I don't know if anyone has answered this, but Twila is the person in 2-4. If you look at the last few pics, Twila had on a yellow t-shirt and Amy had on sleeveless. The person clearly had short sleeves. Amy looks to be the second lady in the water as she is the only one that has that bathing suit style in that color. I think Twila and Sarge are the chiefs, but I need to look closer to see if Sarge still has his red bandana because Twila ends up on Lopevi.

I take part of that back. Twila is the first of two women seen in the water, but I think that Ami and Sarge end up being the chiefs. Twila is wearing Lopevi and standing in front of Sarge.
I am going to guess that Lopevi ends up winning a challenge.

I suppose I should have made that more clear. I think I can figure out who is in the shots, however. Last night I started blowing up the picture from the original promo to figure out if they were edited, before I realized the earthquake likely happened *before* the switchup. Anyhow, if it would help: Shot 29 - Sarge(red shirt and hat) Shot 31 - Leanne (brown shirt, yellow buff) Shot 32 - Julie, I think? That's her who has the athletic style tank top, right? Shot 33 - I believe Rory. The skin looks dark The last better quality shot, which I forgot to label - John K (black tank top) I beleive that's all of them that are shown.

For sure we see Leann, Lisa, and Eliza on Yaser.
I can't make the other two out on the platform, I guess the only other guy with a tummy like that would be Travis. And if only one person goes in the water at a time, that would be the tribe of six, but you would think Yaser would still be allowd the seven. Oh well, maybe they flipped a coin to see who picked first and got the extra person or something.

And John K must be diving underwater for Yasur in this cap.

If these are the tribes, than it would seem that the earthquake happened *before* the switchup, since Bubba is shown with a red buff during it, and it doesn't appear to be edited to my slightly-trained eye. The other option, of course, is that Bubba is the extra man on Lopevi, and sat out the challenge. I'm not sure how that would affect your choices, however(and since you, BR, and emydi all came up with nearly identical lists, I'm not going to start doubting them).Only real proof to me that the earthquake could be after the switchup, is that these buffs look awfully clean to me(Jiffy usually is nice enough to give them new buffs during these twists, is he not?)

Welcome Risti!! Great work on the eq Caps!!!Bubba would not sit out if he was at Lopevi, that tribe is down a member. He and Chad could be switched and Chad may sit out, but I think Ami will not want to chance Chad's leg being a problem and will pick Bubba Bubba is on Yasur and he sits out bc he tells them he can't swim that well. Also, Chad would not want to sit out, imho, and he would have to if he is on Yasur, so I'm staying with my picks. Therefore, it is most likely the earthquake is early in episode, the natives come afterwards, they swap and have the water challenge. They may even do the RC as original tribes--look at Lisa's face in vidcap 17 , that looks like she is excited about some food and Twila is still with her.

The reason I'm entertaining the idea that the 2 chiefs go to the waterfall is because AFAICR, when there's a tribe swap there's usually a basket of fruit, cheese, booze, greeting the players at their new camps. I've always thought of that as a reward. How often have they been given a swap, a reward, and munchies at camp? Not that that'll happen or anything....

that looks like she is excited about some food and Twila is still with here, this is a pic of when the native arrives via canoe to the Yasur camp....when he asks for one chief, and just before Ami steps forward to go off with him. I think that the water challenge is the reward challenge and thus occurs after the swap.

Forgive me if this was stated but I am seeing these groups viewed on the pictures and then just common sense (well that might not be a good idea
Ami/Leann/Eliza/Lisa/Rory/John
Lea/Chris/Chad/Travis/Twilla/Julie/Scout
Is that Travis in the water with the Lopevi colors? Which indicates he is on the tribe with Lea, et al. Who has that talent to blow that person up? I have yet to see the promo outside the still shots. I have one question. Has it been established that there is Chief selected from Yasur? I ask this due to the customs of Vanuatu and that a woman IMO, would not be given such an honor. If that is the case, then Lea alone would deciding who he takes/not takes. It would then make perfect sense why Rory is with Yasur. Ami didn't "choose" him but rather Rory got "given" to them by Lea's direction. By the same token, John would be farmed out as well since Lea wants to keep his alliance intact. Edited because I have questions. ETA: Thank you BR I have only just begun to review these and see the raft pictures first. I am still unsure if that is Chris in the water but those who have seen the promo would know better naturally

Maybe, me and VS are blind, but I don't see Ami either, and I'm on a different computer now!!Could it be that there is only ONE CHIEF, that being Sarge he is the only one with the wooden "scepter?" Do you think that Vanuatu would allow a female chief??? Ami gets no scepter.
If that is the case, then Sarge gets to pick the new teams himself as the "one chief." Sarge would get rid of JK and Rory, he would keep Chris. So it's between Bubba and Chad...I cannot decide who this is
The eyes look like Chris but it appears the person has an orange shirt and the red buff around the neck, like Bubba
So if the swimmer is Bubba, then Sarge kept him and Chad is at Yasur and sitting out, because he is not on the Yasur deck here
I find it hard to believe that Chad would decide to sit out, but he the others may ask him to bc of the water and his leg.
The woman Sarge would want on his team is def. Twila. Scout is another hard worker. He may take Julie bc she is cute

The shirtless person rowing is behind the one getting out. Indeed, that may well not be Ami. It appears that the one stepping out of the boat is wearing less, such as necklaces in some pics, but that could be pic quality. The pics where the non-rowing native looks like it might be Ami are the pics where I don't see necklaces. You can see the rower hidden in this pic:

ETA: If there's no female chief why go to Yasur in the first place? Sarge may still be the one chief but I'd think somebody on Yasur is involved with the new tribe picks.

Neither of them is Ami. The Chief would never, row his own boat. Plus as Vols notes below. The promo mentions natives coming to deliver the news.
I tend to believe from the sound of the situation that Lea (and Ami) will be chosen as cheif and then have some time to discuss/strategize with their own tribemates about what it means to be "the chosen one", before going to the "Buff Drop" ceremony. Then the tribes will probably meet for RC and get the standard JP brak. Then, "... before we start, Ami and Lea come over here ... now pick which people you want on your team.". That type of thing. Great deductions everyone! I'm in agreement, looks like Ami will be a chief and Sarge will be a chief. I also agree on the divisions of the tribes, awesome job! Now, is this reward or immunity. I don't see the II anywhere, and perhaps this is for the awesome waterfall resort reward where they can all do some bonding with each other! Is there any speculation as to the winner? I know that Ami is a poor swimmer as during the balance beam over the water challenge, when she swam, she had to hold her nose. We also know that Bubba is a terrible swimmer, just learning how to a few weeks before the onset of the show. I highly suspect that Rory is not the best swimmer either, as I don't think he is that physically fit at all. John is probably a strong swimmer. Will one of the 7 have to sit out this challenge, I would assume so. On the ohter tribe, I think Twila is a poor swimmer, don't know why I think that, perhaps she admitted it during one of the shows. I'm sure Chad is at a disadvantage, but my guess is that if he was a good swimmer prior to losing his lower leg, I'd venture to say that I bet he's a fine swimmer now. He sure looks like he could compensate with great upper body strength and the use of his intact limb. Scout, having an artificial knee and being a little older is probably a slower swimmer. This should be a good challenge, very close to call.

