Amber 13, now 14, now 15. Rob closing in. (boy, this is boring to watch!)
Amber has all words, trying to find mystery word. Tom is at 15; he's caught up. Rob now has all. He has mystery word, Rob wins Immunity! Rupert & Jenna don't look happy.

As soon as Tom said the words 'Swing Vote' he sealed his fate.He didn't pass the loyalty to Romber test. The fact that he even considered himself a swing ( which he was) told them what they needed to know. Is it me? Rob and Amber are playing the best alliance game since Hatch invented it. Some of you may hate it, but I could never figure out why the original Tagi never booted Rich. They blindly followed him, and he took them to the final. Then he won. Sound familier? Rob took the game to the next level, he out hatched Hatch. If he loses it will be a shame.

Rob can win, and he just might pull it off. He has played one of the best games ever.
Of course he deserves to win.
Why not? Because you don't like him? He played them all, but not only that, he kept winning Immunity for his tribe so they never had to vote out their members. He built the best shelter, he kept them fed ( winning rewards).
Since they started playing for individual immunity Rob has kicked it up. So he doesn't deserve to win more than who? Rupert? I love Rupe!
Rupert drowned his tribe with the worst shelter ever, they lost challenges. Rupert screwed over his first alliance in the game ( Rudy). Rob has stayed loyal ( as you can in this game) with his final 4 . Was Lex more worthy?
Who played the game better than Rob?
When it all comes down to it, Lex and Kathy and Shiann would have axed him in a second. So they are nicer people?
They would have done the same if they had any power. Maybe nice guys do win. I think Rob is a nice guy. (edit to say - I wasn't addressing anyone specifically, just everyone who thinks Rob hasn't played the game correctly. No offense intended to anyone)

Well, actually, he didn't stab Shii Ann in the back, or Kathy for that matter, and if he can get Rupert and Jenna on the jury having only promised them F4 (a promise he has now actually kept) that's four votes he might be able to get, just enough to win. I don't think he's played the game to lose, and even though I don't care for some of the things he's done he has managed to control the game this season, he could deservedly win if he makes F2.

I've pretty much gotten beyond putting anything down as something MB wouldn't try to pull, but there are a couple of major problems with the 16 jury scenario. The potential tie has been mentioned. Also, this would have players voting (no matter who the F2 are) on the merits of players they never spent any time in the game with. The biggie, though, would be having that much uncertain unedited time eaten up on live TV; even if MB wanted to try it, CBS might nix it just because of how long it would take. It just doesn't seem feasable. Interesting concept, though.

They were show only tribal council footage. After they watched the last tribal council they cast their votes. It would take a little longer to read 16 votes than 7 but not a whole lot. The tie breaker could go to the person who won the final immunity. This would make the final immunity even more important. No pulling a Hatch and dropping out early. Jeff said this morning on the View that the surprise affects how the game of survivor is played. Drivemycar said that it's a formula show and they're not going to change the formula yesterday when I first brought this up. Jeff's comments lead me to believe that the surprise is going to be a big change to how the game is played which fits with my scenario.

If it were done as you say, that would have MB first letting unedited footage leave his total control, and second facing the prospect of a potential tie vote having to be broken somehow on unedited live television. MB hates ties, and he hates for his secrets to get out of his control. He's foremost about making TV spectacle, so he would take any risk if he can achieve that result. But a very drastic change in Survivor would mean convincing CBS, pitching it to CBS. Hollywood is very predictable, if you have a formula that works you don't mess with it.

Actually this happens to be a thread that Loves and Bashes the Survivor contestants in equal measure.We Love Tom, we Hate Tom. Gee, earlier in this thread you bashed a contestant you didn't like. Most don't dislike Tom. Heck , I'd invite him for dinner. That doesn't mean we won't Bash any and all reality Tv contestants. It is what we do. ( and someday someone is going to offer to pay us for it) And if you can understand that guy, why have you not been translating all season? We could have used that talent. Oh, and while we are on the subject of understanding Tom? How come when he was arguing with Rupert, he all of a sudden spoke clearly? For the first time all season he was totally clear.
Maybe he was faking the the mush mouth idgit all season? No disrepect to people with Southern accents, but I live in the South and I couldn't understand the guy.

Bashing is allowed on the EC threads, in fact sometimes it is encouraged. We've all got different accents, nothing wrong with that, but Big Tom speak is often hilarious and incomprehensible even if you recognize all the words.
