Interesting, and at this point, not an unreasonable boot order.
Edited to clarify that the boot order would be bottom up, of course.  We really do have guidelines here. Believe it or not, the Guidelines make things more fun. Really.

For the record (depending on whose record you are relying on)RE: Family RC Snewser point this out (Sandra's husband I presume) Marcus did go. They all came back together, including Rupert's wife. So I believe that while Snewser does believe Rupert would be going around this time, the 411 flight information is NOT the reason. Let's face it, as soon as Rupert loses that lovely immunity sword, Jon is going to pounce. If he wins IC this week, Jon has to hold back (and I'm reminding myself again that only Jon/Burton focused on Rupert and how much Burton is playing Jon or not we don't know) With Ryan O. gone this week and possibly Burton then winning next week's IC OR even if he doesn't, Jon is going to see a shot and take it. He only needs four other people to get rid of Rupert and at this point, Christa is the only person out there IMO who is true blue to Rupert. Lillian will do what Burton says, Tijuana/Darrah will do anything to save themselves and if Burton is full of hooey and has no problem jerking over Rupert OR it is made clear to him that either he votes Rupert out OR the votes are going his way, there is your four even without Sandra or Christa having any involvement. Darrah being the final two person is easily explained when you look at everyone else out there. Lillian and Burton are both ghosts and that fact alone can potentially swing a vote away from them. Tijuana and Sandra will probably open their mouths at the wrong moment, Christa was too close to Rupert and Jon's antics are only sufficient for so long. The best way in that mix of personalities is to tread softly and let the others piss on each other.

LAST EDITED ON 11-10-03 AT 05:39 PM (EST)completely agree BR, and you can take that for all the survivor seasons so far. i think the notion that women are somehow inherently better at these challenges is a myth (that doesn't mean they are necessarily worse, however) S1 - Kelly won because Rich threw it and Rudy had a brain fart (though she very likely could have beaten either one of them) S2- Colby won S3 - Thong Granny won because Ethan pulled a Rudy and Lex was sick S4 - only women competed (although any one of them likely would have beaten Pappy) S5 - Brian won S6 - Jenna won because Matt threw it ala Rich so to say a woman has an advantage (especially an older woman such as Lillian and a younger woman like Darrah, who, as I exposed in the Darrah bash on Bashers, is NOT all that much of a challenge threat, and over a strong male comeptitor like Burton (or Colby, or Brian) is specious if you are basing that argument only on past examples edit to say if the two women pull Jon along to F3, however, it would be fairly analogous to the S1 or 4 examples, where the (potential, in the case of S4) male competition simply was not very strong

I'd even offer to start it, but I've got a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning and won't be able to post early.I have a couple of suggestions for the person who does start it - 1) A descriptive post title, such as "E8: Picks from Other Sites." 2)In your post, try and make it clear that new thread is for picks only, and link back to this one for discussion. Does that sound like a reasonable way to keep things neat and tidy, while giving one-stop shoppers an easy way to find out the picks from other sites? We really do have guidelines here. Believe it or not, the Guidelines make things more fun. Really.

Edited to add this: Maybe Snewser is just playing with us all. He may change his pick before 8 p.m. to the obvious but boring Ryan.

The only information that had been floating around there about this was from Quartzeye/Wezzie's information where they heard that an older woman who was leader of her boat and strongest returned two times to that town to buy things for her tribes and people pointed at Lillian and Trish's picture and that it was said she got back in the game a couple of times. Other than that, I can't remember anything. Also interesting MB interview Q: Is this the last we've seen of the outcasts after this episode? MB: Umm, last seen of the outcasts? *mumble* The two coming back in are no longer outcasts. Q: I'm talking about the tribe, outcast tribe. Are people voted out of the show now, gone for good... not coming back, not showing up except maybe in the jury later. Is the outcast tribe no more in the coming weeks... MB: Yes, the two of them come back in. They join their same tribes(?) and the other 4 are no longer in. Q: OK, what about those voted out from here on out. MB: Long pause. That's a funny odd question. Part of what makes the show so good is that it's unpredictable TV. If you watch Friends, Joey is not going to get killed off. Me telling you that, I'm guaranteeing what will or what happen. The outcasts are gone after this. Q: But all bets are off for anyone voted out from here on out? MB: Correct. Not that it really says anything but it certainly doesn't sound like he isn't saying anything either