In some of the webcaps Twila has on a yellow t-shirt and Chris has never had on yellow. Always the same red cutout sleeve tee.
Chris has facial hair at this point and if he has another shirt, why would he put it on knowing that he was going to a challenge with water of some kind. Also, even if MB has colorized, Chris's tee is sleeveless. The diver in caps 2-4 definitely has sleeves. I believe that diver is Twila or maybe Bubba. Twila has reddish hair and also looks kind of manly. If you go through all previous ep caps from previous episodes, you will see that Chris never has a yellow tee on.

If you concentrate hard enough on the divers in the picture you start to realize that is some kind of glare from the water and it makes a yellowish or bright glow, but if you look at the arm on the diver by the Lopevi buoy, it is the cut of the bicep that makes this person look like they have on a shirt. Concentrating on it harder, you realize it is a shirtless person. Chris.

(Native) - "One chief" (Sarge?) - "What the hells goign on today." and when a massive earthquake shakes the island (female: "Oh my god")it'll be a true test of survival. A new survivor you can't miss only on cbs. Jeff's 'both guys under a long time' got me thinking, since we are never shown two guys under water at the same time. What we are shown is
Chris at Lopevi ball, with Yasur tribe platform in the background(Rory, four females).
If you look closely, there appears to be at least two of those objects hanging from the top (heads could be blocking more). I'll enlarge a screencap, if anyone wants, but I believe that Rory, Lisa(green bathing suit...I think I have these brunettes sorted out), and by elimination Leanne are standing. (Waiting for their turn yet, perhaps?) Ami(sitting on the right, appears to have blond hair) and Eliza(skinny little thing, dark haired pulled back) are sitting down, perhaps already finished. This means that John K is in the water, if we're going by the assumed tribes, and Bubba is sitting out (can't swim much). However, at this shot:
Lisa is the one swimming(green bathing suit, yellow rope), so obviously we're at a different point in the game. To finish with the Yasur tribe, this shot:
shows the women of the Yasur tribe begging someone to come up out of the water. It is edited right after Jiffy mentions that 'both guys' are in the water. Leanne's hair looks dry, and while it's hard to tell with the other two, this shot:
could show a bit of wet hair on Ami. ETA: It also shows the women standing in a different formation than the first shot. On the other hand, I'm sure they all had to swim out to the platforms, so I'm sure they're all a bit damp. Moving on to Lopevi, as I said, the first cap shows Chris in the water, at the marker. Next, we have what appears to be Chris again underwater:
Knowing the editing tricks already seen, however, can anyone confirm that Chris has longer, dark swim trunks. (There never was a clothing thread established for this season, was there?) Next, we see Sarge and Twila:
who have two of the objects in close view behind them. Twila's hair, at least, appears to be a bit wet, but I'm not sure if she's emerged herself completely, or if it just got wet on the swim over. (it's harder to tel when the hair is back.) Finally, there is this shot:
Since the yellow rope shows its colour quite nicely under water, I'm going to assume it's another male(larger body) diving for Lopevi, especially since there seems to be a blur of red (the object they're diving for, most likely) in this shot:
All and all, I'd agree with the assessment that Lopevi won the challenge. ETA: Corrected a picture link.

That is EXACTLY the problem I have with the new alignment as proposed. However, we are SURE of: Ami, Eliza, Lisa, LeeAnn and Rory. That is five of either six or seven members. I am not SURE that Ami's tribe gets the extra person, but that is not relevant to this question. Since we are SURE of these five, it is clear that Lisa gets targeted BEFORE Rory, which I find very odd.To me, it is quite a dilemma! It is hard to believe that the women will dump one of their own so freely, then turn around and later dump John K before Rory. If they are going for strength, yes, Lisa could go first. Or alliance, John K could go first. But in either case - wouldn't RORY be the next target?? Only time will tell . . . .

You see I posted above the three pictures that I found perplexing in that both natives have different head gear and one matched the one with the women and the other matched the men's visitor. I was able to watch the preview finally and that is not Ami on the raft. I couldn't fathom a land so drenched with males being dominant allowing a female to be a Chief. While many of you presnted a lot of good pics and arguments to me, I still believe Lea is the only chief selected and the two people on the raft are the natives. As I said earlier, this is why Rory is with Ami. Someone questioned why Ami would choose Rory; she wouldn't. She was given Rory by Lea the Chief who would give him up in a heartbeat. Also I checked the man in the water; it is Chris, not Travis. This is just my speculation based on the island premise but I do not feel the women are involved in any way being able to make a selection. As far how anyone else got switched, I'm not sure but Rory being with Ami seems to be the work of Lea rather than Ami having a choice

Also I checked the man in the water; it is Chris, not Travis.Are you absolutely sure, VS? When I first saw that pic blown up I really thought it was Chris as well. But as Bob pointed out, he looks very fair, his hair looks really reddish on the shot of him where you can't see his face and he's about to go under, and he's wearing an ORANGE t-shirt with sleeves(which, IMO, Bubba would keep on in the water as he is so fair). Chris has a RED wife beater shirt, sans sleeves. So, IMO, it is either BUBBA or perhaps it is Chris wearing Bubba's t-shirt....which makes no sense.

I agree that Lea is the "one Chief"... However, I do think that Ami goes on the raft with the Yasur visitor in a special capacity to represent that tribe. Why? There are two rafts, two native visitors, so why would we see two native visitors TOGETHER if they are each visiting a separate tribe at separate locations? Wouldn't it make sense that they are taking one person from each tribe away to do the ceremonial "wife swapping"?

I agree now with VS and vols- I looked over the pics again and saw that there are two natives ARRIVING at the men's beach (the pic with Rory holding the raft, the shaman is the one being carried there and has already stepped off the raft, the person staying on the raft is the native paddler of the raft). I don't think they take anyone away with them, there must be some other that the players are actually switched, maybe when they meet up for reward?

There has to be more than Lea just making one switch. Yasur already outnumbers Lopevi 7 to 6; so if Rory is the only one switched tribes would leave Yasur with 8 and Lopevi with 5. And if Lea switches Rory to Yasur and takes Twila (there is shot of her with red buff in front of sarge) back in return, then Rory and Twila are deadducks at the next TC. But we have pretty good information that both Twila and Rory make it to the merge. So it would make more sense to have Lea and Ami make the switches as has been done in previous editions. Whether they go off alone to the waterfall is not very probable either sense the teaser talks about a tribe winning a wonderful feast at which the can bond (sounds like new tribe getting together for the first time). Question is who wins reward?

