Here's my very looooong insight....basically all I could get from their profiles. Go ahead and read it - it'll at least help you get better acquainted with the houseguests, if anything ^-^Amy
Generally, Amy sounds like a total priss. She's daddy's spoiled little girl and sounds like she's the centre of attention where she's from. She thinks quite highly of herself and from the discriptions sounds like the social queen. She also sounds like the kind that will never shut up. While she could easily go first, I think at first she'll annoy the women while the men fall all over her....plus for the more strategic players she's not a real threat so I guess she'll probably slide for the first couple of weeks. However, watch out for that "spoiled little girl" trait - if it does come out, I'm guessing it'll be "full fledged b*tch" time rather than "pouty and teary" time, due to her extroverted personality.
What strengths do you bring to BIG BROTHER?
Too many to list! I think humor and beauty would be the top two.
"I tend to act like a five-year-old child when I don't get my way. I'm really spoiled."
What type of news from the outside world will you miss the most?
Gossip!
What are your hobbies?
Putting on makeup, socializing, reading, singing, adoring Buckie
What three adjectives best describe you?
Selfish, pretty, vivacious
Who is your personal hero?
My Dad
What is your motto?
I never loved another person the way I loved myself. (Mae West)
Chiara
The "sporty" girl next door. Sounds nice, but also somewhat naive - she doesn't seem to want to play for the win (although IIRC, it's usually the ones who say "Yeah kill kill kill" pre-show that end up being the pathetically nice ones).
"I would consider myself pretty athletic, although the sports I tend to participate in and watch have a lot of mental strength in them."
"I have a tough time cheating or lying my way through things. If the game gets nasty, I might not be up for the challenge. I play fair, which usually works in my favor....I really want to play fair. I don't want to form nor join an alliance. I really want to make sure I don't pick favorites or quickly trust anyone. I don't think anyone in that house is my friend, so I will keep my head about me, play to win, but be honest."
Danielle
While the first answer sounds like a typical "I just want to have fun" answer, the rest spells it out differently. The last quote in her section here sounds like she plans to play this game a lot like Vecepia (Winner of Survivor 4, for the great unwashed). However, a couple of her opening statements clearly show she wants to be in control, which really is never a good thing on these kind of shows. You know the way it goes - jump into the leadership position --> everyone starts to hate you for being "bossy" --> Oh look, you're on your way home. Being extroverted, I really doubt she'll be able to keep her personality at bay (especially since at least part of her ~does~ "just want to have fun"). Which is actually a good thing - I don't think I could've handled two Vecepia wins in the same television season.
Note that she thinks highly of herself physically (Lindsey, anyone?) and is very into sports, which could very easily lead to easy bonding with a few of the men (the only other woman with sports-watching as an interest that I noticed is Tonya and she's only into bball).
Why did you want to be on BIG BROTHER?
I had my first child at 16. I was married and pregnant with my second child by 20. Since then, my youth and my life have been dedicated to my family. I have no Danielle time. This is my opportunity to be a teenager again.
What strengths do you bring to BIG BROTHER?
I am always thinking ahead. I'm a natural leader.
What weaknesses do you bring to BIG BROTHER?
I'm a leader, not a follower. I am such an extrovert, people naturally like me as a person. I don't want to be too liked.
Do you tend to perform better in physical or mental competitions?
Most women would state mental. They expect men to dominate in the physical competition. Me? I'm all physical. All the men would want me on their team. Don't let my good looks fool you. I can get down and dirty with the men.
"Innocent as a dove and sly as a snake. People will underestimate me. I will be fake as my implants. As soon as I step foot in the house, the game is on! Everyone there is my enemy. I trust no one but God."
Eric
Honestly, Eric gives ~nothing~ away in his profile - I only put the "weakness" there because it sounds odd (so you're only weird if you sleep regularly? Do you not sleep usually? WTF does that mean?)
His "strategy", and I use the term lightly because it's very general and what most people plan to do, completely depends on his "schmoozing" ability. If he's a real jack-ass all the time (or worse - isn't remotely funny), I don't see anyone telling him anything personal. I mean sure, everyone loves the clown, but are you going to reveal your innermost strategies to him? Actually stupid question....two words LOVE. CRUISE. (but it really depends on how many bimbos we really have on BB3 ;)
I wonder if he'll remain shady and impossible to pin on the show?
What weaknesses do you bring to BIG BROTHER?
I sometimes talk too much, revealing things I might not want to reveal. I also act very strange while sleeping on a regular basis (i.e. walking and talking).
How do you plan to win BIG BROTHER? Please be specific.
Becoming friends with everyone, making them feel good about themselves when I'm around. I have to pick everyone's minds, finding out their concerns and weaknesses and use this info to my advantage
Gerry
Gerry does sound somewhat like Kent, however he's missing the stick that Kent has up his butt. He has a strategy set out and, unlike Eric above, realizes that he can use humour as "a tool, not a weapon". As a teacher, I feel he should be able to get people to trust him and since he's the oldest by far, I do think he could very well become the father figure.
