PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

Don't you think that for all of these ladies, some sort of career evaluation and job training should be started. I realize that they have other issues, but it seems like this should all be explored simultaneously. Going back to Season 1, they did that with most of the women (Andy, Lori, Nyanza, Hannah, Brenda, Karen, Rain, Amy, etc.) Josie was there for so long and right at the end, they decided to make her an animal trainer. Fun, but not totally practical. How can Jill, Lisa and Christina totally change their lives if they don't have a practical way of supporting themselves?

I fully agree with you re: career counseling and job training. Not only is it necessary (in these bad economic times), it will help psychologically and empower the housemates. My wish list for SO is to feature a housemate who is dealing with layoff/unemployment (and preferably someone who is 40+ like me). You hit the nail on the head!

They do seem to be getting off to a slow start. Lisa, at the very least, should jump right in, since it's a foregone conclusion that she will need to support herself.