My humble observations.A Shaman or Chief would never row himself in! One Chief! In the male dominated society of Vanuatu a woman Chief would never be allowed. I think Sarge becomes "Chief over these lands" including Yasur tribe. He is allowed to switch up players. Looking at the vid caps we see Rory on Yasurs float added with one other male.
Twila is over on Lopevi float wearing the red buff, that leaves one other female to go over, at the least. On the question of Chad, He would not be hindered in the competition because it appears that they can pull themselves down on the rope, with a limited amount of open water swimming. Chad has tremendous upper body strenght and could easily pull himself thru the water with just his arm and little use of his legs. Doesnt Lopevi have the odd number now?
I think Bubba sits out. The switch up is after the earthquake. Some of the girls buffs always look fairly clean. Misdirection by mixing up the vid caps. My 2 cents!

The game works best if "One chief" is selected from each tribe. Since one tribe consists of only women, their chief will have to be a woman. The swap mechanism of two ambassadors or chiefs, has been used before on several occasions. The "one chief" vidcap shows the Yasur tribe prior to their selection of chief...
 
(The messenger appears to be holding up one finger instructing them to select "one chief") ...and another vidcap, without "one chief" superimposed, shows Sarge wearing a ceremonial necklace, probably after Lopevi made their selection.
There would be no reason to have the natives paddle to the Yasur Camp if they were not going to select a chief for their tribe. If that were the case they would just find out when they arrived at the challenge.
While I don't think we have been shown any vidcaps of Ami on a raft, the focus of these shots makes it look like the Yasur will select Scout or Ami. Either Ami or Scout would be a good choice for the Yasur and either way the new tribes could end up as we've discussed.

Perhaps they will do an alternating pick 'em once JP says drop your buffs. I still want to definitively identify Bubba/Chris in the water by the Lopevi buoy. That would really help us to delineate the tribes. Any thoughts on this? And is this the RC or IC? There is no II seen, but after last week, we know it may still be there. ETA: Pictures for comparison Here are the pictures in question....who is this by the Lopevi buoy?

(Ami, Eliza, Lisa and Leeann) ...so Scout must be selected by Sarge to be on New Lopevi, in which case Scout could not have been selected to be the "one chief" of the New Yasur. Therefore, I would have to agree with those who speculate Sarge and Ami are chosen to be "chief", for the purpose of selecting new tribes.

I'm going to stick with my thoughts, at least until the next vid caps come out. My reasoning being, Jeff and the producers have made such a big deal of bringing the culture and taboos to the show.. The opening segment of the welcoming committee, the sacred stone, the ignoring of the women, and playing up the mens role. The whole picture comes into play this season, mixing the Magic of Vanuatu and the roles of the players of the Survivor.

Rory in Yasur. These (according to speculation at Sucks) show that the "panic" footage is actually challenge footage. John is either at Lopevi or he's been colorized. Is it possible that Sarge picks three men to switch and Ami three women? Ami might keep Leann (her closest ally) and the two women she least trusts. Would Sarge keep John (to use as a sacrafice) and hope that Chris/Chad/Rory will be able to use the separation at Yasur to "stay alive"?

If there is a water challenge and a running challenge and both challenges occur post swap, I propose that the water challenge is the reward challenge. Then, later during the challenge we hear Jiffy remark on how the two guys have been under a long time, in this vidcap:
So, can we conclude that the water challenge is the RC, and that the swap takes place just before the RC? Also, perhaps the tribes end up as: Yasur: Ami, Leann, Lisa, Eliza, Rory, Travis, Chad Lopevi: Sarge, Chris, John K, Scout, Julie, Twila ***This is dependent on the identity of the man by the Lopevi buoy as Chris. When I first really looked at that cap, the face clearly looks like Chris to me. It's either a barechested Chris(which I am now leaning towards), or an orange, Bob Barker t-shirt clad Bubba). Finally, the running challenge is the IC?

Have to agree that this tribe distribusion fits the next three boots quite well...Yasur:
Eliza was very pissed off at Lisa after their last TC, and with her tendicy for flip-flopping, she could go with the 3 guys and, and Lisa is voted off. Then with Bubba's homesick story that we started hearing about, he would be the next one voted off possibly due to him asking to go. These two events could be flipped as well, but would create a 3-3 tie for Lisa going home(Eliza, Rory, and Chad vs. Lisa, Ami and Leann), but we don't know what the tie breaker would be, so imo Lisa would go before Bubba. Lopevi:
Kinda obvious for John K going first here, Sarge, Chris, Twila, and Scout should bond due the the "older" vs "younger" theme that has been going on on throughout, and would be the smart move to prevent a 3-3 tie happening (men vs women).

If the earthquake occurs on the AM of day 11, first day of episode 5, and that is a shot of Rory running to get to the beach with a buff on his head...Later that morning, the natives arrive to Lopevi beach and Rory is seen with his buff around his neck. Obviously in a different location than earlier that morning??
By the way, does anyone recognize this person? It looks to be a male to me... 
I must say I'm trying to fit this waterfall reward into the game. Do you think that they would have another combined RC/IC?? If indeed the running is not a challenge? Or, perhaps if the runners are not in a challenge, then we are not being shown any of one challenge. At any rate, I do believe the swap occurs just prior to the water challenge.

I have been a regular reader of these boards for the last several seasons. I want to commend all the regular posters for their insight and logic. I love this board, it is the best spoiler board on the net!That said, I would like to point out something that I caught in the various vidcaps. I have to weigh in on the side that says the running is a challenge, and IMHO the immunity challenge. Look at Eliza's clothing carefully. In the first shot of the TV promo, she is wearing her gray t-shirt and long pants. In the shots of the women grouped together welcoming the natives, she is still in long pants. In the shot of Eliza & Julie at the start of the earthquake, she is in her long pants. In the vidcap of her running, she is in shorts. It can't be earthquake footage then, can it? Please be nice to this newbie, although I feel like I know you all already. My fantasy league team is #39 on the overall leaderboard at the moment, Team Catchat. I spend an inordinate amount of time reading spoiler sites, heehee. Thank you, and I hope to become part of the community here.

As far as the contention that MB wouldn't give one person that much power and/or too much is being of the cultural aspect; understand your position but I'm inclined to think otherwise. He has given two people in the past that kind of power, why not one. Mr. Burnett does have to change things to keep the viewer from saying "Oh this again?" Due to the way I view Survivor I think also that Mark Burnett put a lot of emphasis on the culture and would, in fact, utilize that to be consistent with the game. Edited b/c I recally JP stating how the culture plays a bigger role and I can't get past that But those are strictly my VerucaSalt thoughts lol

Thanks FlowerPower and Sylvester for setting me straight. I was being a stubborn german about the running shots not being a challenge, but I will listen to good logic and sound reasoning...thanks, I'm now conviced that the running is not in response to the earthquake because of Leeann's changing from long pants to shorts...she wouldn't take the time to change if she was running for her life. The lighting still bothers me. The running appears to take place shortly after the earthquake. A simple explanation is that it may be part of the Reward challenge rather than the IC. We may have the challenges reversed and in the water challenge the Idol may simply be on the beach. I need to review the tribal reconfigurations based on the most recent vidcaps, and see if things still make sense.

