"First Segment" La Mina tribe day 9, the guys are starting a fire, Sally ct's that she's worried she may be next. Dan takes Ruth Marie aside and asks her to be part of an alliance to F5 with Terry, Nick and Austin. Dan thinks Sally will drop them at the merge but RM will be loyal. The guys discuss a firm 4 alliance with RM. Casaya, day 9. Aras. Shane and Bruce collecting snails. The see Courtney doing yoga and not doing anything productive. Danielle is sleeping. Bruce ct's the fire is dying, nothing done. Aras calls a team meeting that none of the others are helping with work around the camp. Aras ct's that Courtney working his last nerve. Cirie pleased the alliance fighting among itself and she's staying out of the drama.   Top

Shane, Aras, and Bruce went snail hunting. The rest were sleeping and the fire went out. The reward challenge is for a full-on Survivor style bathroom with toilet and Charmin product placement. Shower and fresh water is included. Challenge itself is the water puzzle.   Top

One tribe member at a time will swim out, unclip the piece and bring back to frame. Once piece is in frame, next person goes out. Once all 6 pieces are collected can start assembling pieces. First tribe to complete wins reward -- survivor bathroom: towels, loofah, Charmin, sink, toilet seat, bush shower, 5 gallons of fresh water. Losers - one person will be sent to EI until next immunity challenge.s First, Sally and Bobby. Sally first, gets her piece in ring first. Dan dives in, Bobby gets piece in ring, Bruce dives in. Dan has 2nd piece for la Mina. RM dives in, Bruce gets in 2nd piece, Danielle dives in. RM finishes, Nick dives in, Shane dives in, they are neck and neck. Nick gets piece, Austin dives in, Shane finishes and Courtney dives. Austin tangled up. Austin lost time, Terry dives in, Aras in. Terry ahead. La Mina has all their pieces in the ring, Casaya close behind. Time to start solving the puzzle. Casaya wins reward. Casaya decides to send Terry to EI.   Top

"Post-RC Camp life" La Mina returns to camp, Dan tells tribe to make Terry proud when he returns. Discussion whether to gather firewood, eat or take a nap. Austin wants to sleep. Austink tells us with Terry missing, there isn't one person to keep things working. Casaya returns to camp and sees their outhouse and shower. The guys decide to use the toilet to store wood to keep it dry. Bobby decides to 'christen' the 'Casa de Charmin' before they do so. Shane tells us Terry is in 'hell'. Menawhile, Terry is exploring the island and collects his clue. The clue tells him it is hidden beneath a rock, above the tide line, buried underground. Ah, I get it, the further along you arrive on EI, the more extensive your clues. Terry, no fool, notices the "why" in the clue, finds a "Y" shaped tree, and starts digging under rocks near that tree. Finds a box and a bottle with a clue. Bottle contains a shrunken head --- WHICH IS OUR HIDDEN IMMUNITY IDOL!!!   Top

"Why" 2. Above the tide line 3. (actual text missing last week) Under the ground. 4. Under a rock. He found it under a Y shaped tree, in the ground under one of the rocks surrounding the tree. The actual immunity necklace/idol is a shrunken head!   Top

I'm a little surprised that we were shown the find -- it removes a bit of suspense from TC, and there's no more guessing games for who has it. But it does add a certain amount of sadism to the game -- we're just waiting to see when they try for Terry now. I wonder what'll happen to the next exile when clue time comes around? 'Fast Forward taken: return to Detour'?   Top

The fire pit went out and the guys decided to move the fire pit closer to the shelter. Aras tells us Cirie is working her b*tt off but other people, not so much. Shane asks Danielle why she has such an aversion to working. She says Bobby doesn't work much. Danielle thinks Shane has a bad attitude. Aras says he agrees with Shane. Shane and Danielle start arguing. Cirie just stands there and watches. Bobby is sleeping in the shelter. Shane tries to draw Cirie into the argument, should have walked away but didn't. Cirie just giggles over how the initial alliance is falling apart. La Mina, day 11. Austin and Nick are too weak to work, they haven't had anything to eat. Nick is trying to catch fish but isn't successful. The fish are literally jumping out of the water but they can't catch anything. They are 11 days without food. (They can't find any fruits anywhere?) Plus, apparently no one but Terry can keep the fire going. Yikes, they are in trouble!   Top

