"What Not to Wear"
Has anyone seen TLC's "What Not to Wear"? I watched it last night and I have to say it's about the worst.show.ever.

There's 2 self-proclaimed "fashion experts" who give some poor unsuspecting schmuck a fashion makeover. Last night there was this women from Boston- she kind of reminded me of a mild-mannered Carla from Cheers. Anyway- her supposed "friends" from work signed her up for a fashion make over because they thought she was a slob. The 2 hosts of the show spent the entire show being rude and condecending (sp?) towards her. The woman herself was kind of funny.

At the end her supposed friends were disappointed that she didn't let them cut her hair, but she did get some new clothes.

Yuck- I hated this show! And the male host- I don't know his name- he looked awful to me. His hair was nasty and his clothes were nothing special.

Anyone else see this? I'll never watch it again.

I've seen three of these now and don't really have a strong feeling about it, one way or another. Another woman, named Carrie, REALLY fought back against the fashion police, so that was entertaining, in a I don't have anything better to do right now so I'm watching this stupid show kinda way.

If you want to see rude, condescending, fashion know-it-alls, watch the BBC original. Gawd! But it truly is more fun that way.

Does TLC have any "original" programming?

I've only seen this show twice. I just stumbled upon it too. The worst part would be the way they go through your present wardrobe and throw things out. These people didn't ask to be on this show. Their friends or family did. Can't say I would be too pleased to have a couple know-it-alls throwing out my clothes.