Total credit goes to our newbie, Sylvester! KB, this episode is a puzzle with many points to figure out. Here's what we know for sure:Day 11: Early morning earthquake, early morning visitor by natives. Lea appears to be "the one chief", while Ami appears to take on a leader role for the Yasur tribe. There may be 2 challenges, an RC and an IC The swap occurs right before the water challenge, when JP says "drop your buffs" New Yasur: Ami, Eliza, Lisa, Leann, Rory,?,? New Lopevi: Sarge, Twila, Chris, Scout, Julie,? So, the question is where are JK, Chad, and Travis? Supposedly the running shot of JK with the red buff on is during the earthquake, thanks to emydi. Now, here is what I am proposing: There may be a running challenge.
There is a beautiful waterfall reward for one tribe...so it makes sense that there will, indeed be 2 separate challenges. We see Rory running with the yellow buff on....so, can we assume if there is a running challenge that it indeed occurs after the swap? I think that all of those shots of them running must be a challenge, why else would they show them all running singly like that? So, if both challenges occur post swap, then the water challenge must be the first challenge as that's when Jiffy says,"drop your buffs". So we can assume the water challenge is the RC, and if all of the running shots are a challenge, then that must be the IC.

It was during the time the announcer was talking about the earthquake, but now that we know that there is a running challenge, it may have been placed in the ad there but it is actually from the challenge.Now whether the running challenge is before or after the swap??? The similar sun light that KB talks about, makes me think that it is early but what day? The earthquake is supposedly during the 8 am hour on the first day of ep. 5 (thanks Fester). It's highly unlikely that they would do a 6 am RC. Therefore, the running challenge would be AFTER the earthquake. Why would they make the survivors run through the trees, etc. when there could be aftershocks and falling coconuts, etc.?? Could the running challenge be the next morning early or even day 3 early??? If it's day 2 then RC, day 3 IC??? Now saying all that, I see I have answered none of my questions??? Sorry!!but I do know that the guy by the Lopevi buoy is Chris!!! And VS, I think Lea is the "one chief" too. When the natives come to Yasur, they are all looking amazed and looking to their lefts. Could they be looking at Sarge in Chief clothing??

Well, Veruca and emydi, you both bring up great points. Yes, there are holes in this puzzle, and I feel we are still in need of one critical piece. The only clue that we have for both the RC and the IC being post swap IS the running Rory with the yellow buff. And yes, I am well aware of MB and his doctoring of buffs.Yes, I totally agree that the lighting is so so similar to the caps when the earthquake occurs that it leads us to believe that the running challenge is soon thereafter the quake. I, too, am thinking perhaps it is on another morning altogether, such as day 12 or even 13. The one thing that I am certain of is that the swap occurs just prior to the water challenge. We have JP, stating drop your buffs from the previews for next week after episode 4, while standing against a blue ocean, coastline backdrop. The exact same backdrop he has when he says, "both guys down a long time", regarding events happening during the water challenge. And he's wearing the orange cap and same clothing. So, it is not clear as to the sequence of events...which is the RC and which is the IC. I would suspect that the RC would take place on a morning as then the winning tribe could proceed to spend the whole day at the waterfall resort. I'm baffled and am just waiting to find the one piece of the puzzle that will put it all together. VS, where does the story guide you regarding all of this?

emydi you bring up good points regarding timing. While I can't accurately know the cycle or whether they would have a challenge following the earthquake I do believe, at this time, the earthquake and the reward challenge both occur prior to any switching but that is just my thought The water challenge is what brings them all together to find out the new tribal dynamics. As far as any ideas about story; in keeping with what I have posted in the Editing thread, it is pretty obvious that Lea wants to keep his "men" intact and accordingly I would suspect he would attempt to choose women who could help him which makes Twilla a pretty easy choice but regardless of how they are selected Lea wants a well oiled machine and considering his wrath about Rory as well as the fact that JK (IMO) serves him no purpose as well as the Insider discussing JK's apparent apathy towards contributing to Lopevi, I would suspect these two would not be with Lea's unit (if he has the complete power to do this) Arc wise, story wise............... Lisa, JK, Julie have NO story. What little Lisa and JK had is done and over with it. If there were to be anymore to any of them, I feel we would know. Therefore, with Yasur compromising of Eliza, Lisa, Ami, Leann......... there is no more reason for Lisa to be there as her story is done and Mark Burnett would have invested more time in her if she were to have any longevity. This is also true with JK's slight spike with his visit to Yasur. This trip of his could have been highlighted so much more and we could also have been made privvy to what,if anything he discussed with Lopevi and his strategy at how much would be revealed; we did not. Therefore JK is done. Julie had and has no story, she is finished. Twilla and Travis are both stories reaching a conclusion. Twilla's wish of being with men is about to happen; her work ethic will no longer be her own; Lea works hard as well as other men. She had her issues, she got softened with her "going along" (despite her not wanting to) and she really won't be needed any longer. Travis expressed his longing for his family; which is NEVER a good sign in terms of editing. He is a very nice guy who will not be buffered by his other three alliance folk. Both Twilla/Travis can go home pretty soon as their stories are reaching a conclusion. We are waiting now for............. What will Eliza do next?
Will the Ami/Scout/Leann/Twilla alliance stay strong though separated?
Same with the Chad/Chris/Travis/Lea
How and when will Rory bring Lea down and how and when will we see Chris involved in this.
When will we see the emergence of "peace groups" and "war groups"
When will we see more emergence of the Chads, Ami's and Leann's (especially Chad/Ami wink wink) Losing the challenge will determine who goes obviously. I can only suggest that crossing your fingers (Eliza) and putting your hands on your head (Leann) does not emote a very winning team to me lol
Therefore, Lisa should go and I think Eliza will make sure of it. In the Editing thread I made note that Lisa last week found herself with a sudden desire for spiritualism and wanting to be with the older women now etc. This spiritualism "arc" if you will reached a conclusion. ...combined with Jeff's attire for both the swap and the diving challenge as established earlier in the thread, as well as the timing of the reward happening on Day 11 (July 8), I can't help but conclude that the diving challenge is the RC. Note in particular Lisa, Twila, Ami, and Leeann. When they greet the boat, Lisa's in her green bikini top, Twila's in her yellow t-shirt, and Leeann's in her brown t-shirt. When they arrive on the beach for the swap announcement, Leeann's still in her brown shirt, Twila's still in her yellow shirt, and Ami's got her aqua bikini top on. In the challenge cap, we again see Lisa's green bikini top, as well as Ami's aqua bikini top. It has to be the same day...Day 11. Here's the E5 chronology as I see it:
Morning Day 11: Earthquake and Vanuatu natives arrive. Late Morning Day 11: Tribes meet at challenge beach, swap occurs, RC happens immediately. Yasur wins. (More on that in a bit.) Afternoon/Evening(?) Day 11: Waterfall reward. Someone on that tribe is very happy to bond with their new mates (per SeeBS misdirection). Day 12: I think they go straight to the IC on Day 12, because the Pig Pen challenge was supposed to be July 10 (which would be Day 13). Lopevi wins. Yasur goes to TC. Lisa voted out. I think Yasur wins the RC, which makes sense if you think about new Lopevi being weighed down (literally) by Sarge, Bubba (or Chris--if that's him by the Lopevi buoy, but I don't think it is), Scout, and Twila. No matter who the other 2 are, I find it hard to imagine an RC win involving diving with that bunch. At the waterfall reward, it's Eliza who is very happy about her new surroundings. She knew she was outside the Burly Girl alliance after Mia left. Now she's in a tribe w/ 3 new men. We know she's not above flipping. She makes fast friends the men. The IC appears to involve some running. Based on vidcaps of more than person from Yasur, it may be some kind of relay (or have a relay component to it). We don't know much else about it, yet I think Lopevi wins it. Why? There's some intel on another thread pointing to a Lisa boot in E5. The only way Lisa gets booted is if a woman flips. We know she remains on Yasur with Ami, Leeann, and Eliza. Ami and Leeann certainly aren't going to vote a woman out, especially with a numbers advantage, but Eliza might. And I really think it would take Chris to negotiate that, as we haven't seen any kind of savvy on the parts of Rory or Chad and Sarge and Bubba seem too monolithic to work anything outside of the Fat Five alliance. That spec makes me think that Bubba and John K. must remain on Lopevi. We see John K. running in what appears to be the IC, and I'm really thinking that's Bubba by the Lopevi buoy in the diving challenge caps. This makes sense for their future boots. All it would take is a tie-break win to get the numbers in favor of the women of New Lopevi. We know that Scout and Twila make the jury, and the only data we have on Julie's boot puts it "right before the merge". She was also the last on Snewser's list. To sum up, I think New Yasur is actually Ami, Lisa, Leeann, Eliza, Rory, Chad and Chris, while New Lopevi is Sarge, Twila, Scout, Julie, John K., and Bubba. Which, if I'm right about Yasur going to TC in E5, sets Lopevi up for back-to-back IC losses in E6 and E7, with Bubba and John K. going home before Julie. Fester

