43. "RE: Jodi is a big FAT liar!"
Quote: "1. that the night she went out she didn't have any choices because it was a burger joint. Well, not going is a choice. Plus, I have eaten many a hamburger or turkey burger without the bun and added extra veggies. If she were willing to be slightly organized and plan then she could have a piece of fruit, dried fruit, almonds, or a protein bar in her purse to get her through situations just like that."
I couldn't agree more!!!! That was just one big huge excuse. You could tell by the look on the nutrionalist face, that she too thought Jodi is not ready for this. As long as she has that attitude she'll never lose the weight. I did the Atkins diet and I too was "thrown" into some fast food situations. I just did the same thing you did, Bugaloo. I took the bread off the burger and instead of fries I had a salad. And oh yes, I remember always having a few low carb bars in my purse at all times. Just in case I got hungry, I'd have a healthy alternative ready. It worked well, I lost the weight, and continue to maintain to this day. You can't go on a "diet" you have to change the way you eat, forever. It's true when you go on any low carb way of eating you do stop craving the sugar, and starches, and pretty quickly actually.
"Be not afraid of changing slowly; be afraid only of standing still."
