But look what it took to accomplish that. Or, just as much to the point, look who it took.Y'know, it was honestly nice to see all of them again -- with one exception, Russell. (I would have appreciated a What They're Doing Now segment, but no such luck.) But what this did was prove why this series can't have an All-Stars season. No-Stars, yes: bring back early eliminations plus never-got-its and see how they do. The ratings shouldn't fall more than eighty percent in two weeks. But All-Stars? Competent cooks working together to make good food and send Gordon to a state of happiness he's never known? Boring. The network would never stand for it. And Gordon would never go back. Oh, and next season? The winner gets the other black jacket.