I agree with a lot of what you say here Fester, and dang it sure stinks to have been away for the whole weekend and trying to catch up on my spoiling, but here goes.I agree with Veruca and her assesment of One Leader and that leader being Sarge. He will get the power and only he will have the power to split up the tribes and make the new ones. He will not give up Chris to Yasur, Chris is the one calling the shots. But I wouldn't put it past him to give up Bubba, plus I agree with Emy that it is Chris in the diving vid cap. I also do not think that Sarge would get rid of Chad either. So Sarge picks 3 guys to send to Yasur (Bubba, Rory, and John K) and then picks 3 women to take from Yasur (Scout, Twila, and Julie). Lopevi: Lea, Chris, Chad, Scout, Twila, Julie
Yasur: John, Rory, Bubba, Eliza, Ami, Lisa, Leann With Bubba most likely sitting out the challenge for Yasur, I agree with you Fester that they win the reward at Mele Cascades, but I think it is John who is ecstatic to have new tribe members to align with.

I'm in the camp with the new Yasur as Ami, Eliza, Leann, Lisa, Rory, Travis, and Chad. New Lopevi: Sarge, Twila, Scout, Chris, JK, and Julie. Just leaning that way for now. I do believe that Lea will be the only chief, but I can not fathom Lea having total control as to who goes where....sorry. I think Ami, although she is not the chief, will indeed have some say in how the tribes are swapped. Thanks for your take on things Fester! You make some good points. I do think that the man by the buoy is indeed Chris though. As for your thoughts on the story arcs, I think you are right on the money, VS! Keep up the great work!

Remember back at the begininning, wasn't there a quote I think it may have been by Jeff P. saying that many players thought the tribe reshuffle wasn't fair but that it all worked out for the best. I am only going by memory, but that thought keeps gnawing at me. Maybe it wasn't specifically mentioned to be about the reshuffle but back when I read it that is what I took it to mean.I can see where the players would really hate to have one person picking the two new tribes and how they would think it wasn't fair (especially since it looks like per Snews list 3 of the players will be of the next 4 boots on Yasur.) The reason things may work out for the best though is because Lea is putting all the rotten eggs in one basket, therefore when they merge, he will become their biggest target. Remaining players at merge:
New Lopevi- Lea, Chad, Chris, Scout, Twila
New Yasur- Rory, Ami, Eliza, Leann Sarge will be one of the "strongest" physically and therefore the biggest threat. I wouldn't be surprised to see him as the first jury member. I can also see some new alliances forming from these groups.

Thinking out of the box...What if the "one chief" has nothing to do with the swap at all? Instead, it is part of the challenge. Ami and Eliza are not dressed the same way at the "one chief" meeting as they are at the buff drop. Eliza is dressed the same way (changed out of pants to shorts) as in the "running" challenge. What if the chief is "kidnapped" and the RC is to rescue him/her? That's why the lighting is so similar...it happens that morning. They have the Reward and meet the next day and are told "drop your buffs." The women choose from 4 Yasur/3 Lopevi in one basket while the men choose from 3 of each in another. Is there PROOF that there is some sort of "choosing" of tribes by one or both "chiefs"?

I can see Rory, Lisa, Ami is standing behind Lisa, and Leann is sitting off to the right. I thought before that that person was Eliza but it sure does not look like her in that pic! Could that be Travis/Bubba? Eliza must be in the water competing at the same time as Chris. To me, it really looks like a male. It sure does NOT look like JK. It must be Bubba or Chad, I think that it's Bubba. I wonder how low Chad's amputation was? I know it's a below the knee so not seeing his stump here could be possible. But the body posture does not look like Chad, but instead Travis. So to me it's looking as though this not only confirms that Travis is on the new Yasur, but that he is also competing for them as well. I think if he were sitting out that he would be back further and not sitting there dangling his legs! Edited to add: I think I have been staring at all of this too long! I just saw the other newer vidcaps at fever and I think this just might be Eliza....this shot must be a terrible camera angle!

I am thinking they add up the total, the deeper tokens have higher numbers, the total highest number wins. I still don't know who goes where with the shakeup.

Now I am no expert on body language or how women/men react but as women (and women here can agree/disagree) we are very physical in things we do. In other words, in a group listening to something (especially to someone who is speaking differently in some aspect) we are physical in that we try to get closer, we perhaps use our arms more, we enunciate in order to close the gap in communication whereas men usually would be more inclined to stay where they are. Obviously this is not a black/white rule but Ami shifting her position may be for communication/understanding purposes. She already showed how involved she got with the culture and Da? and her eagerness to learn etc (like the other women) I would not be surprised that she moves forward to close the gap in order to understand the visiting native better. Funny Twilla wearing a flower in her hair.