However, there a couple of dangers for him. The most obvious is that, being the oldest (by 15 years) and really the only one who's not attractive to some extent (okay someone may find him attractive - if you do sorry ;), he could be singled out as an "easy first eviction" before the players have really gotten to know eachother. It ~will~ be much harder for him to relate to them and them to him and it's a shame that BB can only include one older person who could very well be isolated from the rest of the group because of the large generation gap. It's sad, but the whole "agism" thing happens frequently on this type of show.
The second danger is one that he recognizes, but may not be able to control. If he indeed is "overbearing", combined with his opinionated extrovert personality type, this could also give the others a good reason to get rid of him early (or even first - and now they actually have a good reason).
Why did you want to be on BIG BROTHER?
"I'm very personable, used to dealing with people and their different issues. Part of my job teaching is often getting students (and adults) to do things they don't want to. I'm very good at getting people to see things my way without them realizing it. I use humor as a tool to put people at ease--a useful tool, not a weapon."
"Maybe I'm too trusting of people's motives. I also do not suffer fools lightly, I like to speak my mind and I am opinionated. I'll need to watch being overbearing."
"I plan to learn all I can about my fellow HouseGuests, both their strengths and weaknesses, and use my personable nature to disarm them. I intend to be, or to remind them of, the father and teacher they always wanted to have. I want them to feel safe with me and to be the last one they'd want to be rid of."
Jason
People read these segments of his profile. Okay, now who does this remind you of? It's us! He sounds like the average nice guy (creepy how much my app would sound the same) - he's a 'net freak and a reality tv freak (he's actually the only player to list Survivor as a favourite - can you believe these people?!) I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he's visited this site before. He's also an actual ~fan~ of the show and not someone looking for a film career, can you believe it?
He even has the general BB strategy planned....Sorry for the gushing but it's very cool to see a typical fan like us on one of these shows (although I'll admit, his casting probably had a lot to do with his looks). If he turns out to be A.) An a-hole B.) A Moron, I never said any of this, okay? ;) For now he'll be my 2nd favourite (or tied for first - whatever).
Why did you want to be on BIG BROTHER?
To win the money! Plus, I'm a huge BIG BROTHER fan and wanted to be on the show.
What strengths do you bring to BIG BROTHER?
My easygoing personality and the ability to adjust quickly to new situations and new people.
What weaknesses do you bring to BIG BROTHER?
I am too nice. I might get attached to someone and not want to vote them out.
What comfort item from home will you miss the most?
Computer and internet--it provides entertainment and contact with friends.
How do you plan to win BIG BROTHER? Please be specific.
Build relationships with all players, align myself with two key people, stay in the game at all times, and adjust to any changes thrown my way.
What is your biggest fear as you begin BIG BROTHER?
That I will be able to keep my integrity as I play the game.
What is your favorite TV show?
BIG BROTHER, SURVIVOR, and Seinfeld
What are your hobbies?
Computer, making videos (shooting, acting, editing), performing with my band, hanging with friends, movies TV, music
Josh
Oh dear Lord. I'm sorry but I can't really comment on this - he doesn't really give out any information except "Hey, I'm Josh and I'm an idiot."
Meet Mike2 - this time he's even less attractive.
What strengths do you bring to BIG BROTHER?
Intelligence, wit, ruthlessness, creativity.
What weaknesses do you bring to BIG BROTHER?
Overbearing, argumentative, stubborn.
What comfort item from home will you miss the most?
My cat--he's very comforting.
What type of news from the outside world will you miss the most?
Sports, baby, sports!
Do you tend to perform better in physical or mental competitions?
Probably mental.
How do you plan to win BIG BROTHER? Please be specific.
I plan on causing a gastrointestinal virus and spreading it to the other members.
What is your biggest fear as you begin BIG BROTHER?
I'm gonna get kicked off first week.
What are your hobbies?
Golf, sex, sports
What three adjectives best describe you?
Hysterical, swarthy, hairy
Who is your personal hero?
My cat
What is your motto?
Don't really work, but get paid for it.
Lisa
My favourite houseguest (partly because she totally reminds me of a friend of mine ;) I admit that she does sound a bit overconfident (that's a bad thing?) and does come across a bit like Nicole from BB2 and Jerri from S2, but she doesn't sound as sneaky. Of all the profiles I've read this one sounds the most "realistic" - she's not trying to pretend she's someone she isn't. That said, I'm not too sure how well she'll do - while this profile is the most descriptive personality-wise, she doesn't really lay down any type of strategy or mindset heading into the game.
"I'm using Big Brother as a chance to get away and to meet new people whom I know nothing about and who know nothing about me. It's a chance for me to play around a bit, to have fun and to be mean if I have to without getting into trouble."
"I am a great team player who can get along with all types of people. You can't dislike me--you may want to try, but you won't--that will keep me in the house."
"I'm not the smartest cookie in the house, but I'm the tastiest! Street smart is a different story than book smart."
"I could care less about what's going on outside the House as far as current events go. But God forbid I miss a new good song. That's gonna kill me."
"Everyone's gonna like me or love to hate me; that alone will keep me in the House. Then I'll just have to select who gets voted off when!"
What three adjectives best describe you?
Fun loving, complex, full of emotion
What is your motto?
