"RE: Recrap" If that's the real title of next week's episode, it's definitely a recrap. Recraps are usually done during one of the two weeks they get bumped to Wednesday by the Big Dance, and also are usually done around merger time. With this timing for a recrap, I suspect the references in other threads to a possible early merge may prove prophetic.   Top

"RE: Recrap" CBS needed Survivor to finish in May sweeps, but it didn't have enough new episodes to make it there, because of the 2/2 premiere date and only having 16 contestants and 39 days. Sensibly, CBS decided to pre-empt new episodes during March madness when they would have to bump the show to Wednesday in any case. They are running a recrap on the first Wednesday as the recrap is one way to not lose all momentum to the season when they go 3 weeks between new episodes. TDT thinks they will merge this week according to a tip, apparently at or after TC? But CBS didn't have a choice as to the recrap timing; that was dictated purely by March madness.   Top
