Day 7 Mogo Mogo and the bug bites. Lex is eaten up wif bites and looks terrible. All of em looks like chicken pox! UGLY! Jenna M. already talking about wanting to go home. Jenna goes on a walk on the beach with Kathy commentating about Jenna not drinking water. Saboga...is wanting to work on their camp. Jerri, Colby and Jenna L. build a table. rupert catches a fish (bonus points). Ethan is now trying to fish. Rupert is laughing at Ethan fishing and not being successful! Jenna L. is still wearing that damn feather! Richard is fishing naked...day 7. He is actually wanting a ray and says their huge (the rays). He finds a shark under a ledge and goes after it! He reaches under the rock and grabs its tail! He tried to spear it thru its belly...and the shark gets out from under the rock and grabs Richard's bicep..he pounded the shark's head on the side of a rock til it let go! Richard says that the shark held on for like 30 mins. Colby calls him a STUD!
Kathy tries to hack the shark with the machete and doesn't look like she is having any luck. However, they roast the shark and eat it!

Shot of some sort of monkey getting scratching at bugs...leading into Lex scratching at bug bites. He's complaining about them...and they actualy look really nasty. Everyone's complaining. Jenna says she looks like a freak, and everyone's trying to get Jenna to not scratch because they're gonna scar. Kathy says Jenna wants to go home already: she's not eating, she's won't go in the water, won't take directions. She's a zombie. (Kathy's words, not mine.) Shii Ann and Lex discuss Jenna's bad situation. Now? Over to Saboga. Jerri's trying to build a table, and Jenna and Ethan is helping. Rupert? Is not. He's actually mocking them a little in confessionals. But he instead goes out fishing and they're all happy. Cause he is King Rupert of the Fish, remmber. Ethan goes out to try to catch fish to show he can be as good as Savior Rupert, but he's not having much luck. Or any luck, for that matter. Rupert says that he likes to be a fisherman, and Ethan shouldn't try to compete with him, cause it will hurt his feelings. Ugh. Underwater shot.... And back to Mogo Mogo with Naked Rich with the spear trying to get some rays for dinner. He complains that he doesn't have any swim fins, and he's having a hard time. He seems a little less cocky this week. Dique finds a shark and wants to catch it bad (sounds like the Rupert complex from last season). The producers are trying to make this all dramatic, but it's not really working for me. The shark is caught under some rocks, and Rich can't get it out, despite multiple stabbings. But then the shark comes out and bites Rich on the arm. And it WON'T LET GO. For like 30 minutes. He finally has to bang it against a rock, and bite it, and finally manages to bring it to shore. He tells his story to the tribe and Lex asks "Can you call a gay man a stud?" Ha! Shii Ann is impressed by Richard "God of Fishing." But apparently, he isn't too impressive downstairs. Ha! Rich interviews and says he needs to be the provider. Um Rich? We've been there and done that. But everyone seems happy and thanks him, much to Dique's amusement. Now THERE'S the arrogant king we all know and love.

Looking at Saboga (Still no Chapera? Huh?)They find a box with a large "Home Depot" logo. (Stupid Product Placement.) The box is filled with tools, and they have to make the best shelter as possible in 24 hours. They then get judged. Winner gets supplies to help them sleep and their second key to the box. Second place gets their second key. Third place? Nada. They show the other two tribes with the same box. Tom and Sue fight over how they are going to build their new shelter, and neither side is gonna give up. Tom calls Sue the "bossiest woman he's ever been around" and says that her elevator doesn't go to the top floor. Sue says that her tribe is "too stupid" and hopes they lose to bring them down a notch. She's sitting out because only four people on each tribe can help. Tom and Robfadda take control of making the shelter, and send Alicia and Rob6 off to do menial tasks (which they don't like at all.) Amber interviews that she was flirting with Rob4 as strategy, but she's getting attracted to him. Whee. Rob4 and Alicia are sparring over design, and RobC and Alicia are sparring over the work load (apparently, Rob6? Is a slacker. What a shock.) Over at Saboga, they seem to be working pretty well. One of Rupes 1000 and 1 jobs is working on houses, so it looks like he's taking charge. But heeeere's Jerri! She wants to just do it as easy as possible, and he wants to make it as good as possible so they will win. He wants to dig holes in the ground to create more stability, and she doesn't(she's worried that the rain will wash away the supports). Jenna and Ethan are staying out of it, and Jerri gives up to Rupert. Ethan's thrilled because he thinks that will help him. Over at Mogo Mogo, Colby and Lex are taking charge, saying the plans are all in their head. Well. That would make ME feel really confident. They want to create a crows nest at the top as a "love nest." Ugh. Rich is sitting out, and he makes fun of Shii Ann and JennaM "helping" to build the shelter. They make some suggestions, which Lex and Colby essentially ignore. Shii Ann? Is NOT happy. (Again: what a shock.) JennaM interviews that she's worried about her mom, and she wonders if her mom will be there when the game is over. This? Is EMB using the sledgehammer of foreshadowing. Jenna's wondering if she ever should have done this again, with her mom being sick. (Jenna, hon? No. No you shouldn't have.) Back at Saboga, they're working through the night because Rupert is "ambitious" according to Ethan. They hit a snag when they find a tree trunk in the hole they were digging. Now everyone's pointing fingers and arguing. Apparently, Rupert has "gone mad" trying to fix it.

