"Theme Weeks! WTF!!!! Simon comments!!!"
Okay, i'm sad to say this, but Theme weeks are a good idea, only if you pick good themes!

Here's my direct feeling. I WAS Sooo Pissed last week. They Chose A Country Western week! And then they get pissed that none of the Contestants are remotely good.

HELLO!!!! It's the material!!!!!

Seriously, Watching Latoya sing Garth Brooks, really messed me up! Also, then Simon has the nerve to say, "I don't understand this music!!!" Well why the hell do you have a country week! And No, why do you compliment some and not others. If you don't understand the music, you shouldn't have liked anyone! And you shouldn't have had a countryu and Western themed show.

The major problem i had was this. There isn't a a lot of Country music that just Wows or has energy or explodes through the roof. And like i said, most of these singers, aint country singers! And the other problem i have is John Stevens has been KEPT around for some stupid Sinatra week, when he has dropped the ball WEEK after WEEK! AFTER WEEK! Also, when Amy performs a song well, she's labeled as a country singer. That's REALLY gonna help her career. Yep. Great stuff AI. Brilliant.

Also, I hate watching the show, seeing a positive comment, or what _SEEMS_ a positive comment, then next week, hearing simon or someone else say, "That wasn't a positive comment! I was really saying this. No, No, i don't get this crap at all!"

This season, the show has been engineered to get the results. Latoya, Fantasia and Jennifer are the three they really want. George and JPL have a shot, but i think it's slim.

my 2 cents.

I thought most of them stunk with the country theme. But here's the kicker: Simon told LaToya she was great, but told Amy (who, IMHO, was great also) that he just doesn't "get" country music. Would it have killed him to say that he thought she was good last week? I don't "get" country music either but I thought Amy nailed it the best out of all 11 contestants.

Just my .02

I actually like "new country" music but was totally disappointed with the song selections. Many of the songs were traditional or ballads. I think there are more "pop" songs that are played on country radio today that would have been better choices.
