"Trivia, maybe sort of off-topic but......"
In the Rocky Sound Track Original Rocky 1.

There is a song on Track 4 called:

Reflections.
This is a very relaxed, very mellow piece. The music is like elevator music, non-descript, the melody moving around, but not going anywhere. A seven note guitar rhythm overlaid with keyboard synthesizer keeps things semi-interesting. There are bongos in the background for urban flavor. The music sounds more like a tame porn groove.

I have heard that it was also done by the O'Jays can any one confirm this and or know the name of the alternate version? I had a tape many years ago and as far as I remember it was on a tape called The O'Jays but I dont remeber the name.
Any gurus here? Please help. It is a great piece of work and awesome music to make love to. Trust I have used it.

Anyone know? I am not looking for the one on the Rocky Album.

I know what song you're talking about.
I didn't know that the O'Jays had anything to do with it, or
had their version of this jam.

In the movie, only the first part of the song can be heard.
You have to listen to the album to hear the whole thing.
It was funny, cuz' I didn't listen to the soundtrack until many, many years after it came out and when I hear the rest of
the song I was like, "That sh*t's freakin' tight!"

It is a nice, mellow piece of work. I love the synths. It's kind of like "Summer Madness", which incidentally is also in the movie! It didn't make the soundtrack, but that's a helluva love-making/kick back & relax/ & "puff one" song, too.

Yeah, it'd be nice to know of an alternative out there. And with the O'Jays backing it up, you KNOW it's a mood-setter!
I bet it's one sweet mix...

I'll get on it & see what I can dig up.

"You got me curious, Rock..."

Well the song I am looking for is even better than the one from the Rocky Soundtrack. (What I want to know who is the originator?)
One night I was with one of my girlfriends and she grabbed that tape and we were making out. She noticed the song, got up lit some candles and set the mood. She said the song was very good and really put her in the momment. I would like to find this piece again. Not only is it good for making out, it is just a good tune to listen to while relaxing.

A song put your girl in the moment?
Ok I really need to know the name of this song.
No joke here, I havnt got any since they switched boxing to the 10 point must system.
If you cant find that song any help in finding Rohypnol would also be a great help. My wife is about as warm and loving as a James Toney pre fight press release.

Hey, I'm right there with you (almost.)
Don't feel bad.

Yes, a good batch of roofies can remedy many lonely nights.
(From what I've read, I clarify...)
There's actually a rapper from around here that made a song dedicated to that drug. Needless to say, he's doing (way) underground records. Eminem and Brotha' Lynch have NOTHING on this guy.

James Toney, huh? Yikes...
No question 'bout who wears the pants in the family, huh? J.K.

4. "Reflections"
'Reflections' was also the B-side of the Rocky single, 'Gotta Fly Now.' It was a huge song in dance club mixes for years, and it was ultimately released on its own 12-inch single back in the days of vinyl.

However, I cannot find any record of the O'Jays recording any song written or co-written by Bill Conti. Thus, I don't think they recorded it. They may have done something that sounded like it, but I don't have a clue what it was. Sorry.

The B-Side to "Gonna Fly Now"?
A huge song in the clubs?
Vinyl?

How old are you, brotha'?!?

That's some sh*t!

I like it, though. Old school, man...

I wanna check that club version out. I bet that sh*t was tight. A club hit, huh? Man, that must be a quintessential lost classic.
Another search I must undertake now...