Be happy and love myself first.
Lori
Again, this woman thinks very highly of herself. She sounds (and looks - yikes!) the most like Nicole out of all the female castmembers. She seems to be intelligent and has a "no apologies" attitude.
Quote #2 seems to spell an early demise for her - people will not let Nicole get to the end game ~again~.
I'm willing to bet that most of the houseguests will find her intimidating and b*tchy very early on. BTW, I have to ask: Why don't the overbearing ones learn from eachother?! Seriously check out our list - B.B./Debb/Diane/Patricia/Kathy/Nicole. Her personal quote (scroll down - last one from her) may very come true. How embarassing would that be?
"I bring into this game a positive attitude, a strong belief that each challenge, both mental and physical, is simply a test. You see, we can't always expect things to go exactly the way we'd like them to all the time. It's how we conduct ourselves through these challenges."
"I'm very passionate about things I truly believe in. Therefore, my approach to others is sometimes perceived as intimidating. I'm sorry for them!"
How do you plan to win BIG BROTHER? Please be specific.
As I said, my approach can sometimes be strong. I plan to mesh the first week. Let them get to know my softer side first. From there, I'll take each situation as it comes and trust me, I'll handle it!
What three adjectives best describe you?
Zealous, approachable, perceptive
What is your motto?
I'm here for a good time, not a long time.
Marcellas
Okay well the ego is not a good thing. It's never a good thing. I think these people really need to go through reality tv training classes before they're allowed to go on the show.
He says he'll "do anything to win" but that's generally what the nice-as-heck people say before the shows....But maybe this time it's the truth, we'll have to see.
I'm not sure if he'll fit into stereotypes - his profile kind of matches, however and I'm sure CBS will do everything in their power to portray him in a stereotypical light....I don't know. He's probably the only one who is going to have the fear come true (except for those who listed "going out first" if they actually do)
What strengths do you bring to BIG BROTHER?
My ego. My intelligence. My openness to new experiences. My sense of humor. My massive ego.
What weaknesses do you bring to BIG BROTHER?
My massive ego. My need for excitement. My intolerance of ignorance and meanness in others.
"I intend to win by doing the unexpected in every situation. I intend to do whatever it takes to turn bad situations into positive situations in my favor. I want to be kind and truthful, but I will do everything and anything to be last man standing!"
What is your biggest fear as you begin BIG BROTHER?
To come off as a stereotype. I can't help but feel some responsibility to my race, my family and friends to portray "us" in a favorable light.
What three adjectives best describe you?
Stylish, sexy, beautiful
Roddy
No, of course it's not trasy like other shows. It's in a league of it's own.
Surprise! It's another extrovert....this show is going to be plagued by conflict 24/7 - I ~so~ can't wait!
But hey, he actually has a good plan - sure it's another UTR plan, but I really haven't seen anyone else come up with it. As long as he isn't extremely boring, I'd have no problem with him winning the whole thing.
BIG BROTHER isn't trashy like other shows.
What strengths do you bring to BIG BROTHER?
Observant, patient, strong-minded.
What weaknesses do you bring to BIG BROTHER?
Sometimes I'm too strong-minded, which gets me in trouble.
"1) I'm going to keep my word, even if it gets me in trouble; 2) Fly below the radar in the beginning and depend on people underestimating me; 3) People lie. As Guests lie and break their word to me, nail them to it; 4) Risking early exit to stay consistent should turn out to be the right investment in the end.
Tonya
I'm just not sure about Tonya. First I was thinking - "5 kids, 2 divorces, 35 years old. Wow, what a bimbo." But she seems to be ready for the game moreso than a lot of other players. I'm not exactly sure about the "use my sexuality" thing, as that could come across as overbearing and pathetic (and be a very good reason to get her the hell out), but she seems to have a good UTR strategy planned otherwise.
This profile really doesn't give too much away - she could still be a total bitca, but it doesn't sound that way to me. Congratulations, Tonya - you're no longer my least favourite player!
What strengths do you bring to BIG BROTHER?
My wit, humor, sincerity, and on top of all that, I respect others!
What weaknesses do you bring to BIG BROTHER?
Mental challenges. I'm very articulate, but I don't study and learn as much as I used to. Five kids keep you busy enough.
How do you plan to win BIG BROTHER? Please be specific.
I'll probably lie low for a while, not be too strong a player, or too weak, use my sex appeal with the men, and get on the good side of the women. I'm also a wonderful cook.
What three adjectives best describe you?
Outgoing, loving, sexy
What is your motto?
Life is a game; it's meant to be played.
Evictions
I can't really come out with an order but those in immediate danger of early boots are:
Gerry, Lori
Others that could very easily go early depending on how long it takes the group to get sick of their various "acts":
Amy, Tonya, Josh
Those that could either go early or a long way depending on if their b*tchy sides shine brighter than anything else or not:
Danielle (likes to be "in charge"), Lisa
Those that should do very well:
Eric, Roddy
Wait and see how they play but these people should make it to at least midgame and beyond pretty easily:
Jason, Marcellas, Chiari
Was that fun or what? ^-^;;

Now let us never speak of S3 again.
