Spider 164 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Blistex Spokesperson" 09-02-04, 00:21 AM (EST) "Can teams buy clothes along hte way?" I hate to say it, but i agree with Brandon and Nicole on not shaving their heads. Before you lock my post, i say this because can teams buy more clothes with their own money as needed along the trip? Or are they stuck with what they brought in theit backpack from the start? Why? Well, their heads would ahve not been cut, but completely shaved so they would need hats or something to hide their heads. If they had not had hats, they were in trouble. Any thoughts?   Top

Sure they can spend the money as they wish. In previous races, I think I remember contestants getting rid of certain clothes that didn't work out for them and buy different ones. Many did a "lightening of the load" in their backpacks as well.   Top

It seems that I remember Danny and Oswald doing some shopping during the race and I also remember Mary and Peach doing some shopping for clothes at a market during some time between events in the race. I, too, don't think they have any of their own money, so they must have used TAR money for it. However, my point is that if you can find the time in the race and wish to use your race money that way you must be able to do so. It would beat losing the money in a non-elimination round. an IceCat original   Top