This makes downstream spec more difficult, as I don't get how New Yasur could boot both Lisa and Bubba, while New Lopevi boots John K. and Julie. Granted, one of the 4 is likely the merge boot, but still, it's too difficult to figure all that out with the info we have right now. So I'll just stick to my E5 spec of a Yasur RC win, Eliza flipping, Lopevi winning the IC, and Lisa going home via the 3 Men and a Whiner route. I hold on to the notion that the E6 title foreshadows a TC tie, though. Fester

The problem that I have with sequencing this episode all comes down to Rory's buff color. It's yellow in the running scene, implying that he is now a member of the Yasur tribe. Many peeps are speculating that it's just MB up to his old color the buffs routine again, and so are comfortable in saying that it's really red so the running challenge is the RC and the water challenge is the IC. My problem with all of this is why does it matter what color Rory's buff is to MB when we've already been shown that he gets switched to Yasur(as we see him there with the Yasur girls on the dock). It does'nt make sense to me to disguise his buff while he's running. So I think, for now, that I am in the camp where the water challenge is the RC, while the running challenge is the IC. Just my opinion.

Twila-beside Sarge with red buff
Chris-in water by buoy with distinct part and pony tail
Scout-by elimination
Julie-by elimination JK ?? see below Yasur: Ami:shown on dock during challenge
Lisa: same
Leann: same
Eliza: same
Rory: same
Bubba ??? see below
Chad ??? see below
Chad, Bubba and JK are not known for sure Likely that Bubba sat out--not shown in any vidcap. Yasur is up one member and this "should" stay the same. Therefore, I think Bubba goes to Yasur with Rory. JK-in the vidcap of him running he has a red buff--this may be during earthquake, but we know it also could be in the other runnng challenge. IMO it was misdirection in the ad shown yesterday that he was running because of the earthquake. In the vidcap, he looks pretty determined while running, 
He looks like Leann when she is in the other photo--we know this vidcap is from the running challenge because Leann didn't have shorts on when the EQ hit. 
The survivors shown reacting to the EQ (Leann, Julie, Eliza and Bubba) are all like "What the &$^#" and are not "running" with a purpose like JK is in the vidcap. 
Therefore, I'm going to put JK on Lopevi By elimination, Chad is on Yasur (and I think that may be him sitting on the Yasur platform) 
4. The RC is the diving challenge and Bubba sits out for Yasur. They have to go down and retrieve plates with nos. on them, add all the nos. on the plates retrieved and the higher total wins. 5. IMO, Yasur wins the RC because they have better swimmers and the person who is thrilled with her new tribe (CBS misdirection) is Eliza. Also, this is not scientific or even proven, but I seem to recall, the RC winners are usually shown more in vidcaps, so I think Yasur wins. 6. Yasur spends the rest of Day 11 at waterfall frolicking and Eliza is conniving with Rory, Chad and Bubba. 7. In am on day 12 the running IC occurs (sun light is similar to when EQ hit day 11 at 8:30 am). Also, I don't think they would have them running through the trees on the same day as an EQ, therefore, I think this lends credence to the fact that the running challenge is IC. 8. IMO (even w/o knowing Lisa is the expected boot)I would give the nod to Lopevi in a race. JK is most likely the fastest runner and he could get them out to a good lead if he is first to run or pick up ground lost in earlier heats if he is the anchor man. I agree with FP, there is no need for EPMB to get out his buff-o-matic machine because we already know there is a switch. He used it at other times (F10 all stars) when we did not know for sure of a swap. Thanks Klick for enlargement 9. After Lopevi wins, we go to Yasur and Eliza is shown again conniving with Rory and to lesser degree Chad and Bubba. Rory knows the importance of nos. in this game as evidenced by the Fat Five and his continuing to get votes from the studs. Eliza will most likely say that Rory is being targeted and she will vote with the guys (like Heidi did in Amazon when she voted for Jeanne) if they get rid of Lisa for her. This will also be the beginning of the Eliza-Rory alliance that I think will continue after the merge.
10. Lisa is voted out 4-3 at TC with Ami, Leann and Lisa voting for Rory. TC is at night on day 12 and the pig challenge can still occur on day 13, first day of episode 6 as Fester states in his above post.

Yes emydi, I think we've got it, or else we are very, very close to it! I agree with the sequence of events, and thanks forehead for the Okielokie link! That proves that the two tribes are running the same route...even if that is not a marker, it is the same thing that they are running by, thus in the same place. It makes sense that the running IC is the next morning...then they have all day to show us plotting and backstabbing.I also agree with the tribal swap end results. I think that Yasur gets Ami, Leann, Eliza, Lisa, Bubba, Rory, and Chad. While Lopevi gets Sarge, Twila, Chris, Scout, Julie, and JK. As for who wins...that I am not so sure about. Poor swimmers, IMO include Ami, Bubba, Twila, Chris, Scout. Julie has asthma....this is a really too close to call challenge. As for the running...well, clearly I think Lopevi will win that with JK. Yasur has more girls plus Bubba, Rory, and Chad...perhaps Chad will sit that one out. Well done for now, e.....we'll see!

Thank you for the warm welcome earlier. I will try to find a signature graphic today to make my posts more visually attractive, heehee.I have been studying the promo vidcaps intently. I'm not sure that this is important at all, but I do believe the natives arrive BEFORE the earthquake. In vidcaps #17, 18 & 19 above, notice Eliza's buff is worn like a kerchief, hanging down in back. I assume because she just woke up. In the earthquake shot - #28 - of Julie & Eliza, Eliza's hair is now pulled back and ready for the day, and her buff is now worn like a headband. I believe the vidcaps of Leann & Travis during the earthquake were originally planned to get their reaction to the natives' visit, I particularly noticed Leann's animated expression right before the tremor. What has been bugging me is the shot of Twila and Ami at the "drop your buffs" comment from JP. The red flowers behind their ears just screamed to me that they had already been to the reward at Mele Cascades. However a comment I read on another board (sorry, can't remember where) suggested that the natives brought them to the ladies, as the poster thought she saw something red in one of the visitor's arms. That has calmed down my 'hinkies' about that shot somewhat, as it sounds plausible. And another thought, if new Yasur wins reward, and new Lopevi wins immunity, the majority of the episode will have to focus on new Yasur, first at the reward, then scheming in preparation for TC. I wish we could pin down who wins reward. It seems to me the people that would be happiest with their new tribes would be Rory, Eliza, JK, or Julie. Half and half according to the current switch spec. I just can't get a feel for the reward winner.

