Brandon thinks he and BJ will be on the chopping block. I still can't keep the tribe names straight, and now it's going to change again.

Howler monkeys at Nakum camp. A snake slithers down the steps of the ruins. Danni has the first confessional. Yaxha walks up to Nakum camp in the dark. They feel strange walking up with no warning. The four Yaxha agree they are in this together. Bobby Jon doesn't know what he will do, he'll hurl if he's around Steph for more than 5 minutes, can't stand Jamie. They wake Nakum and give them their new buffs. Brandon starts working on stoking the fire. Bobby Jon has already had enough of Jamie. Morning in Nakum. Brandon and Bobby Jon are working and collecting wood. Danni is helping. Nakum is sitting on the ruin steps watching the others work. Tree Mail: Lydia and Rafe. They are given their new flag and paint to create their new tribe name. They are told of individual immunity idol hidden in jungle for someone to find. It can be used at any time but expires when down to Final Four. Gary c-t's that if he found idol he wouldn't tell anyone. Everyone is out searching for it. Bobby Jon and Steph discuss sending Brandon home before jury. Bobby Jon wants to at least make the jury. Close up shot of idol, which no one has found yet.

Big lizard greets the morning. Lydia asks whether anyone has thought of ame for new tribe. They discuss combining both former tribe names. They decide upon Xhakum and paint flag with names of all the tribe members. Jamie comes back from search for the idol, unsuccessful. Judd decides to go take a leak, who wants to bet he finds it. Lots of random wandering around by everyone. Suddenly, Rafe puts his hands in a hornet's nest and decides he wasn't meant to find the idol.Gary is making fish hooks. Steph c-t's she was expecting a food reward at the merge, first time there has been a merge without a celebration. Danni upset at negative attitude at Nakum, sorry Xhakum, camp. The old Nakum are bored so they decide to go fishing. The old Yaxha are sitting around eating. Old Yaxha jokes that whoever brings back biggest fish gest eliminated, they start planning order of elimination. Lots of plotting and b*tching going on.

Day 21 at Zhakum. Everyone relaxing in the pool. Did Yaxha tow it along with them, or did production bring it?Tree Mail: Cindy and Brandon. Pot balancing on your head. First individual immunity challenge. Judd: lots of heads will be rolling today (no, actually only one will roll at the end of the day, but what <pause for dramatic effect> evah). Challenge. Huge food buffet laid out for everyone to see. Jeff reclaims immunity idol and old buffs, shows them new immunity necklace. Asks how merge went. Jamie says he hopes some of them didn't mind sleeping outside, not enough room under shelter, at which point Bobby Jon spits. (at least he didn't share a shot rocket. Those of you who watched S alua know what I'm talking about.) Challenge twist: if you feel safe enough you don't have to participate and can did down and eat at feast. However, if you participate you cannot eat. Step, Rafe, Lydia, Jamie choose to eat. Challenge is to stand on cube, balance pot on head as long as you can, after one hour will proceed to tie-breaker. The four who opted out of challenge are permitted to start eating. They are smacking their lips and enjoying the food. Jamie and Bobby Jon are talking smack. Jamie reveals it is still tribal lines. Judd is clenching his fist. Gary is looking less comfortable on his cube. Jamie talking smack to BJ, Rafe getting upset, doesn't think it's fair to taunt. Danni's pot falls off. At end of hour the four remaining are permitted to drop their pot. Tie-breaker: First to run to top of steps without touching or dropping pot wins. Cindy's out, Brandon's out, Bobby Jon is out, Gary wins first individual immunity. Gary first person safe, unless someone finds individual immunity idol or already has.

Back at Xhakum camp. Judd and Jamie having a confrontation about Jamie deciding to eat. Danni c-t's Jamie was very cocky for calling out the strategy while eating. Judd telling Jamie to keep his trap shut. Cindy c-t's that the others are seeing what an ashhat Jamie is. Rafe talking with Danni, can't respect himself and go far in this game with Jamie. Everyone is complaining about Jamie, feel he's digging his own hole being arrogant and cocky and mouthing off at challenges.Two brightly colored parrots fighting in the tree. Oh, the master symbolist, EPMB. Jamie and Bobby PBJ Jon flapping their gums again, Jamie claims Brandon's head on the chopping block. Jamie claims he's just being a good ol' farmboy, if he was going out he'd want someone to tell him. BJ tells Brandon everyone planning to vote for Jamie tonight, he's going home. Brandon worries they will still have the numbers. Brandon claims he's prepared to go home, but now the tribe might vote for Jamie. He decides to go look again for the idol. Gary and Rafe are talking about what's right, having integrity. Everyone preparing to go to Tribal Council. Cindy's not sure what she will do, they decided to vote for Brandon but feels Jamie dessrves to go. Tribal Council: front row left to right - Lydia, Steph, Rafe, Cindy, Danni. Back row left to right - Judd, Jamie, Gary, Brandon, Bobby Jon. Bobby Jon and Jamie get into a verbal match again. Jeff asks Cindy why she participated and didn't eat, because she can eat when she gets home but never again do Survivor. Jiffy asks Gary whether 6 who participated deserve to stay more than 4 who ate, he gives half-answer to vote your heart or some carp. Jeff asks if anyone found idol and wants to use it, no one speaks up. Time to vote, Gary has II, Judd votes first., then Danni, Lydia, no votes shown, Jamie votes for Brandon, Rafe votes, Steph votes, Bobby Jon votes for Jamie, Brandon votes, Cindy votes. First vote Brandon, second vote Brandon, vote for Jamie, vote for Jamie (tied 2-2), Brandon, Jamie, Brandon, Jamie (tied 4-4), Brandon, Brandon. Brandon is voted out of Guatemala.

 I knew it from the beginning of the episode because the person with the most confessionals is always the one sent home! Brandon was very likeable and a good contestant. I'm disappointed that he didn't at least make the jury so that we could hear his thoughts on whoever comes down to final two. It seemed to me as if Jeff Probst hesitated before reading that last vote. Maybe he was also not happy to see Brandon go. After all, he's got to be as tired as some of us are with Judd & Jamie always running their mouths.

Good episode. I think it's WAY better when they don't have two long challenges eating up the hour. We got to see more dynamics.But it was SAD. It's been a long time since I felt genuinely sad to see someone on the block as I did with Brandon. I felt bad watching him giving up then getting some hope then being crushed by the bullies. Boy did the editors give the good edit to the underdogs. Judd/Jamie/Steph got a horrible edit and Cindy and Rafe came off as cowards, not strategists, and Lydia is just a cipher other than acting as tribe cheerleader. I pretty much feel that the editing was accurate but it was also good manipulation. We will be more sorry to see BJ go than we would have been, thrilled when Judd and Jamie go, and happy if Gary and/or Danni help shatter the Nakum fairytale dream myth.

We do miss a lot due to editing. I have more respect for Gary. It would have been so easy for him to have went over to the dark side with his old tribe, but he didn't. I am liking Gary. I also felt sorry for Brandon. He said to Danni "you are the sister I never had". What a great guy.
