You could be right about the contestants not having any talent, but it's really hard to tell with the challenges they have been given. We've all seen designers on HGTV shows take a customers favorite object and design a space around it, but to create a design from a musical instrument, clothing outfit, or a flower and have to incorporate that into an overall design with 4 or 5 other people designing for a different object is ridiculous.Even the white room challenge was messed up by having them design it for one of the other contestants and then have the other contestant rate the room. Nina took full advantage of the weakness of that plan. What we need is some real customers for the designers to design for. Give them the chance to really show if they have any talent. I'm enjoying The Next Food Network Star a lots more than Design Star this year. The challenges are real and the judges appear to have a good idea of what a contestant would need to become star of a show.