Jiffy points out that only Bruce and Terry are left who may have found the II. Challenge: one person sits on chair attached to a pulley. Another person situated above them in crows nest where empty water drum hangs. Other 4 tribe members tied together in pairs, race across balance beam carrying buckets, reach water, fill buckets, race back, empty water into bucket, person in crows nest pulls up and empties into drum. As drum fills will lower, person in chair will raise until can release tribe flag. If you fall off balance beam at any point lose all water and must start from the beginning. Bobby sitting out for Casaya. So far so good for all. Sally and Austin first off beam. Shane/Courtney in the lead. Sorry, it's really hard to tell who's ahead, guys. Dan falls off, he and Terry must go back to the start. Very close. It starts to rain, they are still moving. Sally and Austin are flying over the beams. Casaya gets their water in the pail first, Danielle reaches flag first, Casaya wins immunity.   Top

RM tells us it is comforting to have Terry back to tell them what to do. They ask about him looking for idol, he tells them he looked for about 2 hours, he plans to hide it from them. Austin tells us they will be voting out Sally. Sally tells the boys she proved herself and hopes to be around tomorrow. She tells us Terry calls the shots on the tribe. Austin tells Terry they don't want to go into the merge at 4, Terry will be a target, they need a 5th person and Sally has performed well in competitions, RM should go, Terry says Sally stays. Apparently his word is law. Austin breaks the news to Dan, who gave his word to RM, and doesn't look happy about change. He tries to convince Austin that Sally will jump ship and RM will remain loyal. RM and Sally are gathering snails while the menfolk plot and strategize. Both women recognize one of them is going home tonight.   Top

Did anyone ask about II? He didn't give any indication he found it. What did you miss about Terry when gone? He's a natural leader, nice to have him back. Individual performance in challenge -- Sally, you dominated. Austin, any mistakes? He would have poured faster. RM, what's holding you back? Small in stature and older than other women. Sally, surprised Misty voted off? Oh yea. Know what's happening tonight? Nope. RM, if you go what will the tribe miss? She's steady and loyal, they will miss it along the road. Time to vote. Austin votes. Terry votes. Sally votes for RM. Dan votes. RM votes for Sally. Nick votes. Vote count: Ruthie, Sally, Ruth, Sally, Ruthie, Ruth. RM is fourth person voted off Exile Island.   Top

After Sally's first confession when she said if we lose I'm gone, I think I realized it was RM, then Dan made a F5 pact with her...what is this guy the poster boy for alliances revealed don't succeed...I think I'm on board with BR's hypothesis that Dan does not make the merge (at Sally's doing) Then when Austin said after IC that they lost and SALLY is going at TC I knew RM was history...classic misdirection FP...you just had it backwards...but you completely rock for all time with your Misty pick last week!!   Top

ETA: Did some prize possession ever get contaminated at Casaya as the misdirection clues eluded to???? What is up with CBS this season....that's 2 weeks in a row that one of the website clues is an absolute joke and doesn't even apply or get shown...   Top

So, does this mean the end of the Casaya challenge run? Didn't the spoilers tell us one tribe got sick after finally getting a feast? >And Casaya's spark is snuffed out. Early prediction (which may change once we have the web preview): La Mina sweeps the challenges, and Bob gets voted out. Fits with Jiffy's comment at the end of TC about La Mina being a unified tribe and how that could lead them to change their luck. Spoilers have also indicated that Bob would be the next Casaya voted out, but this episode finally showed us why. Bob is clearly an outsider on the tribe - shown sleeping while tribe members are talking about how important it is to work, and disregards the tribe's decision for the outhouse and decides to christen it against their wishes. We're being given hope that the alliance of four will be broken up and that Cirie will not be the next boot. One of those will prove to be true when Cirie is not the next Casaya boot. We'll continue to be fed Courtney as the misdirection, but the alliance will stick together since they can all agree that they don't need Bob. After all, they won a key IC when he sat out, so they've already shown themselves that they can win without him. The editing screams that he's an outsider who can go without causing conflict within the tribe.   Top
