"Big Brother HOH Blunder #2 Marvin Lost (Cowboy vs. Karen rematch?)"
Well you would think that after the other HOH blunder a few weeks ago (when they let Natalie stay in the HOH competition after answering a questions wrong) that they would pay closer attention to future competitions. Well apparently not! I have watched the instant slow motion replay on my Tivo about 5 times and although Karen's ball enters the hole after Marvin's, Karen's ball drops first while Marvin's ball just swooshes aroung the rim of the cup. Accordig to Julie Chen, the first one to the bottom of the tube is the winner, not the first one in the cup!

This blunder will effect the outcome of the game and it must be corrected immediatly!

They let Marvin into the HOH room last night so it appears that the producers have decided not to fix their mistake. Perhaps Jule (the clueless wonder) Chen screwed up when she explained the rules. Either way, someone f'd it up and I demand a rematch!

Pffft...it's no big deal. Karen doesn't want to be HOH, it'd mess up her UTR plan. And CB couldn't beat her anyway.

I think what they need to do to fix their mistake would be if Karen is still in the house next week they need to design the next HOH competition so that she has a better shot of winning than everyone else. She is a portrait artist so maybe they could have them draw pictures and who ever wins becomes HOH. I hope to see Karen as HOH at least once that would be an interesting week.

yep, we tvo'd it and watched over and over in slo me. In fact, we couldn't see sweet Marvin's ball drop at all on that particular shot. I agree, however, that Karen doesn't want HOH. I would LOVE to see her in that position, but I don't think she wants to win anything at this point. If they did design a HOH comp for her, it would be interesting to see what would happen.

In a perfect world, it would be corrected. However, refs make mistakes all the time, and it's considered part of the game.

Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

Not in a game show, which Big Brother is. I believe the Feds (perhaps through the FCC) supervise the rules of game shows (this came out of the game show scandals of the 1950's). I know that when I was on a couple of game shows, we (the contestants) were closely monitored and everything was controlled (heck, we couldn't even go to the bathroom unescorted.. or in pairs).

This is for big money and they cannot let this slip by without CBS being punished/fined.

Somebody's gotta protest it first. They haven't, so it stands and nobody's even worried about it but people here on SB.

I wouldn't say we're worried, I don't think anyone here is losing sleep over it. It is just a major screw up that "will" changes the outcome of the game. Somehow, someway the boneheads at CBS need to correct it.

What the players want is irrelevant! If Karen want to throw the competition and let Cowboy win then that is what should happen. It is just ignorance to argue that Karen would not have beaten Cowboy anyways, so let's not change anything.

Pretend that the outcome was that the next evicted person goes in front of a firing squad and gets executed. What do you think they should do, just let it go and let Marvin remain HOH? Yes it's just a game, and yes Marvin winning might give CBS better ratings, but this is just a crock! I actually wanted Marvin to win but I do not want the rest of the show to be determined by a mistake. After all, this is not the Superbowl or the Olympics, they can go back and correct their mistake.

Remember the old tag line at the end of game show credits... "portions of this show has been edited..." Granted this was a live show, but something can be done on Tuesdays' broadcast to address this. Remember, this is not a competition (athletic or otherwise) that CBS can let this slide by.. this is a game show with strict rules to abide to. If they (CBS) lets this slide through, anyone on that show can sue CBS for altering the results to one player's advantage.
