I've read enough accounts from players about how others were different than what was shown to know that, on survivor, you are what the editors want you to be.

Of course production doesn't choose edits beforehand but, once events happen, the editors cut and splice the film in the most entertaining way. It's even written in the contracts that they can make you look stupid.

Note, I put no weight on someone saying that they were cheated by the edit but I put a lot of credibility when someone talks about another person. Jill from Nicaragua, has drawn a portrait of most of the Espada players and they are not as we saw. Dan, for one, she described as hilarious and someone that would never shut up. She said that Yve was quite strategic forming an alliance with Marty and her on the first few days. Apparently, they talked a lot about the game but only Marty was presented as a strategic player.

In Gabon, Sugar was described unanimously as being unpleasant yet we almost saw a sweetheart. Susie was described as someone that never stopped talking yet we only saw her yawn!
