"Putting 2 and 2 together (SPOILERS)"
Spoiler coming soon, but for now I was wondering about The Early Show after the finale. Do you think they will interview all three remaining teams, or just the winner? If they do interview all three, will they do them all on the same show, or will they stretch it out over two or three days? Just curious.

OK, now the spoiler. It hit me one night that...

* Frank takes a dip in the ice, somewhere cold
* Thailand isn't that cold, where they will be most, if not all, of the coming episode (#10)
* The rest of southeast Asia isn't that cold either, where they will spend most of next week's episode (#11)
* Episodes #12 and #13 will be a two-part shootout to the finish

And the conclusion must be that Frank & Margarita make it to New York. I can't tell you if they WIN, but the preponderance of the evidence indicates that we won't be seeing any interviews with them soon.

I know it's pretty small, but there you go.

While I'd like to see Frangarita make it to New York as well, I think a lot depends on what goes on in Episode 11. Tomorrow, Episode 10 (11/21) I agree they will spend most of the time in Thailand, but there's no reason why they can't do all the tasks in Thailand and end up in some other southeast Asian city, perhaps Hong Kong as speculated. We know that Episode 11 (11/28) involves some kind of race including rickshaws. Episode 11 could have the teams starting in Hong Kong racing by rickshaw and boat and doing some kind of Detour there. Then they could take a plane to Alaska or the Yukon and do the Roadblock involving jumping into an icehole ("the person that completes this roadblock should have a warm heart"), with the episode ending in Whitehorse or Fairbanks and the elimination of the Guidos. Episode 12 starts off with the dogsled and takes them down to Mexico. The episode ends in a cliffhanger, with the three remaining teams battling on. Episode 13 takes them to Newfoundland and ends in New York, hopefully NOT on top of the WTC like Phil was at the very beginning.

While it appears that they have been sticking to one locale for each episode, I would hope that as the race goes on, endurance becomes much more of a factor. I expect the teams to get very little sleep over the last couple days. Of course, Episode 10 could be entirely in Thailand, 11 entirely in Hong Kong, 12 entirely in the Yukon, and 13 in Newfoundland (?) and New York.
At this point, I'd believe that anything is possible.

Go LAWYERS!
Go FRANGARITA!
Go FESTERS!

ANYONE BUT GUIDO!

Well, it's pretty much a foregone con. that Frank and Margarita make it to the finals. My guess is that the creepily well mannered boys from Brazil will be pitted against them on the final leg. My fav. the Festers however, won't.

Here's why: Lenny in an interview ( thanks KelvinKing, http://www.realitytvfans.com/newspub/story.CFM?ID=3923 )
said he was trying to hook up with the Festers in NY for more on its "singles scene" now that special K and he are together no more, and he's just taken up residence there.( No extensive editing needed here.... the Festers?!!! New York?!!! Good luck in the "singles scene".)
He mentioned a couple of contestants he got to know well-- eg. Paul & Amie, Nance & Em, and those that he openly shunned-- as in the Guidos. This could mean that Siegfried and Roy got eliminated early enough for L&K to have spent time avoiding them as kitty would Pepe le Pew. Lenny made no mention of Frank and Magarita, another brotha couple, or Super & Spidey (aka Clark Kent & Peter Parker), the clean-livin Noo Yawkers who besides just lookin like Marvel men, uphold justice in the city by day.

My reading of this is that the Guidos will be out of the race next, followed by Kevin and Drew. Since Frank and Margarita and
and the twin blue-eyed tigers Siegfried&Roy really wanted as pets make it to the finals, Lenny never got to know them well.

Another indication why the Guidos will go this week-- that much anticipated interview appearance they make.

Goober, LOL at your post, I had problems following some of the names you assign to each team.

<plugging in Goober to Cole translator>

"creepily well mannered boys from Brazil" = Lawyers? (call me stupid, but I don't get the reference)

"Super&Spidey" = Festers (another reference that escapes me, the good looking ones who look like Marvel men are the lawyers, I thought)

"twin blue-eyed tigers" = Lawyers again? neither are blue-eyed, it seems

Much of the speculation here is that three teams make it to the final leg for episodes 12 and 13 and that no one will be eliminated this week, 11/21. I'm not sure what interview of the Guidos you are referencing... I think you might be talking about that interview the writer in AmazingFan's ostrich egg post talks about. But that article was written long ago, and all it says is that the writer will get an interview at "the completion of the show". Doesn't tell me much.

Don't get me wrong, I hope you are right as I cannot stand the Guidos and would love to see the Lawyers and Frangarita finish 1-2.

Cole,

Obsure inferences to contestants involving too much artistic license =My bad

Creepily well-mannered boys from Brazil=Lawyers
(Had you watched the movie "Boys from Brazil", you'd have understood. It's sort of a post WWII version of the "Village of the Damned". R&B take after those genetically modified boys on some subliminal level.)

Super and Spidey= Lawyers
I was under the impression they were both from NY, but it's really just Brennan. And as it turns out they don't practice law there neither. My apologies.

twin blue-eyed tigers= Lawyers.
Picky, picky. Well if they weren't, they should be. How else to explain their startling good looks.

Admittedly I was pretty vague here but from what was shown on the latest promos, it's the Guidos' turn to get interviewed.
