. So does taking time out for alliance-building: Erica is going with the 'get with everyone' tactic right now. Slyvia, who's an architec, supervises. Naturally, people start to resent this. Yau-Man starts getting some early tools that aren't in the stash together -- cups and funnels. Dreamz has decided to play the 'I was homeless as a child: I will be here for a while' story arc. Also the 'loud when people are trying to sleep' card, which leads to an early night vision conflict with Rocky, who would just like to A. drop off and B. have people remember his actual name. Shelter, outhouse, and kitchen up. Fastest first two days ever and we still haven't met half of them.

Finally, it is time for a challenge. They all march to Challenge beach. Jiffy starts asking them questions. Finally, he asks who the Leader is. They all agree that it is Sylvia who has led the them in the construction of the shelter, outhouse and kitchen, etc. Jiffy then asks her to step out of the group as the leader. She will be the Tribe Picker. She divides the tribes into two pretty evenly I might add.Alex, Boo, Cassandra, Dre, Edgardo, Gary, Liliana, Lisi and Staci on Moto, the Green buff tribe. Anthony, Earl, Erica, James, Jessica, Michele, Mookie, Rita and Yau-man on the Orange Tribe. Jiffy then tells Sylvia she is without a Tribe, but will remain in the game. She will go to Exile Island and will avoid Tribal Council. But ... there is bad news and good news. First, the bad news ... Exile Island is crawling with deadly sea snakes. However, while she is there, she will be given a clue as to the whereabouts of Hidden Immunity Idol. After Tribal Council is over and someone has been voted out of the losing tribe, Sylvia will return and become a member of the losing tribe.

ETA: Moto (green - a really nice apple green, really) wins immunity & the camp.

Sylvia, as the agreed-upon leader, is asked to split the tribes. This is a very fair division IMO: no real powerhouse, no true underdog, because she doesn't know which one she'll be on. Only nine to a team, so Sylvia goes to ExI and will get a clue to the hidden idol. She'll eventually join whichever tribe loses.
Challenge; chariot race: seven drag, two untie puzzle pieces, solve puzzle, get numbers, turn wheel, get knife, cut rope to drop flag. Winners get Immunity and a sick pile of Rewards, including -- wait for it -- a couch. Greens pull ahead early on knots, blow through puzzle, and win. They get the good camp. Orange tribe? New beach, machete, cooking pot. That's it. And TC tonight with Jeff. Whee... By the way: we have a Michelle, Tony, Gary, and Alex. What the hell?

(Of course that would have worked out weirdly for her if she had to go back to the male tribe.) ETA: it wouldn't have panned out anyway because the last male would have had to be assigned to the female tribe. I think she was smart to place all the women first and then move on to the men.

Ravu checks out their new beach. Not horrible: they've got enough materials to work with if they start gathering. Also, there's lots of bats and they're cute. Erica, Jessic, and Rocky form a trio alliance. Jessica feels safe. Everyone else immediately targets Jessica because she's flying under the radar. On Day Three? Rocky wants to be told if he's being targeted. Jessica tells him she will. This is called 'irony'. Oh, and she messed up on the third puzzle. But -- on Day Three? Erica learns of the plan, tells Rocky. They decide not to vote for Jessica. Not save her, mind you. Just not vote. Council. Are you jealous of the other tribe? Yau, are you worried about being old? Any blindsiding here tonight? Go vote. A lot of vote scatter at the start, but then there turns out to be four for -- take a guess. Right, Jessica. Bye-bye! Since they don't have fire, they can leave the torches here. Now, who are these people again?
