I think it has been scripted and contrived from the beginning of this season. Several reasons -

1.) the producers knew early on that the show was in danger of not being picked up again for another season - sorry but they know this very early on and I won't go into what has been discussed on other threads...

2.) We know they have two soap opera writers in charge of the show at this time.

I think my daughter could write a better 'script' for "daytime reality has never been so real" drama in her 2nd grade class. The same daughter, who at home sick one afternoon and caught my SO show, said cynically, "does this show really help anyone?"

Back to Christie. The entire 5K is being run by Rhonda and her personal secretary. They just need Christie to walk on set, stand by her mark, repeat her scripted lines and wring her hands. Christie - who had a pre-existing relationship with Rhonda, was featured in Rhonda's new book, AND who is doing the talk circuit with Rhonda - is a Set-Up.

Gag I'm beginning to really hate this show. I'm glad we have less then 10 days of this drivel.