Jiffy shows up to Mogo Mogo with a contractor from Panama to judge the shelter. They show him around, and demonstrate their 'balcony' with the 'ocean view.' The contractor tries to break everything apart, pissing Colby off. But apparently, he can't do it. Everyone's pretty happy about this. He gives the shelter high marks, and Lex tries to bribe him. (Not a bad strategy.)Next stop Chapera. Looks like they have a swing, large checkerboard and everything. Must be nice to have a construction guy, huh? Looks like he likes this one too. Over to Saboga. They have a gutter system to collect water. The contractor did manage to find every lose board, though, and he didn't look that impressed. Rupert is trying, in vain, to convince the contractor that the shelter is good, but it looks like the contractor isn't buying it. Looks like the tribes now have to wait for tree mail or air supplies to know if they won. After Jiffy and the contractor walked away, the contractor started pointing all the flaws in the design. Looks like Saboga loses. Rupert? Looks depressed. Jiffy radios to the chopper who the winner is...but the producers edit the name out. It's not Saboga (duh). Rupert accept the blame for them losing, and apologizes to everyone. They show both Mogo Mogo and Chapera thinking that they may have won...but it's Chapera and their swing. And there was much rejoicing at Chapera, and much bitterness at Mogo Mogo. Alicia says it's their happiest moment ever. They open up the crate to find matresses, a tarp, blankets, pillows, wine, lanterns...all sorts of good stuff. Robfadda wants to open up the wine in true Robfadda fashion. Dique goes to the tree mail and finds the map to the second key. He's happy with that since "rice is what's important." He wasn't so happy about getting rice last week...worried, oh God of Fishing? At Chapera, everyone's really mellow thanks to too much wine and not enough food. Amber tries to kiss Robfadda, and he says that the wine is a little too strong. He says that he and Amber both think they are playing each other. No kidding, Rob. Really?

PMogo Mogo: Pretty boy probst (thanks Rob M. for that nick) comes ashore with a licensed expert of something.
Describes their tree house, gives them a tour, and the expert starts pulling stuff down to see how sturdy it is. He likes it. Chapera: Has built a swing. They have a checkerboard. SOrry this went by really fast. Hopefully Exi caught more of the mumbling then I did. Saboga: Rupert is giving the tour. Not as impressive as the other two. (IMHO)
RUpert: I am trying like crazy to talk to him.
Probst: If you get a crate from the sky, you win. If you get Rice and something? you came in second. Probst: You wouldn't want to live here, would you? bwahaha.
Expert: No way. It's dangerous. Saboga: Hears the plane flying on by. Nothing drops from the sky. Jenna: Tomorrow really matters Mogo: Kathy: It's da plane, da plane. Much debate on if it's there beach or not. They drop it on Chapera. But lex still thinks it could be there
It passes them by.
Chapera: Dancing and shouting.
Alicia: It's a beautiful moment. It's the happiest moment ever.
They open the box, rice, wine (now we know how the romance happens)
Back on Mogo: Lex: They better have a 3 story building...they get a clue for Rice. CHapera: Drinking the wine. Sue doesn't join in. Much ahhing. Rob: Amber wanted kiss me in front of everyone.
Amber: If you're going to kiss me, do it now.
Rob: She thinks she's playing me, I think I'm playing her. We have an alliance, but there can only be one winner. Finally a commerical...uck. It's a home depot ad.

