Please put the name of your choice for this week's bootees IN THE SUBJECT HEADING! This is really easy. Just erase the bit where it says "Re: SurvivorBlows Tribe, It's Time to Vote!" and replace with your vote, i.e., Cindy. This makes it easier to tally votes quickly and accurately. Oh, and btw... nicknames are tougher to tally unless they're REALLY obvious without actually reading your vote. 2. Reply ONLY to this post! Curves on women are good. Curves on vote threads are bad. The first part bears repeating: I like curves on women (which would explain why I haven't seen any episodes this season). Y'know, I'm not sure if I've been clear enough about this. Curves on women are really great things. Y'know what else is good? A nice MLT. Mutton, lettuce, and tomato with just a little bit of mayonnaise. Mmmmm. EXCEPTION TO RULE 2! VOTE CHANGES! Not a good thing in a strong player seen as an immunity threat (god knows why as he hasn't won any, has he?). Other possible reasons: Rafe may be working on getting more deserving players to the end. Unlike Gary, he defines deserving people as good players who are also nice people. Steph--plant a little paranoia about Judd and she'll take the bait. Sure he's a good F2 foil but if you can't trust him how can you count on getting to F2 with him? Actually Judd is not such a good F2 foil, because Margaret isn't on the jury. So far, three men are on the jury, men who might well identify with Judd as a strong guy who played hard rather than Steph the returnee. Lydia is annoying the Queen but she can be swatted down at any time before F3. Take away anyone who could revolt with her and she is no threat. I'll miss the howler monkey symbolism.   Top

Besides, I think Gary slipped up and then tried for a save on Survivor Live here: Gary: At that point I think they had decided that Gary's gone, he's too much of a threat. Get rid of him and then we'll deal with Judd or whoever else, whatever the mix was after that, whether it be Danni or Lydia. Judd wasn't in trouble before TC last week so why would they have been thinking they would "deal with Judd" once they got rid of Gary? Danni and Lydia would have been the next two most obvious targets at the time (which Gary seems to have realized -- oops!).   Top

But everyone here seems to be convnced the alliance fractures and Danni and Lydia are safe. If the alliance fractures, I think Rafe will be leading the charge to vote out the "Mean" players and keep the "Nice" players. Judds a clod, but I think Steph has been shown the one to be "Mean". I just don't see why, if Rafe is going to turn on his alliance with Steph and Judd - he would vote out Judd first. Voting out Steph makes a lot more sense to me. It seems most folks think the final 2 are Steph and Danni. But maybe the spoilers goofed and the final 2 are Cindy and Danni. Judd going before Steph just doesn't make sense. Who would want to put up with Steph for 3 days after betraying "HER ALLIANCE".   Top

I never know when the foundation shifts to the crumble (if it does) - so let's put that aside and consider game logic. What, game logic? forehead is always quick to point out that these castaways don't act rationally. Sure, but this season has Rafe. (Thanks again OFG, for your Rafe thread.) Rafe knows that F9, F7, and F5 are good times to shake things up. Not F6. To be successful in Survivor, you need patience. I think out of all castaways, at least Rafe should be able to get it. Stick with R/C/S/J for one more TC. Danni is safe, so that leaves Lydia. Besides, when is the last time that "Will the F4 alliance shatter?" hype materialized? forehead   Top

Normally boots are idicated by either the conclusion of story or the convergence of two themes. While Judd lying story, and its context in regards to Rafe, is important I don't know if we have seen its conclusion, and I don't see another emerging theme that directly effects Judd at this point. In contrast Lydia's story has slowly built up over the last few episodes, in particular the deterioration of her relationship with Steph. At the same time we have seen the Steph/Danni relationship (the theme that should dominate the rest of the game) build. These converging themes are dangerous for Lydia. Either way, Danni picks up two consectutive IIs, and Judd and Lydia should be the next two to go. I think Lydia goes first.   Top

"Should be: Rafe" None of the remaining Survivors (with the possible exception of Cindy) want him as an F2 partner. He has proven to be, both intellectually and athletically, superior to each of them. He is prone to unpredictable emotional highs and lows. He is socially eccentric. Stephenie has already established a working relationship with an alternative "leader" and, currently, can still be confident of bringing with her a third, malleable, vote. And if the "pact" between Rafe and Cindy has become known (or apparent) to Stephenie and Danni, I would think that the threat of an opposing power base competing for that third vote (either Judd's or Lydia's) at F5 would be, mistakenly or no, more alarming to them than the possibility of an organized resistence at that juncture by Cindy, Judd and Lydia (tonight's 4th vote). Of course, Stephenie (and Lydia) were there when Rafe's fidelity to another "quirky" young lady (Morgan) dissolved into a syrupy promise to "win it" for her as he cast his first vote against her. So, perhaps those two and others are confident that Rafe's history of faithfulness (within the Survivor environment) will repeat itself. However, it would appear that Rafe does not have Immunity tonight: and that is a circumstance that none of the other five can be confident will repeat itself. So, they'll probably boot Lydia or Judd ...   Top
