LAST EDITED ON 02-15-05 AT 08:49 PM (EST) Time to start a new season and already we have weirdness, so read carefully. And thanks once again to BebeKid for the reminder in my email. The Rules 1. Please put the name of your choice for this week's bootee IN THE SUBJECT HEADING! This is really easy. Just erase the bit where it says "Re: SurvivorBlows Tribe, It's Time to Vote!" and replace with your vote, i.e., Angie. This makes it easier to tally votes quickly and accurately. Oh, and btw... nicknames are tougher to tally unless they're REALLY obvious without actually reading your vote. 1a. Because there will be three people leaving this time, but only one of them is actually being voted off, place the person who is voted off first, followed by the other two. For example, if you think Angie will be voted off and Jeff and Willard will be the two who get lost on the way to the challenge, put Angie/Jeff/Willard. 2. Reply ONLY to this post! Curves on women are good. Curves on vote threads are bad. The first part bears repeating: I like curves on women. Y'know, I'm not sure if I've been clear enough about this. Curves on women are really great things. Y'know what else is good? A nice MLT. Mutton, lettuce, and tomato with just a little bit of mayonnaise. Mmmmm. EXCEPTION TO RULE 2! VOTE CHANGES! If it just so happens that you wanna change your vote for whatever reason, REPLY TO YOUR ORIGINAL POST! Your new post heading should read "VOTE CHANGE: Janu (or Whoever)". That said, there is not an exception to the fact that curves on women are good. 3. THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION THREAD! DO NOT TREAT IT AS SUCH! There are plenty of places on the Spoilers Forum to debate the merits of people's arguments. Let's keep it out of here, please. 4. No sig pics! It was suggested that because this can be such a long thread, sig pics make it really hard to load for folks with dial-up connections. So show some respect to your slower brethren (and sistren). And really, if I can refrain from flashing the greens at 100 posters, surely you can refrain just this once from extolling IceCat's animated glory, no? 5. Have fun. I think this used to be an official rule that somehow fell by the wayside over the course of many cuts and pastes. "Janu/Wanda/Jeff" All the buzz has been on Wanda as one of the two people that doesn't get picked onto a tribe, and she makes more sense than anyone else to not get picked because she's the eldest female, the weakest of all in camp and her strangle-the-cat singing causes her to come across as ultra-cheesy so the others are only too happy to say "sayonara" to her. Jeff, that's an interesting choice for the other person who doesn't get picked. He's been shown in vidcaps in a 'leader' type of role and it's evident that he takes the role a little too seriously, annoying people to no end. Tom has been seen in several vidcaps tagging along with Jeff and there's a rumour that he tried to set up an alliance with a younger leader type (I've heard it may have been debunked, but...) but it didn't work out. I think this younger person is Jeff. Plus there's the rumour that he spends 15 minutes reaming out JiffyProbe, so if that's true, then it becomes easier and easier to see why Jeff wouldn't be picked because of his volatility and tendency to yell at people. Janu... well, I don't really have a lot to go on other than several dejected looks from her in vidcaps and spoiler information for other contestants in her tribe outweighing any spoilers for Janu.   Top

BJ and Ashlee may make it to "Love is in the Air", and Jeff is a little too "know it all" and a little too cocky and may rub the other males in the tribe the wrong way....FWIW.   Top

With the tribe mix as shown above, Ulong is young and strong, Koror is older and strong but with not nearly as much stamina. The first challenge is always physically demanding. Koror may hang with Ulong for a while, but won't cross the finish line in time. Ulong wins, sending Koror to TC. I think it will come down to Caryn vs Katie and Katie will lose to the "mom", the lawyer who has a great record for persuading people.   Top

The 2 pre-IC eliminations have been confirmed by vidcaps, so nuff said there. Wanda and Jonathan, we hardly knew ye. As for the traditional boot, this one's a lot harder. IC - Koror wins The caps of Koror celebrating in the boat might not be at the finish line of the IC, but they are most definitely post-challenge. The cap of Janu with the paddle in her hand is identical to the ones they have in the boat. The logical sequence is for the paddles to have been acquired during the challenge for use with a boat at the end of the challenge. Then, afterward, the tribes use those boats for the return trip. Therefore, whether Koror is celebrating at challenge beach or Koror beach, it makes no difference. The celebration is after the challenge, which means Koror wins. Conspicuously absent are any caps of Ulong during or after the challenge. At risk for Ulong - Jeff, Jolanda, Bobby Jon, Ashlee I'm sticking with my assessment from earlier today, in that these 4 are the most at risk for an E1 boot. Jeff and Ashlee because of their complete absence in the CBS promos. Bobby Jon, Jolanda, and Jeff (again) because of the Probst quote on the lessons learned in "gutting" the tribe's strength. I'm ruling out Bobby Jon, though, because he's had too much exposure for an E1 boot. There won't be enough time in E1 to tell anyone's story, so why bother hyping a guy who will be gone before you know him? Also, with the separation of Jennifer and Ibrehem, it's become much clearer as to who the E2 title ("Love Is In The Air...") is about--BJ and Ashlee. So that rules her out, as well. The real choice is between Jeff and Jolanda. Jeff makes more sense from a visibility standpoint, as he has been missing from every promo, and, unlike Wanda and Jonathan (the vanquished twosome), he didn't even get a line in on The Early Show. He seems to be completely full of himself, and that's not likely to win many friends. BUT... when it comes to the Boot, I'm forced to go with Jolanda. Breaking out my handy-dandy E1 boot checklist, let's see how she stacks up: Fulfills Jeff's quote about gutting strength? Check. Little to no exposure in promos? Check. Alienating promo quote that sticks in casual viewers head? Check -- "People find me intimidating" Likely to be argumentative? Check. Possibility of failure to fit in with tribe? Check. She's been through life's wringer, and is likely not to have much tolerance for this bunch. I don't think they'll be able to relate to her at all. I think they will be intimidated by her.
