Rosewood 479 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Daytime Soap Guest Star" 10-10-02, 09:03 AM (EST) "The Curse of the Zoolanders!" All other teams beware! Do not follow the twins. Do not let them on your plane, train or automobile. Doing so will cause you bodily harm, or even worse, unanticipated delay. Do not befriend them and lose valuable time explaining things to them (it's a waste of time anyway). What happened last week when people followed the twins? They got lost! What happened when Ken and Gerard waited to tell the twins that they go the fastforward? Their fast forward was whittled down to a measly 3 hour advantage. The bus accident? It was the CURSE!!!! You see, they were cursed with the bodies and faces of gods, and now the entire universe conspires against them. Such beauty cannot exist- certainly not in twos! If the other teams are smart, they won't fall into the universe's foul plot and become its vengeful emissaries, but simply keep a wide and healthy distance from the maledicted pair, who, like Oedipus, will be destroyed by their own hubris.   Top

The entire time they were driving, I was actually awestruck by the depth of their bad luck/stupidity. Their one opportunity to separate themselves from the pack, and they have to ride the same bus as the lagging teams, get into an accident, then get lost... That combination of bad luck, and their special brand of stupidity that really comes from too much pride in/love for oneself is very familiar for anyone who has had to study greek tragedies. Ah! The pathos of the Amazing Race! Who would have thunk it?   Top
