PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

"Clay Aiken Remembrance" |
Last year, I was a full-fledged Clay fan. I was one of those voters who became completely entranced and awed by his amazing voice, and lovable personality. Through the whole competition, his fans really started to feel like they knew him personally. He became one of your friends- someone you knew everything about. I think, part of the success of Kelly, Ruben, and Clay thus far, is due to the fact that you spent several months getting to know them. By the time someone won the title, you felt like you had known that person forever.I think there is some amazing talent this year. Some truly gifted people with great personalities. But, am I the only one who feels...well...bitter? Could anyone ever take the place of Clay? Does George, Fantasia, or LaToya have what it takes to become wedged that deep in America's heart? With Clay, it was like, there was nothing you didn't love about him. With this years' finalists, doesn't it seem to be getting a little annoying? With George, his over enthusiasm is a little irritating. Fantasia has a terrible attitude, and LaToya has not much personality at all. Clay Aiken was like a teddy bear (a non-velvet one): You never wanted him to go away, and you just wanted to squeeze him in a great big hug. Now that he is off the show, we really don't get to see him anymore. Sure, you can grab your copy of Measure Of A Man and stare at the cover (or your wall, if the fold out poster of Clay has found wall space), but it's not the same as watching him grow week after week. I am now depending on this year's finalists to give me that pleasure- but they're not doing it for me. Hopefully, as the competition goes on, the contestants will grow, and we'll start feeling the same kind of connection as we did with Clay. Until then, I, and I'm sure I'll be joined with many others, will be remembering American Idol with Clay Aiken. Can it get any better than that? -Talli

Welcome to the boards, Waz... See? Right there. I felt like I had to respond to Waz...with uuup. That's wrong. Waz, you're going to have to change your name. As soon as I saw it I saw Waz and immediatly thought of "up". Those stupid, stupid commericals. Waaazzzzupppp! I hate them. Please change your name or I'm going to have to nickname you. (not like I wouldn't anyway, but... ) I know, I know...Wazzooo. You are now Wazoo, like the little Martin dude that visited Fred Flinstone. --is kidding of course mainly because it's not possible to change your name once you've got one (well you can but not without much begging and groveling to webby)