Great analysis Emydie, but I disagree with the conclusion that John K ends up on Lopevi. If John K is with Lopevi, there is no logical scenario where both John K and Julie get booted from Lopevi pre-merge. Based on Snewser’s memo Julie gets booted immediately pre-merge, therefore John K would have to be booted sometime before Julie. For John K to be booted there would probably be a tie vote between Julie/Twila/Scout and JohnK/Chris/Sarge with the tiebreaker going to the women. But, once John K is booted how would Julie get booted?? For that to happen either Twila or Scout would have to shift alliances and vote with Chris/Sarge to boot Julie. But why would Twila or Scout shift alliances at this time when only a week before they risked a 50/50 vote to boot off JohnK? Additionally, prior to the Julie boot the women would have an overall 6 to 4 advantage in numbers, although since they couldn’t trust Eliza (she is the cause of Lisa getting booted) the effective balance of power would be 5 to 5 prior to booting Julie. Therefore, Twila and Scout would know that if they joined with Julie to boot either Chris or Sarge that post-merge the women without Eliza would be able to Pagong the remaining guys and Eliza. This would leave the Burly Girls with Julie as the final five with all of them having an equal shot at first place. So, using Nash’s Theory it would not make sense for Twila or Scout to switch alliances to boot Julie. If however JohnK is part of Yasur, then the logical boot sequence is for Eliza to vote with Rory/JohnK/Travis to boot Lisa. Eliza will boot Lisa because she cannot allow either the Burly Girls or the Fat Five to be the dominant alliance post-merge otherwise Eliza won’t make it past fifth place. If the Burly Girls were dominant post-merge, they would Pagong the guys and then boot Eliza before battling amongst themselves for first place. If instead the Fat Five were dominant post-merge they would Pagong the women and then boot Rory before battling amongst themselves for first place. Therefore Eliza and Rory will have the same incentive to keep the Burly Girls and the Fat Five relatively equal so that neither of those alliances is dominant. After eliminating Lisa, then Eliza and Rory will vote with Ami/Leanne to boot Travis and then JohnK. Travis will be booted before JohnK because he (Travis) is a member of the Fat Five. Over on Lopevi, Julie would be eliminated in tiebreaker vote after a 3 to 3 vote split along the Burly Girl and Fat Five divide.

We know Twila has voiced that she gets along better with men than with women. Julie is the only bowhead left from her tribe now on the new Lopevi...I'm sure she does not feel a tight bond with Scout and Twila. I suspect she'll turn to John K. John will not be able to convince the elder women to go along with them, as we know he is not bound to Sarge and Chris. I could see them getting booted easily. As for the reward challenge, I am not convinced at all that it will be a Yasur win. Remember the hold your breath the longest challenge on all-stars. EVERY single man, beat every single woman. Men have a larger lung capacity than women. This water challenge is essentially a hold your breath the longest challenge. The new Yasur tribe will have most probably 2 men competing, Rory and Chad. Chad is probably great at it, while I'll wager that Rory is not so great at it. The new Lopevi may have 3 men competing, Sarge, Chris, and JK. Chris looks as if he's doing very well on the vidcaps, headfirst pulling himself downward. I'll bet Sarge is fair at it and I'll bet that JK may be the best at it. Something to think about.

I'm with you on this, I believe John K and Julie do go to
Lopevi, and that Sarge/Chris/Twila/Scout will be the new alliance there. John K & Julie are likely to band together, to no avail.
Thank you for reminding me of the breath holding capacity of men v. women. That does bode well for new Lopevi, with in all probability 3 men diving to new Yasur's 2. Also, just wanted to note that I read in Leann's bio at cbs that she quit smoking when she learned she would be on Survivor. Her lung capacity is probably below average, and Eliza looks to be pretty petite, i.e.=small lungs.

IMO, the only way that Lopevi could win the running challenge is if they keep JK on that tribe. If Chad is on Lopevi and JK goes to Yasur, I would think that Ami, Leann, Eliza, Lisa, Rory, Bubba, and JK (with the slowest one sitting out) would easily beat Chris, Sarge, Chad, Scout, Twila, and Julie in a running relay race of some kind. Just my 2 cents.

If JohnK ends up on Lopevi and is booted prior to Julie, then it's Chris/Sarge that are joining Scout/Twila, not Scout/Twila that are joining Chris/Sarge. Once JohnK is gone the Lopevi women would outnumber the Lopevi guys 3 to 2, so Chris/Sarge are placing their survival in the hands of Twila/Scout. If Twila/Scout chose to they could ally themselves with Julie and boot Chris or Sarge with the second Lopevi boot. If Twila/Scout are loyal to Ami/Leanne, then that is exactly what they would do since it would increase the women's numerical advantage to 6 to 3. If Twila/Scout are not loyal to Ami/Leanne, then I would expect them to boot Julie before JohnK. So, if Twila/Scout joined with Chris/Sarge I would expect them to boot Julie first, then JohnK at a later TC. But, according to Snewser's memo Julie is apparently the last pre-merge boot, so it seems that having JohnK on Yasur is a better fit for the known pre-merge boots.

While your selections certainly fit that riddle as well, I guess I am suggesting Twilla because of where I see the story going for her and how she expressively indicated of how uncomfortable she was with all women despite the surface softening that occurred for her. I think, like when we were shown the obvious contradictions between the male tribe and the woman tribe and how they were functioning, we may see now the vast differences in both tribes yet again (War and Peace). If Lopevi should win reward and a portion of the show is focused on their bonding and someone's genuine happiness and we see Yasur downtrodden which will then be even more apparent if Lopevi also wins immunity there will be again a major difference in both tribes "personalities" so to speak. Additionally since I feel that Eliza is crucial in this Tribal Council, this will give her the time necessary to see the dynamics going on with the men. When a tribe goes on a lavish reward there is that "feel good" vibe and while this is not a hard and fast rule there usually isn't much "strategizing" so to speak. It could be that the new Yasur by being back at camp prior to the IC there are feelers being put out (with so much time on their hands) that will enable Eliza to make some decisions.