We're at Mogo Mogo, and it's raining. Hard. Lighting and everything. Looks like everyone is soaked, and they give us a bunch of night shots of Jenna looking worried.On to Day 9, as they stay on Mogo Mog, and everyone wakes up looking miserable, because the shelter didn't work too well in the rain. Then WHAT.IS.THE.POINT.OF.A.SHELTER?? Jenna looks really miserable, and doesn't want to do anything. They keep showing a bird flying with shots of Jenna. (Nice symbolism.) She has decided to quit, before even hearing that her mom had died. They look a little shocked. Jenna says that she couldn't forgive herself if something happened to her mom while she was out playing a game. Kathy says that Jenna shouldn't even be here. (Apparently her mom was back in a cancer rehab home. WHY IN GOD'S NAME DID SHE EVER LEAVE? Just askin'.) Looks like everyone is supportive, but Colby doesn't want her to go, because they're strongest if all 6 are in the tribe. THey all come to an apparent IC, and Rich is sad at Rudy being gone. Actually...looks like a real IC. What the heck? He asks everyone about the bug bites. Mogo Mogo volunteers that they have some emotional issues, and Jenna breaks down and quits in front of everyone. Everyone looks a little sad. Jenna says that she loves this game, but her family is more important. JP asks JennaM if she's had any updates on her mom, and she says no, but she thinks she made a bad call coming in the first place, and she wants to be back if something happens. Alicia says that family is most important, and said she never would have come out if her mom was sick. Amber is crying and goes to give JennaM a hug. JP is being tough and asking whether she is giving up because she can't handle the conditions. She says no, and Robfadda says that they shouldn't second guess her motivations and they should let her go. Rupert says he feels bad, but quitting is hard. Tom says that he wouldn't have come out either, and JP says thate veryone would make different decisions. Jiffy cancels the IC, and gives Chapera and Saboga a free pass, and they won't have an official TC. JP asks if Jenna can make it to TC. She says no, and JP says OK. He brings in a boat right away, and Jenna hugs everyone goodbye (including everyone on other tribes...and a nice long one for Ethan) as some sad Enya-esque music plays. She gets on the boat and heads for home. Everyone seems very downtrodden now...and this music isn't doing much for my mood, either. They show a message that Jenna rushed to her mom's bedside, and she died eight days later. Then? Straight to credits. Nice ending. Very respectful.

I think her mom probably told her to, and hid how sick she really was. When my Grandma had Cancer and died, we were all surprised at how fast she went. Then we found out from the doctors that she was much, much, much sicker then she ever let on to us.

You know Rupert definitely has been made America's sweetheart, that is fine. I take it with a shrug and an I don't really care. Each season one is a villian one is a hero, it was his turn, hurray.As for Jenna, yes sorry her mom was ill, sorry that she died, I have been through it myself. Which is why I can say with absolute certainty, if when my mother was ill and I had a chance to go back to Survivor, there would be no question in my mind what I would do. In my opinion, Alica (Kathy too in confessional) said what many out there (including Jeff) was thinking. Why the hell did Jenna M. even come out? Was it the right choice by her at the time when she quit? Of course! Should she had ever been out there? Hell no. The fact that she didn't go up to some cameraman and say, "I want to talk to Mark or Jeff now to get me off this island," and instead goes to an Immunity Challenge and waits until Jeff calls on her to come out and say she quits just shows me how much of a drama queen she really is. As for Rupert, his mindset has always been you can't quit the game. Was it tasteless to say Jenna shouldn't quit? Probably, but that is how Rupert is. Remember he was also fresh off from another season of someone quitting. Even Tom said that there is nothing that would make him quit, but then anything coming out of Tom's mouth is hard to understand and often forgotten quickly. Either way, I'm sure we'll get to see more of Rupert's mistakes and real attitude. In the end if there is someone I'm upset at, it is Jenna, not Rupert, Tom or Alicia. She should have never been out there. Fweep

...PROBABLY???? What's wrong with you? It shows a complete lack of class on Rupert's part as well as a glimpse into his totally self important self involved world. It doesn't matter whether she should've been there or not, we all know that she shouldn't have. So what. She knew she made a mistake going and I'm sure that made her feel even worse than she felt just for being there (as Kathy pointed out at the IC). That doesn't make it okay to make her feel even worse. Only an a-hole would kick someone when they're down like that. Just like RobM said, just try and appreciate the fact that her mom is dying and support her decision. How hard would that have been? Also, don't give me that crap about "rupert having to go through someone quitting before" Oh, I'm sure that was really hard on Rupert. Was Rupert even on that tribe??? And to compare Osten (who quit cause he's a pvssy) to Jenna (who's already won this friggen game and has nothing to prove to anyone) is a complete joke. Rupert and his top 7 finish has no business judging or talking crap to someone who earned a million dollars playing this game.

