"Survivor 11, Episode 3: State Of The Spoiling " |
LAST EDITED ON 09-28-05 AT 11:57 AM (EST) EPISODE 3 Last week on Survivor.....we had some scrambling, Danni outing Gary as an NFL Quarterback, and then Gary lyin....Nakum won the reward challenge and got some fishing supplies and won immunity. Over at Yaxha Brian told Lydia to speak out and save herself, and Steph said there was no way in heck she was going to be the first one to be voted off. In our first surprise boot of the season, Morgan’s torch was eliminated. Brownroach started this thread in which talks about an interview that Morgan gave with realitynewsonline. The interview reveals that she didn’t think she was lazy at camp, and while she did study some past Survivor shows, she said that any pre-show strategy you may have goes out the window once you meet the people you’re playing the game with. She said that the people she didn’t trust right away were Gary and Stephenie. She did say that she was in an alliance with Gary, Stephenie, Amy, Brianna, and Rafe. Flowerpower’s we’ve been bamboozled thread discusses how Morgan was in the OFG’s theory of elimination, and how in the heck could we have missed her boot? KO’Brien fan argued that while we did miss the invisible boot, we in the spoiling community did correctly spoil that Yaxha would lose the reward and immunity. There was also some discussion on who was the key person in the Morgan boot…was it Gary or Brian? Brownroach felt like this could be the beginning of Brian’s “evil ivy league villian’” edit. Episode’s 3 title is: “The Brave May Not Live Long, But The Cautious Don't Live At All" In a thread with the same name, Brownroach started a lively debate about what in the heck this title could mean. Loquatrix stated that it sounded like some sort of Mayan warrior tale, but Vols said that the quote actually came from the Disney Movie “The Princess Diaries.” Festerfan1 stated that he thought that the quote had to mean Gary, because of how cautious he’s been regarding the whole leadership thing and denying that he was in the NFL. For more debate on what this week’s title could mean, go here. SeeBS Misdirection Smoldering heat forces some Survivors to cool off in the water, risking an encounter with crocodiles. As a tribe attempts to rebuild their shelter, one member takes matters into their own hands and irritates the others. Causing sleepless nights, an inconsiderate howler monkey drives one castaway crazy.... A termite-infested log becomes a delicacy for some castaways desperate for a change in their diet. As always, there is a lot of debate on the meaning of this cryptic message...most seem to think that Bobby Jon's tribe of Nakum will come face to face with the crocs, while Yaxha is the one to rebuild their shelter...to add your thoughts go the SeeBs Misdriction thread started by Brownroach. New poster Derangedbutsane started a thread asking was Blake poisoned by the tree branch with thorns? Others argued that it look like it may be more a case of Asthma then poisoning. To read more about it go here esquire’s Who gets booted third thread talks about how weird it is that in most episode 3 shows, it’s a guy who gets the boot. He posted this list of Surivor’s who have gotten the boot in episode 3: Stacy, Marilyn, Carl, Hunter, Jed, David, Lil, Jenna M, John, and Jeff. Volsfan’s Web Promo Vid Cap jewel of a thread there is a debate on what this: challenge could be of. In doing a little research, Flowerpower discovered that the Mayan’s came up with the great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather version of our own Basketball game. A Mayan Basketball Court? Most everyone seems to agree that the challenge is most likely the Mayan version of basketball. FP also thinks that it could be guys vs. guys and girls vs girls., because of these pictures:
There is also some debate on whether or not this episode could be a double boot, or perhaps no boot at all. Those with better eyes then I have noticed that some of the players have on war paint, while others do not…there is a lot of discussion on what this could mean. KOBrien reminded us that in an All Stars challenge, both Chapera and Mogo Mogo received paint for a challenge, but only the Chapera’s wore it. For More vid caps, Flowerpower's thread shows footage Brandon saying he's never felt better, and pictures of Amy's foot being swollen. Does this mean that Yaxha is headed back to TC? Brownroach has yet another great thread started, this time he brought over an interview from Mess Hall that Rose did with Morgan. Rose asks some great questions of Morgan, like: Q: It looked like Brian single handedly saved Lydia and switched to votes to you. Is he that good a player? and Q: Did anybody feel like Stephenie had an unfair advantage because she’d played the game before? Long Term Spoilers To find the answers to these questions and more, go here: Rose's Questions For Morgan IvoryElephant asks: Does a Bloated stomach=going far in the game? In thisthread. Long Term Spoilers Signs of Survival by Georgianna This is an excellent insight into Survivor by way of Astrology. The Players, The Game, The Editing by VerucaSalt Want to know the meaning of all the imagery, music and confessionals that MB throws at us? This wonderful thread discusses it all and more. Does the number of confessional counts mean that the more a Survivor has the more likely it is they will get the boot? Risti has started a Confessional Counts thread discussing just that here. Remember back in Survivor 2 when Tina Wesson told us the best way to find hidden alliances was to look at who sat by who at Tribal Council? forehead talks about who is sitting by who in this thread. Every season there seems to be a key quote that the sole survivor says somewhere in the season...has it been said already? To find out more, go to the Key Quotes thread that I started. ColbysChick started thisdiscussion on Ethan's Blog and what his views could mean about the current Survivors. Next time on Survivor.......To Betray or not Betray Udg has started a discussion on what this title means here More importantly, don't forget to Vote on who you will think will be the next to go in SherpaDave'svote thread. Edited to add: Don't forget to read Strid333's great Summary up in Bashers. Applejack's SOTS Episode 1 KOBrienFan's SOTS Episode 2
