Piers has a personal connection to his charity as well. And there is nothing wrong with any of the celebrities choosing charities that affect them.
I wonder how Americans would have reacted here if his charity had been one that worked with servicemen/women from Britian instead of the US. Or if was a requirement that they choose a US based organization.
