Joyful 232 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Network TV Show Guest Star" 10-19-03, 00:23 AM (EST) "Clay on The View, what's the big news??" I saw Clay on the TV show "The View" and the lady in the hot dog suit said that big news was coming out about Clay either that day or the next. I haven't heard anything. Does anyone know what this "big news" is?   Top

"Clay Still In the News " All that matters to me is that I was right months ago when I posted out here that Clay had a big future and all too soon we'd be saying Rueben who??? I've seen Clay's cd in stores but not Rueben's. Does anyone carry Rueben's outside his home state?   Top

Could it be that it was much easier to get a cd full of useable material from Clay than it was from Rueben?Could Rueben's whole act revolve around what a teddybear he is and if you can't look at him while you listen to him sing you actually hear he doesn't have any talent?????   Top

I am one of many who are waiting patiently for Ruben's CD to debut. I guess you're living under a rock (or a Clay veil) because I hear about Ruben all the time in the news. Edited to say, Ruben is working with other artists on his album (they are writing songs for him) and has to schedule around their schedules. Clay's cd was finished and the powers that be didn't think it made sense to make Clay wait (and I totally agree). "Nothing comes between me and my TV!!!"   Top

"RE: Clay Still In the News " Regardless of why ruben's CD did not come out first, the fact of the matter is he won the title of American Idol so Clay, his label and those that are involved with his project should have taken a step back before stealing ruben's thunder. I mean what's the point of having an American Idol 3 when if you win you don't REALLY win......   Top

I'm sure Clay has a nice CD, but I've heard (from fans of his) that it wasn't the best that he could have possibly done. It's a good CD, but it isn't great. Maybe if he had taken more time it would have been better. I'm only talking from word of mouth, because I'm not a Clay fan and didn't buy the CD. "Nothing comes between me and my TV!!!"   Top

"RE: Clay Still In the News " LAST EDITED ON 11-11-03 AT 11:02 AM (EST) Geekboy, I am not saying that Clay is not talented or didn't produce a CD with "excellent results" (not that I have listened to it), I am just saying that Ruben won fair and square and thus should have been given the opportunity to shine a little more before Clay took the spotlight. Ruben won the votes, yes which were FAN based. So to say Clay won over the fans isn't really fair. Yes he won over many and his recent album sales have proven that. But fans seemed to have loved Ruben more or he would not have been declared the winner and if Rubens people got his Cd out faster I think he would have had an equal amount of fans buy his CD. -Bailey3   Top
