BadAs 372 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Cooking Show Host" 08-10-00, 11:05 PM (EST) "Colleen on Letterman..sorry no spoilers but..." Dave asked her a few times, she didn't say anything. DAve then says he knows who WON, and will tell everyone but he didn't. He did say that if "that Naked Guy" (richard) wins there will be mayheim in the streets, cars over turned, looted.. That was a classic Dave bit..   Top

I think we have a lot of evidence that Rich doesn't win, and this just adds onto it. Dave _probably_ wouldn't make a joke like that if rich indeed does win.   Top

There is NO way that CBS would portray someone so evil, and then have him win! (Remeber, a lot of how we perceive a person has to do with the way he or she is edited. Rich has clearly been edited as the villain.) If CBS wants viewers to tune in to Survivor II, they will try to make the ultimate outcome appealing to viewers. Since the viewers have grown to DESPISE Rich so much, CBS knows great pleasure will be had when the good guy (old veteran Rudy) beats out the devil (Rich). I'm sure that if RICH HAD won, CBS wouldv'e found the way to make him more appealing (GAD, can you imagine that?) Oh, and BTW, I think Letterman would have said that joke no matter what. He just doesn't give a #####, and that's why we love 'im!   Top

I don't know about anyone else, but I thought CBS kind of made Richard appear to be a little nicer on the last show. He wasn't entirely stuck up about getting to eat breakfast and he didn't really insult too many people. He even managed to compliment his friends back home. The scene between rudy and richard was also a good way to change his image. It showed that richard is friends with the other contestants and can have fun on the island with them. To me, these changed the way Richard looked in my eyes.   Top

I do believe that richard does not win. That article posted on survivorsucks from the national geographic seems real, although you never really know. I do have to say that I really would be happy if Richard dis win. Despite all the negative criticism, I think he has worked hard for it. All the young people were pretty confident that they could win due to their physical strength but this game is really played in the head. I think Richard has done an excellent job. They make edit him to look like a total snake but I think there is much more to him than the shows lets us see. I also think that Sue deserves to win. She is more clever than most think. Yes, she is from Wisconsin but I think she has played the game well. She knows better than to trust Richard. I do think she made a mistake buddying up with Kelly but there really wasn't anyone else. Finally, I have to say that I am glad that Colleen did not win. She really didn't put that much effort into it. I think that Richard, Sue, and to some extent Rudy have wanted to win the most and they should be rewarded for that.   Top

I honestly think that David Letterman knows who wins (does anyone remember him announcing that Greg had been voted off Survivor the same night that that episode of Survivor aired? His show is taped earlier in the evening!) I think he wants to see a slip in the cast members of Survivor because it would really boost his ego that he was the one to break through! Also, he cracks on the show constantly, so wouldn't him knowing and one of the cast members slipping fit? I think he has a plan to take CBS down!   Top
