First:Richard is a sleaze bag, and now America's most hated man. Sean said after he was voted off: "I am shocked at the comments that Richard made to the camera."
"I wish that the winner could have spent the whole night alone on the island." Now, let us all attact the FNF and show him what we think about him. This win sucks for Rebock and all the other endorsers who garunteed deals to the winner, who would want to see Richard in a commericial for Reabock. Not me!

>Oh, please! How melodramatic you are -- Rich is simply a player on a television game show. He's certainly done nothing to warrant being the most hated man in America. I think I would reserve that title for murderers, rapists and such. And you're rather naive, as well. What world do you live in that you think Rich is the worst person you can think of? He has no power over people's lives and can't hurt the vast majority of people, unlike the lying, bribe-ridden politicians that that Congress and most of our local political institutions are made up of. It bugs you that some dork on a television show wins a million for telling a few lies when our two Presidential candidates are two of the biggest liars in the news today? Two people who will say or do anything to get elected? Two people who are completely sold-out to corporates and lobby groups and couldn't give a damn about the American people. Why doesn't America give a damn about that? Because America is like the Pagong tribe -- they'll sit around with their head up their wazoo while they're getting screwed over -- and then vote for the same evil lying schmucks all over again. Damn, I've worked at major corporates and investment houses in New York and have seen true *evil* at work -- people being fired, people being sexually assaulted by some of the grossest, most disgusting people ever born -- Rich isn't even close to being as disgusting as they are. And they make a lot more than a million a year. Evil is often rewarded. Rich is in the minor leagues compared to them. At least he adopted a troubled kid and intends to do something good with the money. Do you really think Kelly would have? Get real.

Although I don't believe Rich should be considered one of the most hated men in America he does warrant contempt.
What bothers probably most people and me is he got rewarded for being the best liar and schemer on the Island. Did he play by the rules? You bet. The Survivor people made no rules against what he did so why is everyone upset? Because the game is what the players made of it and he turned it into a figurative blood bath.
The most compelling reason to despise this man is that he represents what is the worst of corporate America, not surprising since he is a corporate trainer. As you said "I've worked at major corporate and investment houses in New York and have seen true *evil* at work " well so have I, and people like Rich are responsible for this attitude. If I was a corporate head and wanted someone to train my people to win at all costs and that back stabbing and duplicity will be rewarded Rich is the right corporate trainer for me.
What disappoints me most, but doesn’t surprise me, is that the jury like most of America rewarded his behavior.
Bottom line: Nice guys finish last.

It was called "strategy" and Rich had the best one. That was the point, be the last one there.... meaning....vote everyone else off. I don't think Rich did anything wrong.. He played the game and he won. I certianly do not think he is hated by most of the country.... I think most people understand the way the game was played.... what did you expect him to do? vote himself off???? No,Rich was a leader, and people followed, and he ended up winning alot of money....GOOD FOR HIM.

Let clear up much of what I said.First: Richard is not America's most hated man, but rather despised by many people. Second: Sean said that he was shocked at the comments Richard was making to the camera (which he didn't see until now), and maybe that is why he said that he wishes the winner would have had to spend 24 hours alone on the island.
