Dougbie 29 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Beauty Pageant Celebrity Judge" 12-05-03, 01:24 PM (EST) "The real Auto Sponsor for Survivor VII" I originally posted this on the fanatics’ form, and Bebo kindly suggested that this would be better suited for the speculation arena, so here I go again I have been a huge follower of Survivor since Pulau Tiga, and still feel that the first episode will always be the best. One thing that has been entertaining for me with each series is to try and guess what car is the vehicle that the survivors will be competing for in the reward challenge toward the end. From the days since Survivor I it has been fairly easy to identify the car based on the commercials that air during each episode. The company that claims to be the official sponsor of Survivor is usually the one to be providing the car. As for Survivor VII, I have been leaning to the idea that this new GMC SUV with the retractable roof and power “middle” window is the car for this season. The quote for the CBS website helps, "the Envoy XUV is currently employed as the Official Sponsor Vehicle of SURVIVOR: PEARL ISLANDS." But during last night’s episode there was a Saturn commercial stating that they are the official sponsors for Survivor (one of the better Saturn commercials I’ve seen--all the other drivers talking to the lady in her Saturn). Am I missing something here, or did I just assume too much? I know that Saturn has been the car in the past, and that Saturn is a GM company. GMC cars have rotated in and out in the past (The Avalanche and the Trailblazer). The car sponsor usually likes to feature a new model, so that is why I was leaning toward the GMC. If you have any ideas I’d love to here them. Also, who do you think will win the car? What episode will the challenge happen in? Will there be any joyrides down the beach? Maybe Jon could use it to carry his grandmother’s casket in.(sorry) Any way, I’m looking forward to your comments, Thanks Doug B,-->DougB,-->Dougbie Survivor -- The stupidest show that I LOVE to watch   Top

But will the celebration last? The only two that could remotely fit this description is John and Burton. If Burton wins the reward challenge (which is a likely possibility) that means that most likely he will be winning the new SUV since this is the episode for it to happen. The feast part is that he is told he can take one person with him to enjoy it, so he picks John to strategize without chance of being overheard. "Will the celebration last" seems an ominous foreshadowing of a Burton boot via mutiny from the ladies (spearheaded by Lill). The person that wins the vehicle is almost always one of the next boots.   Top

As for who wins the car, if the rumors are true that Darrah's driving a new H2, then it's probably not her. After all, why buy a new car if you're getting one as soon as the show wraps. -P   Top

You are right Volcanic, I knew KO came home with a car, but had forgotten that it was because they gave them each a car at the end. Sean did win the car, and then promptly got booted F5. Still, nobody that has won that final RC has gone on to win survivor. Looks like the trend will continue here with Burton winning the car and then getting the boot at F5 or maybe at F3 (though I'm leaning toward his boot this week)   Top

True, but maybe if Brian had won the car, he may have been booted prior to finishing F1??? It could very well have a lot to do with the target painted on you after winning a vehicle, aw they don't need the million anymore, or gee they are a bigger threat then I thought. I remember at the time of S5 thinking that maybe Brian wanted to throw buddy Ted a car cause he knew he was about to backstab him out of the game. Just one of those strange phenomenons, like the person that wins the final IC not winning the title of Survivor. (until S6)   Top
