LAST EDITED ON 03-20-03 AT 08:40 PM (EST)Howdy folks! Well, last weeks results were a disaster for most, but made palatable by SurvivorScott’s hilarious results thread. Whew, am I glad we have better numbers this week, because I am not even going to try to rival that masterpiece! I do, however, have a few things I need to get off my chest before we get to those results:
I, like most, have limited time on my hands. Between my reality show viewing schedule and real life getting in the way of that, I honestly resent having to sit through three hours of drivel to hear a half hour of song and a five second “loser” announcement.
And didn’t we meet these people last week? Given the fact that most of them will slink back into the fabric of normal society before you can say the word “hack,” do we really a weekly update on how they are adjusting to getting in and out of limos? But the Old Navy propaganda was perfectly appropriate. At least that’s what the sales clerk told me as I was dreaming of superstardom in the tank aisle today.
Oh, and Kelly, you sound great and love what you’ve done with your hair. But you were waaay prettier without the charcoal streetwalker makeover. Trust me on this one.
When we left you last week, lancerdude (2) and Bebo (3) were leading with a literal pack behind them at 5. Those of us further down the line sadly had Vanessa peg as having “it.” Well, Paula said so anyway. Clearly, we were wrong (and possibly anti-American, I have to check the new regs), because goodness knows American has never been accused of bad taste. We saps filled out the ranks nicely from 6-12 week one points.
And onto the scores! Drumroll ………
Packman, with an ignominious and record-setting week one score of 12, has redeemed himself by correctly choosing Charles to go this week. Joining him with a perfect week are Ahtumbreez, EMJ92 Johnthemod and new player Carencey. Well done!
Asrai and Femme have save their family from considerable humiliation by bouncing back this week. Asrai, True, Bebo, lancerdude, Manageer, Katem, newcomer ToddE and your idolmaster Survivorscott garnered one point each, while Femme, buckeyegirl, ElroyJetson, Evanakm and new player Kokoro pick up a mere 2 points.
Here’s where it gets ugly. Keae and Spidey, who had a whopping nine points last week pick up 4 more. Scarberian (5), Showmethewinner and MagicStar (6 each) stay their decidedly shaky course smack in the middle. And alas, Cyclehausen’s taunting of Asrai last week has come back to bite him in the form of a week-high 8 points.
Our new players, Carencey, ToddE and Kokoro (who did quite well for themselves!) are assessed a 5 point penalty for missing week one.
Ah, and then there were the changes. Obviously our decision to lower the change fee had players clamoring to correct their warped perspective of what they thought America liked. So, 3 additional points each to Cyclehausen, ElroyJetson, buckeyegirl, Asrai, Showmethewinner, Femme, True, Bebo and Spidey.
After 2 weeks (why does it feel like 7? 
), the standings are as follows. Please note that I generally like spirits with my war and given the 24/7 coverage, I do not guarantee the accuracy of my numbers. If any of you think I have short-changed you, please let me know so I can tell you to screw off.