Without a doubt the best ep of Survivor I've ever seen!First off, the guy I hate the most FINALLY gets to show his true colors and look like a total idiot AND an @sshole! And to top it off, Jerri (who I actually like alot since postS2) gets to be teh one to call him out on it. Then to make matters even better, my all time favorite Survivor gets to be the star of the show. The Shapiro "hut" is nicer than my friggen apartment! And to top it all off, Rupert AGAIN gets to look like a completely classless a-hole when he basically calls Jenna out for leaving the game to be with her dying mother. My mouth almost hit the ground listening to him, especially knowing that her mom would die a week later. But, what made it even greater for me was hearing Robfather once again be the hero of the episode for saying the absolute right thing at the Immunity challenge. Hey Rupert, in case you didn't know it, Jenna's got a million reasons already why you can go fvck yourself!
And, I can't believe I almost forgot the King of Survivor showing Rupert what it means to be a REAL fisherman. That was one of the best if not the best non-game related bit in Survivor history!
BEST. EPISODE. EVER.
P.S. I was so inspired by that ep I think I might have to summarize. Apologies in advance to whatever sap is already signed up to do this week.

Well, it was pretty clear Rob6 isn't fitting in too well. And didn't Robamber and Alicia look all cozy in their drunken stupor. Seems MB is finally taking a page out of the BB handbook. You want sex? Give 'em booze. Do I have this right? Jenna6 left on Day 9 so IC and TC were cancelled and the next TC is Day 12? One final note for those who care, sleek28 said we'd have a symbolic TC to mark Jenna's exit from the game. Unlike the Rupert/Rudy betrayal comment in E2, this is a clear "miss' and not open to interpretation. Or is it....

Don't think Rob6 is a total fraud . . . look at who he had to play with. IMHO, the members of the Survivor Amazon tribe were not the best players this game has seen. We just lost Jenna (understandibly, of course), but her runner up knife boy was no surivivor competitor in my book. Deena may have been a playa, but S6 was all about ##### and a$$ and very little about the game. So Rob6 was the best of a bad lot. Now, the Robfadda, well, in S4, he was a contender from the get go. I think he and Hunter were a bad mix, and he had a plan. The player taken out 10th (right before the jury) is almost always the biggest threat to the remainder. If RobM had been the alpha guy from the start at Maraamu, I think we would've seen a different season. Just watch him go now. This is the best season ever! (And if you ask my friends, I'm not really known for hyperbole).

I wonder about the symbolic Tribal Council. From Jeff's comments, it seems like sleek is discredited. However, when Skupin got injured in the Outback and got removed from the game, the remaining tribe members still had to go to Tribal Council and participate in a symbolic Tribal Council. So, despite Jeff's comments, did Mogo Mogo still make the trek after Jenna left? Sleek's story was fishy to begin with and is getting more tenuous by the week. But, it looks like we have to wait until the fifth episode before the final nail gets put in the coffin.

to Ex1, Bucky and others for the lowdown on EP3.Freaky that Jenna had a gut feeling that she sould be with her mom. Sometimes it pays to follow your intuition and not just logic. Good to see Shakes so excited by this best.ever episode. Its probably a little paradoxical; Rupe is painted as only having one persona by MB, and newbies like myself see little of Shakes other emotions. Both of course are worshipped in their own right. Sleek could have some difficulty with the symbolic TC thing, interesting that JP asked Jenna if she wanted a TC exit. Methinks the editing showed this as a on the spot response. In all likelyhood it was probably discussed and agreed over several days. For me Sleek is still legitimate with boots 5 to 9 being the proof of the pudding. Cheers

Richard's response to Rudy being gone was one of surprise and upset. He honored Rudy with his comments, but my take is that he would have loved it if Rudy had made the merge so they could recreate their alliance. Richard is a master gamesman -- he's not going to show real distress. His surprise at Rudy's demise is the most we'll catch him off guard this game.

I did not find much spoiler value in any. One video was longer versions of ShiAnns, Alicia's and Jenna L's takes on Jenna M quitting. Summary, ShiAnn supported Jenna M, thought Alicia's comments at the non-IC were in bad taste. Alica elaborated on her non-IC comments about Jenna M quitting (summary Jenna M should not have come). Jenna L supports Jenna M's decision to come. Another video was Saboga's bad night with the rain. I am assuming it is the same night that was shown that Mogo Moga had a hard time with. Wet, cold, tired. Spoiler-wise, is that what we saw on the preview for E4...? Jerri complaining after a bad night? Maybe there is some leeway in episode to episode airing of specific days. Another video shows 75% the same thing as the show did with Mogo Mogo trying to build the shelter. The only thing that appeared to be new is that Colby and Lex seem to be buddies because of the experience. A second part to the above video is a short clip of Chapera finding their second key using the map given. Nothing special except that Tom doesn't like caves. The last video is split between Probst and Burnett. Probst shows the tribal council area off. Burnett talks a little about all players supposedly before the game has begun.