You know BR, before the first resurrection I had picked up on the new way Jiffy is wording his goodbyes to the players this season when he reads the final vote that bannishes them: (In the past he would say- "the 2nd person voted out of the Marquesas is...")This season he has said- "The 1st person voted out of the Morgan tribe is...", "The 3rd person voted out of the Drake tribe is..." etc, and then of course what he said to Osten was "Per your wishes, go home." Since the GT re-entered the game, I would have expected him to now change his words back to the usual "The 8th player to be voted out of the Pearl Islands is..." But he hasn't, he has still been saying "The nth person to be voted out of the tribe is..." (only difference is now he says tribe and not Morgan or Drake) I did notice this earlier, but it didn't make sense to me that there would be another resurrection, but now I am not so sure. It may very well include only the recent bootees of Shawn, Andrew, and Lill (if in fact she goes tonight), and could explain how Rhino is truly the victim of a twist if they come back next week. We also never saw the "superwoman" come back into the game and win back to back challenges either. Plus if the Lill F2 and family visit spoilers are correct, this is getting to be hard to keep track of...

Burton did promise not to lie to her, but he didn't promise not to vote for her. And this could also be a "loyalty test" by the other Drakes. Burton would have no problems voting for Ryan, since that's one more IC threat out of the way. But would he have an issue with voting against his fellow Outcast? Possible scenarios:1. The Drakes don't need Lil's vote to continue a pagonging. Besides, she's a freakin' Outcast. Sandra tells Darrah and Tijuana that they're voting for Lil and asks, "Do you want to join us?" The Morgan 3, knowing they don't have enough votes to change things even if they wanted to, enjoy the opportunity to get revenge on her and make it an absolute slaughter, 8-1. Lil probably votes for Ryan, thinking that a pagonging is going on, but not realizing she's pagonged first. 2. Drake is not as unified as they appear. Jon fufills the statement that he would jump to the Morgans. What isn't expected is that he brings Sandra and/or Christa (or even both) along with him (I'll say Sandra, since she made her comment about joining them to the Morgan women). Instead of a women's alliance, the alliance is Morgan, Jon, and Sandra. As a sign of good faith to their new Morgan allies, they offer Lil's head on a platter, in exchange for a promise to vote out Rupert in the next TC if he doesn't win immunity. Lil is voted out 5-4, with the other 4 voting for Ryan in a strict pagong tradition. But then, does Lil come back thanks to a Ryan injury? Something has to explain her husband's name on the family reward challenge list, unless Ryan has no friends and family of his own and had to borrow. We really do have guidelines here. Believe it or not, the Guidelines make things more fun. Really.

although i'm still committed to rhino's departure this evening, i thought i'd bring up a couple of interesting spoilers (previous thought debunked) that might come into play if, indeed, there are more possible returns-from-the-dead:* the infamous yahoo spoiler, that listed the "stars" of S7 as lil, rupert, sandra, jon, tijuana, darrah, christs, rhino, and shawn * the spoiler that shawn and jon are the "last to fly out of condadora" maybe lil and shawn come back and burton leaves?! or maybe snewser is pretty satisfied with his flawless record for the season, and thought he'd just f--k with our heads, and in honor of the cancelled CBS miniseries, "take one for the gipper". i'm really hoping this is the case, because i'm still having a hard time coming to terms with "the twist" the first time around. if lil leaves and comes back again, i might have to start watching scrubs on thursday evenings.
