Yes, she was quite a bit younger than he was. Though when I went to look it up I found conflicting info. One source said she was 31 when they married, one source said 41, one said 36. . . so ?
Although in 1990 he was 78, not 88. (He was born in 1912 - today would have been his 100th birthday.)
Because I'm a nerd, I recognized instantly that it was a Gene Kelly tribute and thought it was pretty cool.