I'm going to chime in and agree with VS and those in the Sarge as one chief camp, and respectfully disagree with my friend Krautboy.In Polynesian culture, every tribe has a chief, singular--no question of plurality. These tribes currently have no chiefs; if two chiefs are assigned then each will have "a" chief. Since I moved to Hawaii, I have studied a fair amount of Polynesian culture; Hawaii, for example, had a chief or king for each island at one time, then Kamehameha united the islands and became the one chief/king. One Chief, semantically, implies that where there is a plurality in the power structure there is now one at the helm as an uber-chief. That would need to be of both tribes. In this culture, there are also under-chiefs. I agree that Ami is likely to be chosen, for her sheer presence if nothing else. Scout is somewhat in the crone stage and does not emit an aura of authority. I think the caps of Ami moving forward are a great catch that shows she was called to the forefront. In the opening ritual, Burnett chose to let the cultural belief in male domination (for overt power) come through in the game. Although you can say the ritual was not the actual game: Survivor is the reality show that centers on the power of ritual. Psychologically, ritual is powerful in this game. In the Polynesian culture, the men have the power in name and the women, the matriarchs, have the power in reality, because you'd better believe that mama and auntie are ruling the roost. (I could say, just like in most cultures.  ) I think it's quite possible that Burnett is allowing that to play out. As the men are repeatedly shown saying (confessionals and Insider): never underestimate a woman. The women have not needed the "formal" power (the kava/awa ceremony or the stone) to kick ass, and they are even more to be feared once they can begin their "manipulations" in a mixed tribe. Is it unfair to pick Sarge as chief? Only if you believe that women don't know how to rise above those circumstances. That said, I am not sure that Sarge controls the entire shuffle. The way it appears to shake out is consistent with some kind of alternating pick 'em. However, I can absolutely see Sarge taking the opportunity to lose the annoying Rory. His choosing JohnK over Travis would be more surprising, as Lea knows he needs to keep his numbers together, if possible. It would be risky to let his alliance be divided if he is in control. Great observations, OFG. Makes perfect sense.His choosing JohnK over Travis would be more surprising, as Lea knows he needs to keep his numbers together, if possible. It would be risky to let his alliance be divided if he is in control. Reasons why Sarge might pick John K over Travis: 1) If Ami were to pick Chad first, Sarge might (grudgingly) feel he better take the other strong guy to balance out his own tribe; but there is a plus to that... 2) ...by doing so, he doesn't allow John K to bond with any of the women outside of Sarge's jurisdiction; and 3) If Sarge's tribe does lose immunity, he and Chris can arrange for John K's boot, as planned all along. Don't know if Sarge is crafty enough to put that together though.

Look at the positioning of the women in the two pictures: Lisa in the front right of picture, and Leann (sitting in the on, standing in the other) behind and to the right of Lisa, Ami is standing the the back left of both picutes, and the one that is clear shows Eliza right in front of Ami. Seeing the pic that isn't as clear, the person in question is again in front of Ami, and imo seems more petite than Scout, and with the other three keeping the same postions on the float, leads me to think that's Eliza sitting down on the platform, and not Scout.

I had to back out the camera motion best I could but stare at this a minute, concentrate on the person(s) on the left. You should be able to detect two right arms because of the movement. There is a person behind the one sitting down on the left. I think Chad is sitting behind Elisa. Then there is Rory, Lisa, Ami and LeeAnn. I am assuming someone is diving on nuYasur while Chris is diving ... that means all seven NuYasur are participating in the challenge. Have fun!

by George, I think he has something. If you look real close you can also see a third let and the shadow of a head by the person sitting in the front. That persons legs don't seem to be in the water either. I think it is Chad. We know that Lisa and Amy are there and the only other person besides Eliza that that could be in the back is Julie or actually Leanne. Both have brownish or maroonish bathing suits.

I agree 100%, Chad is sitting behind Eliza to the left front of that dock, to their right in order is, standing Rory, Lisa, and Amy is behind Lisa, and then a sitting Leann, while Bubba is probably sitting out! Great detective work. I don't think that they are all participating at all, to me it looks as though one person has just returned and the next is getting ready to go. I'd say that it is Rory who is getting ready to go as he seems to be moving forward to the edge and everyone is turning to look at him, to perhaps encourage him and cheer him on. Now, could you please definitively tell us who wins this challenge!?! Ha!

I see a person laying down on his/her side with his/her right had propping up his/her head behind Amy standing and in front of Eliza sitting. It looks like the thighs on that person laying down are male, and if I'm not mistaken if you look at the top leg, it appears the bottom half of it disappears during the last part of the video sequence--hence Chad's prosthesis. I may just be seeing things but I think it is: from left to right as we, the viewers see it is:Leann sitting (I agree with Katie-the yellow buff is around the stomach of that person), Rory standing in front ready to dive (boy he looks fat in this!!), Lisa standing, Amy standing behind Lisa (you can clearly see her aqua bikini), Chad laying down on his side behind Amy with his right hand propping up his head and finally Eliza sitting with a mask. MIA: Bubba, I agree with FP, I think he is off on the beach and Rory is ready to dive.

Katie--what makes you think that Chad is coming back from a dive? couldn't it be Eliza who is sitting down with the mask on that just got back and Rory is getting ready to go. BUT WAIT!!! This is the picture of the platform close up but it is from the vidcap with Chris out by the Lopevi buoy. Did Jiffy say "Both guys have been down a long time" right after this??? If that is the case, then there would be a guy in the water when all 6 of the people are on the platform. Therefore, either Bubba/Chad is in the water at the time and the other is "sitting/laying out" on the platform at the time with his hand propping up his head. Who is more likely to "lounge"??? I agree with VS and KB (see his new thread)--we should try to learn from this week's vidcaps after tonite's episode...I always mean to do it, but then I get caught up in the vidcaps for the week and forget...

You can only see Chad's right arm. Look at the arm of Eliza when it's moving and you can see a larger, more masculine arm appear. Other than his arm, he is totally blocked by who I think is Eliza. Rory, with the motion looks to be approaching the edge of the platform getting ready to jump in and take his turn. All of the girls we see there are turning towards him as though to cheer him on. Leann is clearly sitting crossed legged to the back right on this pic, with her brown bikini on. I propose that this is a picture after Rory has already jumped in the water, and now Eliza is seen standing in Rory's old spot, and Leann has moved from a sitting to a standing position, in her same spot.....this does look like a pic which comes toward the end of the challenge...
I do not see anyone laying down behind the group standing with their head propped up on their arm. What I think is what you are seeing as their arm propping up their head is the support wood beam for the structure that is mounted on the back of the platform that holds up the plates that they are retrieving.
I also wanted to address something else that makes me change my mind regarding Ami as the one that is chosen from the arrival of the natives to Yasur. Over at Sucks, Okie Lokie has a post
here , on page 13 of this thread that shows a gif of Ami and Lisa mouthing something at the same time, and it looks to be that they are both mouthing "Scout". So, I am thinking that after the native comes and says "one chief" to them, that he then asks who the eldest of the tribe is and then the girls respond, "Scout". So, IMO, after seeing this, I think if a woman has a say in the swap it will now be Scout, instead of Ami. I think that the natives probably went over to Lopevi and asked the same question, who is the eldest, and therefore Lea was chosen. What do you all think?

Eliza is smaller and shorter, and she's in the front left side in front of Chad. Look at the gif, look at what would be Eliza's right arm, it is hanging straight down by her side, while another whiter, more muscular, larger arm is starting to come up with the motion of the gif....Eliza's right arm seems to be holding on to the side of the raft, it stays down by her side, it's tanner than the arm that is coming up... The right arm that appears to be coming up is not Eliza's....it's Chad's(or I guess you could say, it could be Travis'as well.) But at any rate, it's definately not her little tan arm. Also look at all of Leann's hair back there, more than Eliza's slicked back straight to her head....
