"my conversation with clay jordan"
This past summer I met Clay Jordan from Thailand at his restaurant Jordan's in West Monroe, Louisiana. He told my family and I that he had been contacted to be on ASS, and in fact he was fed exing the papers to them that week. He said they couldn't tell him for sure, but he was almost positive he was going. He also said that Brian (the winner) had called him wondering if he had heard anything b/c noone had contacted him yet. (thought that was funny.) so I was wondering if the list of the players is definetly correct or is it possible others are on it not listed yet. (i'm pretty sure it's correct, just wishful thinking)This is my first message here. I browse all the time, and I finally decided to post.

First, welcome out of "lurkerland"!!

Wasn't it Brian who snubbed the S6 show? Maybe MB sent out stuff to all the "possibles" and chose not to those he didn't want. I liked Clay more than most, but I think it's wishful thinking on his part...Big Tom was a lot more popular person for the redneck quota.

2. "yes"
according to Helen, Brian hadn't really done any Survivor stuff once the show was over. She and Clay, however, are friendly and spent time together in NYC during the finale for S6.

Miscellaneous Ramblings
--if there's money involved, I bet Brian shows up, though!

3. "RE: yes"
I think that because of the rumored problems between Brian and his wife that were a subject of some discussion at the time, Brian had more important things to do than do a lot of Survivor related stuff. With it only having been a year since they showed S5, and with those rumors having been out there, it's no surprise Brian hasn't been around Survivor. Plus his style of playing the game would probably not fool experienced players who saw the S5 shows, so he might have figured he'd be an early boot on the ASS and might not have wanted to bother.
