the ep 5 preview definately confirms that they are in kerala,india ("teams end up waist deep in a 15 foot pile of cow manure")because the earlier newspaper articles said stuff abt them doing some stuff with cows in kerala......but in the newspaper articles it says that 7 teams come to kerala.right now there are 9 teams remaining...with another one eliminated next episode we will be left with 8 teams to go to india.

The newspaper probably knew about the number of teams who did a particular task...the lucky 8th team probably bypasses all remaining tasks, including the 15-foot pile of BS, and goes direct to the pit stop, which can't possibly beat the Taj Mahal from TAR1, can it?

I think the paper noted that there were 8 of something--elephants? on hand and 7 teams came through--as I noted in another thread, either a spare elephant, or 1 team took the fast forward and thus didn't use theirs.
