PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."
Well said. I am close friends with GB patients and you are right on. I started the GPS process a year ago then chicken'd out. I've tried Weight Watchers (for the 100th) time and Curves since then and I've actually gained a few pounds. I am going to start the process again.
In high school I was an athlete (even at 150 lbs). I've always looked like I weigh less than I acutally do. I am not lazy and am not an out of control eating machine. I believe genetics play a big part of my issue.
I try to do the work.... it just never lasts. I need a head start with the GBS. I am willing to do the exercise and post surgery care. I want to be active again. The surgery will allow me to finish the race.
