PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

I am new to this board and have been watching the show since the very first season. I don't know about anyone else but I have learned so much about myself and other people just watching this TV show! My real father isn't around, my mom's ex-husband (whom I knew as Dad) abused me, my sister died in a car accident only 3 years ago, and I'm just now realizing that those were all fairly bad experiences. Maybe not the worst, but fairly bad none the less. This show made me understand some of the feelings I was having about myself and others too. This may not matter to very many people, but I feel better by saying all of this.

Thanks for posting. I love the show for the same reasons...not only the things i've learned about myself and know that i'm not alone in the feelings, but the importance of celebrating that person that got us through those hard times and not just be someone who had to get through it or over it. the icing on the cake is the discussion boards when the viewpoints of other fans takes me that much further into my own understanding.

I tell my friends all the time they are waisting their money, when there is great free therapy everyday on tv. I don't have exactly the same issues as the women last season or this but I have learned so much from them. Last season Kim and Layne were big teachers for me and this season I am realizing things about myself a little bit in each of them, well, except for Lisa, my jury is still out on her. I went to a seminar this week with Rhonda and she is way awesome. Totally living her talk, very powerful and inspiring to be around.

Ditto on it all. I see myself in everyone and a day doesn't go by that I don't get triggered or receive an insight from someone on the show. This season seems really strained to me though. I wonder if it's because they tossed Tess so easily last season. The ladies seem to be a little stilted in their conversations with each other.

I'v watch SO since season one and the show has help me a lot. I look forward to seeing Jessica's assignments. My mom past away on October 31,2001 and I still can't seem to get a handle on things. I miss her soooo much! I hope the show continue to help you.
