you could be right...I'm guessing LaToya is runner up (if not the winner). The thing that bugs me about jumping george is that he looks like he's warming up for the long jump. Yet, strangely...it's also one of the things I like about him. Yikes...what's that say about me?

>As far as I'm concerned...the order >doesn't matter. George, LaToya and >Jennifer will be the top >three and they'll all get >record contracts.. I agree all three are good singer. I disagree Jennifer will make it to the top, although she did a phenomenal job this week! I would NEVER vote or not vote on someone based on race, it should be who is best to win the competition but I can promise you now, there is NO WAY producers will let the top three/four idols all be African American. I think it is a very fair show and they do get booted according to the number of votes America casts. ALTHOUGH, if I came down to that situation, it would not happen.
Up to this point, every contestant to get booted (deserving or not) has been white, with the exception of Camille who is pretty darn. I think she is half white/Hawaiin and half Japanese? Either way, if the four to go so far had all been African Americans, there would already be an uproar! Can you imagine if 1st, 2nd, 3rd and possibly 4th place were all white!! As much as it should go on talent and star quality, millions would stop watchin accusing the show of being "racist". I think it will come down to George, Latoya and Diana., with Fantasia in a close fourth. THAT makes more sense from the producers perspective

What Mistral and Greenmonstah say. George is obviously a nice guy, and taking full advantage of placing in the top 12 due to someone else's carelessness. But what is so great about his voice? Now Jennifer Hudson, I love the way she can finish her notes going up 3 or 4 more octaves when you completely don't expect her to. Now that's singing!! As for Camille - you're a sweet, sweet girl with loads of talent and a beautiful voice, but it just became overwhelming for you. Yours out of anyones will be the first album I buy. All the best in the future baby.

I love everything about George. I hope it comes down to George and LaToya. I don't really care who else rounds out the top 3 or 4. At this point, I probably will not cast votes for anyone else, unless they just blow me away.I think it's interesting that whenever anyone comes across as genuinely nice, some people immediately think it must be fake or a put-on. I've known several people like George in my life. My best friend in college was just like him (though he was white). He was just an all-around nice guy. He almost never had a bad word to say about anyone, and he smiled all the time. He was so much fun to be around. He made you feel good about yourself. I think George is truly grateful to be in the competition, truly grateful for positive comments from the judges, and truly astonished that people are voting for him. I always enjoy his performances, "dips" and all, and find his positive, humble attitude refreshing. In the beginning I just liked him, but now I'm a fan. I'm off my soapbox. I just love the guy, and I'm hoping he either wins the competition or is runner-up. --opinionated

Here, here, opinionated! I agree with you 100% and I think that you will get your wish. It's mine, too! I can't understand why people don't like his voice, unless they're aren't into R&B, blues or gospel.

I realized at some point on tuesday that the only reason I'm still watching this show is because George is on it. Don't get me wrong - others there have talent, but George is the only one left who really draws you into who he is, leaves you *wanting* to vote for him. Throughout the top 32, JPL had just a smidge of that for me, but he didn't have the talent to back it up. Just before every one of his performances, I'd sit there talking to the television(yes, I'm a strange one) going 'you can do it, you can do good this time)...but he didn't. I finally gave up on him, and now I just want him out of there. Latoya is good, but I'm just not really into that style. Jennifer...honestly, ever since this show started, *Jennifer* is the one who I thought needed singing lessons. She has a huge voice, but someone needs to teach her how to use it properly.Anyhow, I'm going off topic. Let me just say that I love George. Not as much as I loved Clay last season, but he's my pick at this point.

IMHO, if William Hung can get a recording contract....any and all top 12 finalists can get one too.

I will miss George's infectious grin. I really didn't think he did that badly for Big Band, but I had to go several pages back to find his thread, so maybe he just didn't have have people feeling very strongly about him. Plus if the rumors are true that he got sick during the competition, Fate just dealt him a bad blow. Maybe he didn't have what it took to make it to number 1, but I sure did enjoy his personality!

Well, there IS an old saying that the dumber you are, the happier you are. George may not have been the brightest bulb on the marquee, but he did seem to be having fun, even after the judges turned negative on him. Can't say the same for Camille or John S. And no, people are not going to be hollering he was robbed, he had gone as far as he could go.

George is one of the more engaging contestants. I'll be watching for his CD and any appearances he has. He does need to learn how to conduct himself in an interview.

I'm sorry, I was never a fan of his. I thought he did okay with Motown and Soul nights, but he was just too Opie for me and it got kind of old. Plus, he didn't have the range I would expect someone to have to do well in this competition.

With all the men/boys gone, who gets the teeny-booper vote?

I know he was not the best week to week but I liked George.Hey if he had known that Queen was a big band he could of sang "Fat Bottomed Girls" "I've been singing with my band Across the wire across the land I seen ev'ry blue eyed floozy on the way But their beauty and their style Went kind of smooth after a while Take me to them dirty ladies every time Oh won't you take me home tonight? Oh down beside your red firelight Oh and you give it all you got Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin' world go round Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin' world go round" He could have dedicated it to his friend Jennifer lol. That would have got him more votes. Hang in there dude and stay away from the Barry Manilow tour you are better then that.
