I half-##### watched because it was free on HULU and I was trying a setup in my basement with my laptop and the treadmill.
I liked it well enough, but agree about the excess plot lines and characters. And yeah, country isn't really my thing. But the acting is good and the storyline has promise. If they tighten up the writing, I see this show being good.
